That was a great interview with an extremely talented and brilliant individual. Dr. Shaw has definitely been a great influence on our hobby. I particularly enjoyed the history part of the interview. I do, however, have a not so positive comment. Toward the end of the interview Dr. Shaw states "we won". I found that to be a bit of a devisive and condescending comment. I thought we were to invite any and all types of flying aircraft, not just electric. I also was under the impression that there were no "winners" or "losers" in this great hobby with no right or wrong way to do things. Just come on out and fly and be safe. It's all good as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for your time from one of the many "loser" glow fuel burning airplane enthusiasts. You can all laugh now....... Thanks again.

Outstanding show. I've read about Keith over the years. Read his articles too. I've seen his planes at the Toledo expo. This was such a great interview. It should be made available by link to anybody reading his AMA bio. It reminds me of the conversations I had with George Aldrich, all dust blown away because they were not recorded. Real nice video. I had never heard of RC Roundtable before and didn't know it was a podcast until about the 40 minute mark of the video. If I was at a RC swap meet and was involved in a RC podcast I'd be telling everyone willing to listen. Using the mics during this video made all the difference in the world. Very nicely done video. J&H Aerospace are suppliers of free flight kits and supplies. They are not just selling stuff but are also active members of the hobby.

Fitz's providence on a plane is worth $40 - I bought a Funtana from him at a swap meet (outside DFW) that needed a little TLC and told him he had to sign it if I bought it. He raised a suspicious Mr. Spock looking eyebrow, but said he has done a lot more for a lot less and he took the cash and proceeded to sign it. I think Fitz thought I was trying to get a copy of his signature for nefarious reasons, so he quickly scribbled something on the wing. (If I had not been watching him do it, I would have sworn he signed it with the toes from his left foot!) 🤣😎 I fixed it up, and made several flights with it, and then gave it to my friend Jim's great nephew (Preston) -- Jim and I trained Preston to fly, and within 12 months, he was flying circles around us! - I have videos of it posted - (in case anyone wants to learn to forge Fitz's signatures on some of their planes, to increase the value of them) 😉

The Militaria show Fitz talks about, and some folks having tanks, reminds me of an old James Garner movie from the 80's named TANK. Someone asked him why in the world he would want to own a tank, and Garner replied something to the effect of "Well, for one thing, I find it awfully hard to accidentally shoot myself when I'm cleaning it!") - Funny stuff there. I knew a fellow that owned an M22 and I teased him about that every time he rolled it out for the city parades. or private events. (He always said they only trusted him with the tank, and his wife was only trusted with the fuel, but neither of them were trusted for the ammo! haha

On the Sky ID modules - It seems to me if folks looked at it like gun registration, it would be a moot point. For example, this past month, Illinois passed legislation that required the registration of certain types of firearms. The majority of the citizens thumbed their nose, and publicly decried that they were not going to comply, and some even made social media posts inviting the state to come confiscate them (or try to?) It got to the point that many Sherif's said they would not be enforcing the law. Originally, the State Police said they would be enforcing it, but eventually, they also recognized that it was not a practical law, so they backed down as well. (Though the law is still on the state books) I fly at a sanctioned site, and do not need one, but to be honest, if I did not have the local field, I doubt I would comply with it. (I do have the FAA# and of course AMA#, but in my view, this rule makes about as much sense as the firearm registrations. No evil-doer is going to register either, and these types of laws just impact good folks. (If the field was not available, or if the FRIA was killed and they required these on all models at the field, I guess I would not renew anything.) The requirement will not impact the dummies that fly dangerously. They will still do dumb things. (The old saying is, you can not legislate stupid) Ultimately, I think this (and gun registration laws) will be used as add-on charges. That is, if a person is caught doing something else, and they see the non-compliance of these silly rules, they will add the charges to it, to enhance whatever the original infraction was.

So sad this place closed... All the good shops are all closing.

Between the wings may be correct if you don’t consider the vertical location. It may be the point of the question to think about the vertical displacement of the CG. My guess anyway
