How To Win Deals Without A Strong Clinical Advantage | MedSales Daily Vlog Episode 23
Many times in medical sales, particularly with capital equipment, it can be hard to make a strong clinical case as to why your product is better. That's not to say there aren't capital products that don't have a strong clinical argument, but in many areas of the business, the difference is minimal.
The objective is then to put together a value proposition that, while it includes the clinical component, highlights the aspects of your product that makes the staff lives' easier or the most financial sense.
In this video, I outline some of the things to think about and the reality that many clinical decisions are being influenced by people who don't have a strong understanding of the clinical advantages of one product over another.

Id be taking a huge initial pay cut but it sounds promising that I would make much more after I got promoted into a full time sales rep.     Are you in the OR? Why don't hospitals let their customer (patient ) know you are in the room with them. With my husbands surgery my husband nor I were even able to read a consent or were told a rep would be there. This is just not right.

    Hi Kolby, I'm a senior in nursing school and will graduate with my BSN in a few months. I am preparing to work a sales/recruiting job this semester and have an abundance of medical knowledge, as well as clinical experience working in an ER. If you were in my shoes, would you go all-in on trying to break into med sales or would you work as a nurse for 1-2 years first to be able to really market yourself as a reliable expert in the medical field?

      If you’re sure you want to do med sales, I would recommend trying to get in now instead of sticking with nursing. Having nursing experience actually doesn’t have as much relevance to med sales and you may think. My guess is it would be harder to get into med sales after a couple years of nursing than it would right now.

    I'm particularly interested in pharmaceutical sales as I have a deep passion for undertsanding the neurobiology of drugs, and in particular, novel drugs to treat neuropsychiatric disorders (depression, adhd, anxiety and psychotic disorders).
