You can offset the spacers on the deepwall impacts to give it a little more front to back stability.
I have yet to have any fall over!
Could you give the sizes of the stickers I would like to remake them myself?
Your best bet would probably just be to look at where mine are and roughly measure out how big that area is on your plastic! Hope you get it!
Ok will do that thanks
You can buy a file cleaning hand brush. It is flat (maybe 2", 50 mm wide) with many properly spaced short (1/4" tall) metal "hairs" standing up and these hairs fit into the grooves in a file. Works great on fine and coarse files. Drag the brush across the file ata slight angle in the direction of the grain of the file. You may even feel the brush as it glides across the file cleaning the low area of the file (between the file's teeth). A couple passes then move along the file to a new section until you cleaned the complete file or the dirty area.
Hello there I have a question? I have this same atv and my question is of the rims, would the Yamaha moto4 warrior aluminum rims fit on your or my atv??? Please let me know. Cause I want restore my moto4 by updating its look too.
Hmmmm that I’m not sure about. 🤔 I’m not gonna be much help. I don’t have a warrior to compare to
Oh forgot to say that mines 4 lug in the rear not 3.
Great vid best I have seen
Awesome! Thank you!
Brilliant, thanks for the tip!
Old school big bore she's tierd
Very tired!
Hey man I lost the spring for one of the lines to the carb do you know where to get one
Like the hose protector? You can try looking on Partzilla and see if it’s still available thru Suzuki. I’m sure it’s not expensive
@@ToyShop9665 it’s the spring that goes into the choke line
I have a 1990 Polaris Trail Boss 350 4x4, I need to do this very fix... won't retract. I love these old machines, but sometimes working on them is a test of a guy's patience.
Which carb did you calibrate the syncpro to? The closest one to the handle bars or the one where the carb is below the seat?
Whichever one gives you vacuum enough to pull the fluid up. It doesn’t matter when you’re just trying to calibrate them so they’re even.
I'm having trouble with the big o'ring on the bottom of the cylinder. I squeezed out and ruined the base gasket. It doesn't seem to have enough room.
Did you get it figured out? Sorry just saw this. I don’t remember having this issue on mine 🤔
@ToyShop9665 I bought a smaller o'ring going to try it again. The parts diagram doesn't show an o'ring on the right rear head bolt hole, but it looks like it takes one. I have to do the valves and seal too, just waiting on parts.
You’re a life saver man! Great video
Glad it helped! Clutch baskets are expensive!
Great! I have installed a reverse case on my Skidoo Formula czcams.com/video/nLHg05zDGzI/video.html
Great video. My 4 stroke 03 trailboss 330 uses a different system. It had a diaphragm on a spring and has a flap that opens. It also doesn’t appear I can take out near as many jets.
Yup that’s a CV carb which is very different on top compared to a normal round slide carb. The bottom of the carb should be similar but not identical. Thanks!
Where can I get that part at
Maybe eBay?
It was a good time can't wait till next year
I just bought a new caliper with pads installed for 45$ and put it in took maybe 20 minutes
Jealous 🙄😂
Awesome video!! Is there any chance you know where the VIN number is located? I have the same bike and can not find it. Thank you!
Pretty sure it’s on the bottom LH tube infront of the foot peg.
I just had front sproket catastrophique failure, destroy case, water pump ,clutch push rod in pieces and just realize looking at pictures that the shafts end is destroyed was beat up by the sproket and still in the front cover case . RiiP 2007 Yzf600r with 36k 😢😅 ...
Ouch 😅 I’m so sorry about your loss 😭😂
Just took the Clutch out take that rod out and no damage in Clutch housing, there is way to retreated the shafts end. Hope is all that bike have to be save.
so my bike wen going lurches like a skip would this be it
It’s very possible
What did u do to remove the old spray paint thanks!
I only did what I showed in the video. I used the citrus stuff to get the bulk of it off and then I sanded it to get the rest off.
That old bike brings back some memories. We have one on the farm. It was very reliable and would go through just about anything without getting stuck It would pull a loaded hay wagon as long as you could get traction That super low would pull. We still have it but it's sitting outside in the graveyard probably seized at this point. It had a rough life. It definitelyowed us nothing.
I assume its the same for the 1400
I’m not sure on that one. I’ve never had my hands on one!
