Are you ready for a 40% build? | Cloud by LAZYDESIGNERS

This is actually not my first 40% build! I've build both the Dimple and Apricot (both from LAZYDESIGNERS) but posted them as short form vids. I definitely had a hard time using 40% boards and I think that's normal if you're not used to layering. I mean I had a hard time using a 60% one year ago because "I NeEd mY aRrOw KeYs" but I daily 60% now. I still struggle a bit using 40% but I think I am improving compared to the first time I was exposed to 40%. Not gonna lie, I would get 40% boards purely just how adorable they look!
When I get the Cloud and saw the colour, I was a bit disappointed that it was not a true beige but more of a light green hue. But it is still a nice colour nonetheless but a true beige would look so nice! I LOVE the RGB light bar and is my favourite feature of the board. I went with solder PCB because I think 40% look so much more "symmetrical" with a 7u spacebar. Maybe it's just me? After owning three LAZYDESIGNERS boards, to me their boards usually have a slight resonance when typing. The Cloud is no exception, probably due to the top mount.

not sure i could live iwt5h just 40 keys. I need all the symbol keys on my computer for programing. so unless the function key let you select more options on the existing symbol keys, i don't think i could do it.

Yes I use layering with the function keys. Not sure how feasible it is for programming tho🤔
