    Fantastic video. I hope more people stumble across it like I have. All the therapy and most of the medications just made me suffer worse but re starting a skill my Nana first taught me as a child, the skill or art of crochet was the start for me. Crochet has assisted me more than I would have ever dreamed possible. I have alot of trauma in my past, childhood trauma, chronic illness, Major depression, Anxiety, ME/CFS and PTSD. I too was a Paramedic but after 3.5 decades of looking after others it's time to look after me. And crochet and living rural on property with my dogs is truly helping me. Thank you so much for sharing your powerful story. Much love 💗💗💗

    My mom and sister are going to the Caribbean in a couple weeks. They usually go in the winter but the only opening was in the summer, so hurricanes will be something to worry about. I never go with them, but maybe next year, my mom and I want to go to Washington DC.

    I needed this. I'm still stuck in old patterns that manifest as being extremely anxious when in high volume public areas like stores or sporting events.

      Sometimes it helps to step outside of yourself and become the dispassionate observer to find those blocks and the root cause of your anxiety. It's hard to deal with when you are in the thick of the situation. I am really glad this medtiation was a benefit for you!

    I will admit that I was severely bullied all through school, and for a time, I was like Doc Hudson in the first Cars movie: a bitter, loathing man who alienated people I had known and wanted nothing to do with them. Not to mention that I had a very short, almost volatile temper. Which did land me in trouble with the assistant principal a few times. I've really mellowed out now that I'm almost 37.

      I'm very sorry to hear that you were bullied but I am very glad to hear you have found more peace. Anger, and sometimes irrational anger, can manifest at any point in our lives. I hope this technique is a benefit to you should you need it in the future.

      Finding the right method for you is important. I'm terrible with daily planners myself. I forget to update them and then knowing I'm not updating them stresses me out. Lol!

      Your yoga/meditation space is beautiful. Mom’s painting is lovely! I 100% agree about clutter and depression. I’ve been trying very hard over the last year to go through closets, drawers, shelves - one by one and clean and toss. (I also have a mini-fridge in my work/craft space.) I have a small meditation table - but after seeing yours, I’m inspired. And I need a singing bowl!

      I'm so glad you got some inspiration! For me, it's all about filling the space with things that keep me grounded on the meditation side and personal items that bring me joy or remind me of love/loved ones on the office side to help bat off stress. No matter where I look, I see love.

      Hi there! Those are mala beads. In one of the very early videos I spoke a bit about them but I plan on doing a full mala bead meditation soon. They are used as a tool to help you stay focused on your meditation. I have two sets, one that is a rosewood bead that often travels with me and the one you see in this video which is made from semi precious gemstones that I had custom made for me.

    I work in a very high stress environment. Due in large part to my overbearing boss of a woman. She constantly piles workloads on me, and doesn't respect my personal time. She always texts, calls, and emails me at home, with the strict expectation that I reply immediately. I can't turn my phone off.

      I completely understand. The stress of my career has severely impacted my mental health at various times over the years. The methods and tools I'll be sharing on this channel have truly helped me mitigate those effects, helped me set boundaries, and reclaim a more balanced mindset.
