This is my first full sized and also my first Meletrix Zoom series board so I was very excited to build this! I was surprised by how good the board sounds however the flex wasn't my cup of tea. I prefer a more stiffer typing feel so I may get an aluminium or FR4 plate in the future. For now, I have my board built with plate and PCB foams and I personally think this combination sound the best! I'm most probably going to be using this board at work since the number pad would be very useful for when I'm using my excel sheet🤭

*I tested the PCB prior to filming the build. Please test your PCB first before building your boards
*This is a prototype unit and a couple of things will be improved in the final units, e.g.:
- Dimple dot will be replaced with a telescope logo
- Light leaks will be improved
- Rubber feet will be improved to fit the bottom case better

Very professional
Great job! I've just thrown my noisy ringing Varmilo from the window.
😅
Amazing work krissssssss--did ur rubber feet thingies easily slip off???
It doesn’t slip off! Just doesn’t fit very well, but this is only on the prototype units. They will fix this in the final units
As a 1800 layout user, this gives me mixed feelings 😂
It's basically full size, many I read didn't like it. That said I'm really intrigued by the design. A unique twist on a full size keyboard. I think it's pretty boring if we strictly commit to the established form factor.
@@bltzcstrnx I can see this as a good alternative for better looking full size but with slightly smaller size but same functionality, and the additional screen just makes it cooler.
main point is the price point. started with the qk100. My daily rn is an Odin but still joined this gb mainly just for the value this keyboard brings.
@@alieffauzanrizky7202yeah, the screen is pretty unique. I'm actually quite torn between the screen and QMK support. Finally ended up with the wired version and a badge module for the open-source QMK instead of proprietary firmware. This is my first custom and GB, so I wanted it to last. No batteries and community supported open-source firmware seems to be the right choice for me.
How’s the front height? Does it seem like you’ll need a wrist rest?
It does seem a little higher than all my other keyboards but it’s doable. I can still type without a wrist rest
its at 22mm
The gasket flex on this one will be minimum at best i guess
Thank you for the video. Would you say that the color you have, strawberry ice cream, is very pink? I am debating between milk tea and strawberry ice cream. I want to use my KBDFans vior keycap set with it.
I don’t think it’s a bright pink for sure. It’s almost like a pastel pink or like a strawberry milk colour! I think vior will give a nice contrast with this colourway
I was also torn between these two colors. I ended up settling for the the strawberry ice cream based on the photos I saw the other people have the board. Both are gorgeous choices though. I just wish when I bought it there were more options for the back plate in stock. My only option was white.
How heavy is it?
With everything mounted on, it’s about 3.5kg
@@key_rist jesus that's crazy. How do they expect us to carry this to and fro from work and home 😂
😂 ikr
Qk100 is much better than this
Never tried the qk100! Mind sharing why the QK is better?
Im typing on one right now, its better because it was basically an in stock sale (Got mine in like 2 weeks). Sound wise its impressive as it sounds great with no foam, so the characteristics of the switches really stand out. It has 2 mounting styles and like keybored said in his review 276,480 Ways To Build it, still hyped for Zoom98 though. Its got its own little thing going (I also own a Zoom75 big fan of Meletrix) @@key_rist
