Can't wait to use! Hopefully they'll have all their UAC issues figured out soon
Nice and free lol
I’m trying to start rapping and have a very aggressive style with loud vocals, do you think a Lauten audio LS-208 would work? I saw a singer using it and don’t know how it would handle my voice, very new to how microphones work. Any advice would be appreciated!
Make sure you run it thru a preamp and yo should be good. That’s with any mic you use.
@@Dahomestudio thanks, didn’t realize I needed one.
@@TRICKSTR423 well you don’t need one to record most interfaces have one built in but they are trash depending on how much you spent for it. The preamp give the vocal some color and your able to control the peaks before it hits your interface.
@@Dahomestudio thank you! A was about to drop 500 for a crappy one channel lol
@@TRICKSTR423 lol the way music is just streaming you could probably get a way with it
I used FL Studio for years and I'd make a beat in about an hour or two. The MPC totally made my workflow way faster. I can cook like 5 to 10 beats a day easy
How it sounds?
It sounds nice- Real tight and clean. No sound can bounce around the room
Part 2?
You already know this, but the MPC One has AUTO sampling digitally and with ANALOG gear (use Midi and it plays the notes automatically to sample!), you can sample any sounds from your must have VSTs. That's really the only way I know of.
When you export stems the tempo information is stored with it. Most DAWs have this implemented already.
TLM 102! sounds good!
Love it!!
Kinda like the beat 🔥🔥🔥

💪🏼
That beat fire tho
Shidddd that beat 🔥🔥🔥
I used the MPC one in a Dawless setup for 3 years. Had various setups including Microkorg, Minilouge XD, Korg Krome, SP404 and Cobalt 5s. It's a really intuitive way to make beats, I never used the software because it defeated the object for me. I started to have issues with the workflow and found I was creating a lot of loops and not finishing the song. I think the new MPC are trying to hard to do everything which causes it to fall behind in a many areas. In the end it felt like I was trapped so I just migrated back to DAW and honestly its like i been set free. I sold all of my hardware and copped Komplete 14 standard license transfer, Cubase 13, Komplete Kontrol s49 and a few other essentials. I gotta say im loving it and its so much easier to be inspired and created for me. There is so much power using a daw and technology has moved on to where I feel the MPC workflow was regressing me musically
Music is music- don’t matter how you do it. Just be creative!!! 💪🏼

Hey I appreciate that!!
You’re a step up from most, congrats. But I would like to chime in on your advice. The ball foam becomes useless the further away, your room gets fused more in distance, close proximity is advice, tho proximity effect becomes more present but at least less room. I would prioritize room acoustics before cables. Example, I’d buy some silicone or spring caps for your monitors as desk resonance will build in your sound. Not to say great cables aren’t good for at least your recording chain but a messy capture will defeat the best microphone and gear. Here’s a small solution, a dynamic microphone with good rejection at close proximity is good. All is not lost and headphones can play a vital role in mixing. This is not to say you or anybody can’t get great results with what’s available, where there’s a will there’s a way.
Hey I appreciate that!! If you can get good placement with sounds and vocals I think anybody can have good mix. The things that use to matter doesn’t anymore with everything being a digital stream. I come from an analog setup 16 track with a little outboard gear and we had to struggle to get a good mix. In an untreated room I will never mix on my monitors. I will either do a mix with my headphones or go to a professional studio as I have shown in a few videos on my channel. That’s just me. I do believe with the right cables and knowing how to EQ, in today’s music world you can get a good mix at home. The main thing about this channel is the challenges we face with a home studio. The eyeball is good tool it do not sound like a vocal booth, but I think it’s good tools. I hear a different between frequencies. I also have 10 panels on the walls, but I have seen people rapping out in the open idk what it sound like tho lol,
@@Dahomestudio yeah, most actually do record open, the trick is controlling air flow, unless recording for dialogue then dead air is best because it brings more throat and proximity. I should go find your studio sessions as I’m always interested in its vibe. I agree digital is great as I’m ITB myself but, capturing is priority OTB and want to keep minimal process ITB. It’s funny when top engineers claim 100% ITB when top tracking engineers have their tracks 80% there with the best analog gear and professional facilities, and assistant brings it 10% closer to finish. Sometimes the ruff makes the cut😬. But what separates them from most is their ability to understand genre then twist a little their taste. That’s my Opinion, I still like to be open to being full of 💩.
@@americatunedright1211 what setup are you using?
@@Dahomestudio digital mostly, ProTools, Reason, Hilo, coaxial full range monitors…mostly my room is my prize at the moment.

