Bridge75 PLUS by Shortcut Studio | showcase and sound tests
*this board was sent to me by Shortcut Studio
Another 75% pre-built for today's vid and this board only starts at 85 USD!
TLDR on my opinion about this board (which are mainly a preference thing so take it with a grain of salt): Sounds good only with foams; too many flex cuts for my preference; stock stabilizers ticks and rattles on my unit (wire needs to be tuned); switches over lubed for my preference (sounds a bit mushy); love the cherry lip design and the ball-catch system
The board sounds foamy and marbly stock so you'll be happy with this board if that's the sound preference you're after. The design of the board is very simple and minimal but I love that they added the cherry front lip design! The ball-catch system is a plus for me as usual because it makes the disassembly so much easier!
The keycaps are good quality but (preference again!) I do not like how faded the legends are on the alphas. The switches sounded okay, a little too mushy for me. Some of the stabilizers were quite rattly on my unit so I had to tune the wires but they still tick and you can hear the ticks clearly in the sound tests.
The plate and PCB has too many flex cuts which affects the sound of the board. The board sounds best with all the foams; sounds too thin and 'dead' when I remove the foams. I think this board would be perfect for a beginner (or hobbyist) since it is a pre-built so you don't have to build or purchase switches and keycaps separately. For the price point, I think the Bridge75 is worth the money if you do not care about the limited customization options.

NuPhy Halo75 v2 | Showcase and sound tests
zhlédnutí 2KPřed dnem
*this board was sent to me by NuPhy Today's video features a pre-built 75% board from NuPhy, the Halo75 v2. Although modding the board is possible, I did not showcase it. NuPhy does not recommend disassembling this board by yourself as the cases were held by clips which may break. I've had this happened before in a past pre-built board so I have decided to showcase the Halo75 v2 as it is. I per...
the prettiest 40% i've ever seen | DUO by LAZYDESIGNERS
zhlédnutí 2,5KPřed 21 dnem
After the Cloud build, I was convinced that I should own another LAZYDESIGNERS board. The aesthetics of the Duo is what caught my eye. I did not join the GB for Duo but I had to immediately DM Jacky to order one when the extras dropped! The e-beige and dark gold PVD combo was my first choice and I was so relieved this combo was still in stock! The Duo is a gasket mounted board so it sounds quit...

HIBI HERO | Build and sound tests

If you know my channel, you know I love @hibidesign products and of course I had to get the HERO! I also included a sound test of JUNE at the end since I think both boards are very similar. Even the build is exactly the same, minus the case of course. It's also super easy to interchange the PCB and plate to either board as well! The blend of case material (aluminium with silicone base) really i...

*This board was sent to me by Ordinary Labs My first keyboard that uses magnetic enclosure system! This board is an interesting one since it's my first time trying a magnetic top frame keyboard! It also features a hotswap PCB with RGB and flex cuts. If flex cuts are not your thing, you can get the flex cut plugs separately from the keyboard kit. The strong points about the Dymium 65 is definite...

My first FRLTKL | TKD's Cycle7
zhlédnutí 938Před 2 měsíci
The Cycle7 sounds too good to be true but it is worth the hype Every single review raved about the board so I had to hop on board the GB and see it for myself. I paid for less than 200USD and it is worth every penny. Although the aesthetic of the board is very simple, the sound is fantastic on this board. However I did find a problem where the PCB was hitting the bottom case and still not sure ...

*This board was sent to me by LAZYDESIGNERS @jackylijun This is actually not my first 40% build! I've build both the Dimple and Apricot (both from LAZYDESIGNERS) but posted them as short form vids. I definitely had a hard time using 40% boards and I think that's normal if you're not used to layering. Building Hibi June R2 | Purquoise, Fairy Bread & Milk Tea

This build mainly focuses on June Purquoise and a speed build of Fairy Bread. I built Milk Tea off-camera but I included the sound test of it at the end of the vid! This is not my first time building the Junes as I've already built the Office Beige and Monster Fuzz last year, I just never posted the build or sound tests here. Like most people, I was very skeptical of how a silicone board sounds...