I’m thinking I might just use the pull start lol don’t know
lol that’s would be the easiest thing 😂
great job!
Hey good job! Where did you find that seat cover. Also a good way to patch up the seat foam is with carpet foam. 👍
Great tip! I just added the link to the description for you!
thanks, ive just replaced the timing chain on my tw200 (its the same engine) I didn' t remove the top sprocket though, just sort of derailed the chain off of it after removing the tensioner it worked fine, I put the new chain back on the same way👍
Awesome! I’m glad you got it!
Seems like having a 3D printer would pay for itself.
It might 🤷🏻♂️ I agree it’s over priced for what it is but I like them and don’t have to time or desire to make it myself 😂
Is there No gasket for the middle drive gear?
No I had to use gasket sealer. 🤷🏻♂️
So the flywheel is located on the key way on the shaft?
Yup!
25:21 bruh.... Your neighbors dont want to see you do that in the middle of your yard.
😂😂😂 they’ll keep their eyes to themselves
After rebuild was done did you have to do anything to prime oil injection? or maybe mix first tank of gas?
I don’t think I primed it but I don’t remember. It never hurts to run a gallon of premix in it and then go back to straight gas.
Another part for this series! Excited to see you back on this project
How many turns did you do around the white plastic piece and the coil??
I don’t remember. I don’t like memorizing a number. That’s why I do it this way
Where can i find adapters for the sync ports on the carb ???
If you google it you should be able to find them. I remember seeing them when I was looking to buy the sync sticks on ebay
I can not get my cam bolt to loosen up to get it out Any tips would be great!
I just gave her the ugga duggas and it came off. Make sure the timing chain adjuster is still installed because putting an impact on it isn’t the most ideal thing to do and that should help eliminate some of the unnecessary torture to the chain and sprockets. Also make sure you’re going lefty loosey. If you don’t have an impact maybe stick a screw driver in the sprocket teeth and let it come around until it binds under the chain and the use a ratchet. I wouldn’t use an impact on it this way though.
Awesome! Did your new piston hold up in your old bore is the machine running today? Also did you ever do a compression test after this top end rebuild was done and machine up and running? Im debating whether to get mine bored out or just change out the piston i have minor cylinder wall scuffs on my cylinder..
Yup it’s still running! I didn’t do a compression test on it. If you only have a few scuffs I’d just hone it and do piston and rings. I was taught if you can catch your fingernail on a gouge then it needs bored or replated.
Thank you so much this was easier than I thought! Very helpful
any chance that you could give the link to the kit?
I just had my local Napa cross reference thw bearing for me and the seal it borderline impossible to find 😅
@@ToyShop9665 I am taking my moto 4 apart right now to fix the drive shaft bearing. Or at least something in there because it has issues. To get those axle nuts off, are they left or right thread off? The ones you need to hammer?
@@ToyShop9665 I was wondering if you had any footage of taking apart the rear end, the getting everything off part. I can’t seem to figure out how to actually get to the drive shaft. Did you take the rear axle out with a press?
@@TheRook12325 hey sorry. Im pretty sure they’re normal threads 🤔 You should watch the first :30 of the first video of the restoration. I have a time lapse of me tearing apart the quad. I definitely didn’t struggle that bad with it so I think once I got the nuts off it came right out. 🤷🏻♂️ it comes out the brake side opposite of the nuts.
@@ToyShop9665 thanks for answering me this is great. I am going to post a video of what I have off so far. My axle seems to be stuck on. It’s just splined onto a gear in the diff I think. Thanks.
Thanks 💯
Thanks for the video. Helped me clean the carb on my 2005 Rubicon. Almost identical disassemble and reassemble.
Organizers just make a nice color box look so full 🔥🔥 this dope tech!
I love it!
So are the holes on the flywheel to put the puller bolts in metric? Are the bolts that came in that harbor freight kit metric? I would have guessed their imperial?
The kit definitely has a mix of both in it but I’m not sure what the thread size actually is.
I have a 1990 Polaris trailblazer, I was riding it full throttle and suddenly I could hear the intake sound over the exhaust sound if that makes any sense. It slowed down and died and now it’s got 60psi compression. Gunna give it a top end rebuild thanks for the video
Thanks for the great video and all of the tips to make it easier to accomplish.
I have that exact fourwheeler. Probably use it at least 4 or 5 times a week. Very reliable!!!!
