in italy we modify them... new intake, new intercooler, 200 cells downpipe, new exaust, and a new map... and 220 HP come out easy on a curvy road this car flies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the most fun car you can ever drive

Great video, only negative thing is you haven’t lived with the car long enough to give a proper review, I’ve owned mine years and have a different opinion to yours, think you read too much about them rather than get your own feeling for it.

I've recently bought a Skoda Octavia RS as my daily driver (needed the extra luggage and interior space) so I've been considering selling my 8V Audi S3 and buying a more dedicated weekend fun car. A few years ago I had an Alfa 147 GTA and I absolutly loved that car to death. It was not the quickest car on earth (around 14.5 seconds 1/4 mile) nor was it the most useful daily driver (manual, heavy on fuel, huge turning circle, etc) but my god that car had so much character. With the revvy and glorous sounding Busso V6, the aggressive bucket seats, the rediculously quick steering rack, the stylish interior...every time I drove that car it really felt like a special event, and every time it put the biggest smile on my face. Plus it was fun to own because it was such an interesting and unique looking car, and it just stood out so much from the usual crowd of Golf's, Audi's and BMW's. The GTA's are quite old now and it's getting hard to find parts, so sadly I was eventually forced to sell mine about 2 years ago, and every since I did I've been missing that feeling the car used to give me. When live/work started to feel repeitive and boring I would take the Alfa out for a couple of days and it would bring that smile back again. I've been trying to find another weekend car that will give me a similar type of experience. Every time I watch a video like this and see how the car makes people feel, it always makes me think of my Alfa and that smile it put on my face...so I'm starting to really think this car may be the one to go for. Plus I wouldn't mind having a fun weekend car that has the potential to one day become a classic / collector car, just as my Alfa GTA now is starting to. As the next gen of Abarth models stat turning to EV tech, I have a feelign these current Abarth 595/695 models migtht have the potential to become highly desirable classics, because there really isn't anything else like it out there. The closest thing is probably the Mini Cooper, but even that is much less extreme and more modest.

The first 6 sports cars I had were standard/manual. After the 10th time being stuck in rush hour traffic for an hour or 2 , you will opt for paddle shift believe me.

I had a E46 m3 manual. Great drivers car. Stepped up to an Audi R8 v10 manual. Nothing like the feeling and involvement of these cars. Pure joy.

Anyone who loves real driving knows that manual will always be the true and the best feeling thing...as you said...pressing a button to shift feels like a playstation...and thats not what we want...we want the feel the mechanical connection with the machine...i simply love manual i want a car for me to drive, not a computer to drive for me...😁

Such an amazing car. I estimated the lap time (with taking a point in mandeveen- duikersloot) This lap would something like 1.44, probably (a little) faster. Just for referance; A ferrari pista does it in 1.44.45, but thats on the limit.

I agree AMG is nice but the exhaust sounds have always been very synthetic sounding…

Ferrari believes F1 is the proper gearbox. Maserati used that gearbox for many their cars too. And then some blogger says "that's a shame" for them to have such a gearbox. Sure, whatever.