Do you feel any echo sound on no case foam or no plate foam build in reality?
What is that tool you are using please
i feel like the orange keycaps are messing with me lol but would you say the cream color of the case is more warm toned???
definitely leans towards warm tone. almost has an orange hue to it
What is the plate material? Sounds and looks good!
Thanks! It’s FR4 plate
Cute keyboard, nice video!
What is Pom plate? Is it the one that comes with it when u but the keyboard? Does it take force to type with the raspberry switches
Yes it comes with the keyboard. The raspberry switches are pretty light and doesn’t need force to type on. If you love light switches, you should get the mint ones. They’re lighter than raspberry
Can I customise the rgb colours?
Yes you can!
How much total? sir
No shine through key caps. RGB rather useless that way🤔
they have shine through keycaps bruh lmao. i got mine for $12, still shipping though.
I honestly prefer with no shine through keycaps🤷♀️ you can purchase shine through keycaps separately if you prefer that
thats so cute
first
what stabs are you using? will regular durock v2 stabs work with the alice layout or are there specific stabs that you need to build this board?
I’m using the neostabs, which will be included as a free gift when you order a Neo ergo. The 2u Durock stabs will work too
Great video! 🙂
I wish the under side want made from ABS 😭
That would defeat the whole purpose
No I meant like other materials, the V2 has ceramic top, and ABS bottom@@noahbiggsreal
Haha ya I understood what you meant, I just think it would make it not sound as good since ceramic and abs vibrate at different frequencies.
@@noahbiggsreal yeah I agree! hope they try more stuff out for V3, ceramic joining soft metals can be done, but then the price would be astronomical
Very nc 😂😂
Hi can you recommend keycap set for Navy color keyboard?
i really like white keycaps on a navy board!
Very useful video Thanks
Crazy configs, thank you for all the work you put into this video!
would you say the wristrest is worth it? curious to know if its needed because of the tenting or i can survive without it lol
It really depends on your typing habit. I don’t use wrist rests in general. I also feel the tenting angle is not extremely high. So I prefer to type it without the wrist rest, but that’s just me
Is it VIA supported?
Yes
What do you think would be the best foam configuration for a clacky/marbly build? Somewhere in between. IXPE sheet only? PE sheet and PCB foam, but no case foam? Or just no foams at all.
I would probably go for with either only PE foam or only plate foam! I still prefer no foam but it’s your preference honestly!
@@key_rist Will give it a try! Have you noticed any loosening of the ball catch throughout your tests?
Not at all!
Its so satisfying
Thank you for building this right way, without the arrow keys :) That up arrow left of the right shift is terrible
Glad I found your channel recently; so relaxing here
These days the more you there is to build the board yourself the more expensive it is it's just like going to a restaurant where they charge you more to cook your own food lol
Amazing video!! Question, where can I find those triangles bowls you were using in the video? I really like those
Those are the Tria trays from LAZYDESIGNERS. Here’s the link: lazydesigners.cn/tria-spots/ Join their discord server and PM Jacky to order
This keyboard is gorgeous, my broke a** is going to keep modding cheap Epomaker and Royal Kludge keyboards
Hey nothing wrong with those boards tho!
@@key_rist super easy to mod and cheap so win win
not sure i could live iwt5h just 40 keys. I need all the symbol keys on my computer for programing. so unless the function key let you select more options on the existing symbol keys, i don't think i could do it.
Yes I use layering with the function keys. Not sure how feasible it is for programming tho🤔
Not disappointed ! Just realized I haven’t subscribed to your channel yet. ✅ done. Keep building, awesome video. And 40% ftw
Those HIBI Pudding artisans are delicious, and so is this build
That looks pretty nice! My preference when it comes to 40%s are on the "cooler" side because I think the layout offers itself better to that. The best (and coolest) 40% I've seen so far is the TPS 40 and I'm desperately waiting for an R2.
finally another asmr type keeb related creator. i subscribed upon 5 seconds of watching
I never considered my content to be so relaxing to others! Thank you and it means a lot🙏
Love your videos :) No filler and awesome video production. I recently got into keyboards and now I think I've passed the point of no return. I started with a Q12 Max Southpaw Keychron a month ago and now I'm up to 3 keyboards and have thrown my old razer & logitech keyboards in the closet. I'm now down the thocky rabbit hole lol.
Welcome to the keyboard hobby! it is a rabbit hole down here😅
Another great build and video - great job on the mill-max socket soldering !
Great video! I have always wanted to try out a 40% keeb, but the problem is finding keycap sets that have those small twin space bars.
i haven't been in the Keeb scene for a minute (my wallet thanks me) but gosh this is just so cute... i kinda need it
you made the duo sound soooo good. smh now i need to consider getting another jacky board
It’s a never ending cycle at this point🫠
loved the video!
Omg thank you! I’m so honoured that you loved my video😭
I just ordered a duo and couldn’t find any videos here on CZcams so thank you for uploading this! It will be my first 40 🥳 P.s. this was one of the most relaxing build videos I’ve ever watched 🤍
I absolutely LOVE how 40's look but I type so badly on them lmao. I wanted to go in on this 40 keeb the paintbrush I think it was called but I know I wouldn't be able to type on it. Also Pc Plate with PBT keycaps sounds soooooo GOOD! Lovely build and great video!
it seems like there is a confusion regarding the installation of the LED diffusers. I placed mine on top of the plate as I was only following the official Neo Ergo build guide on their notion page. I have also confirmed with the QK/Neo Rep and I built them correctly. however, people were saying that they should go through from under the plate. and it also seems like the notion build guide has also now changed to the latter method. tbh I don't know which is the correct method anymore but going through under the plate makes a lot more sense, as the diffusers do not fall off easily!
Right. They also don’t protrude as high when installed from under the plate. Probably there is also some visual changes as they get closer to the LEDs.
Great video. So well put together with time stamps and everything. I've ordered this board and should have it in a week. Can't wait now.
Is one of the Puddings white or beige? Beautiful board.
It’s the office beige pudding!
How much do you actually see the glitter? If your video is accurate it should be pretty minor.. hopefully. I am wondering because I saw a video of the red one with glitter and there the glitter was pretty intense. Amazing work, nice Video!
Yes it is very minor. It is more noticeable under direct lighting though. I think it’s also because my unit is cream/light coloured that’s why glitters are not very obvious. With brighter or darker colour base, I can imagine the glitters are more intense!
@@key_rist Thank you! Just the response i needed. Just ordered one.
Such a facinating build! Really like the sound and the visual.
Very professional
It such an amazing board! and the sound test config you did for us damn must took a lot of time to do that haha