Great video, i got 100$ for a mic can you recommend a good solid budget mic boss ? i got interface already. and where did you get that pop filter that ball one ? :=)
Try getting a rode NT1a or AT2020. You can get a pop filter from your local music store for about $30 or Amazon. The eye I bought from the actual website. www.kaoticaeyeball.com
Thanks ! should i get a normal NT1 SS it has pop filter n shockmount coming in as well ?@@Dahomestudio
@@Dahomestudio i think im gonna get AT2020 cause its really cheap and good mic. was thinking about getting NT1 SS but its really much expensive in my country than AT2035 and AT2020. i can get a pop filter cheap as you said and a shockmount with a price of NT1
@@whotfisthisssss AT2020 was my first studio mic and I will record with it today. Now with a cheaper mic you gotta put it in a treated space to get the best sound
@@Dahomestudio aight thank you so much boss ! my room is not that well treated do you have any recommendations ? should i get a ALCTRON Pf8 im a beginneer and i appreciate whatever you recommend :)
I believe you’re thinking of a power conditioner….
Yep- just pronounce it incorrect, but I had already started editing the footage.
Dope video man. I been thinking about grabbing the Mpc one+. I been using mpc2 software for the last two years, with the mpk 249 and the mpk mini 3. I got logic and studio one too, but I became more proficient with the Mpc software lately. I’m gonna grab that Mpc and go the hybrid route and have the luxury of cooking up in standalone or switching to hybrid when I need too. I appreciate the video bruh.
Thanks!! It’s pretty much that same. I just like not being connected. Workflow is quick without all the clicking
Love the vid g 🔥🔥🔥
Nice...my Presonus Euerka justed died. Had it for 11 years. I have better preamps now, so no biggie. Nice studio, though.
Thanks!! That was my first mic pre before I knew anything. It have a good sound to it. But the wa73 is 🔥
Just watched in first 5 comments..Peace from Ireland bro! Trying to do something similar..would love to hear more about the warm audio preamp and difference it makes
Thanks!! I have a vocal chain that includes the WA 73- but if you thinking about buying it- get it. You will love it!!
Thank you bro 🙏🏼

Hey man I just now noticed the subscriber count for your channel and how low it is compared to the quality video I’m watching and it’s not making sense.. we gotta figure that out man you need some more media exposure or something
I appreciate that brother. I also shoot music videos so I’m real slick with camera. When I started this channel I took some months off which definitely slow the growth.
Great video bro. I just subscribed. Keep pushing that great content out. Much love!
Thanks for the sub bro!!

Thanks bro!!
Reason i bought a mpc one is because i can throw around ideas alot easier. In DAWs i usually get stuck in the myriad of options. I use DAW for arrangement, mastering.
Same here
I had a love hate with MPC. Got a new MPC ONE PLUS. So frustrated with it at first. Suddenly, a few great folks opened my eyes to all the features not so obvious to a new user. After that, I was super happy with it. I ended up giving it to my son who was struggling with some issues to help him out and enjoy it more than I would. Now, I miss it. We both reflect on how much better the MPC's are vs. DAW. It just keeps you focused and the overall experience feels approachable. DAWS are overly complete for most and we'll never use all the BS. MPC has more than enough to do just about everything you can in one box and one interface. I'd be buying an X se today, but out of stock. :( Almost tempted to grab the Key 61. I just love those OLEDs on the X! more knobs the better :)
💪🏼

Can you change any keyboard shortcuts in LUNA? I am searching high and low on the internet and not getting any answers I even emailed the company lol
I don’t believe so- it has pro tools keyboard shortcuts so I never thought about it
@@Dahomestudio oh wow pretty much identical ? What are the main benefits to switch to this from studio one ? Does it have better sound?
Depending on what you do. Producing? I will not switch from studio one. Mixing? Yes!!. I don’t believe that DAWs give a sound, but they all have different tools to get the job done. LUNA is is awesome and free
I love this video. Thank you! I'm very new to this. I just purchased the MPC One + 2 weeks ago and haven't opened it until I've done enough research. I have a lot to learn and am pretty overwhelmed, lol. What cables are those that you showed at around the 4:48 mark?
That is an TRS to iPhone cable. So you can sample off the phone.

@@Mr-eu6nd no problem- when you lock in I wanna hear some beats bro!!
@@Mr-eu6nd I’d just jump in if you’re actually going to keep the MPC. Build the skill set and muscle memory by doing, not reading and watching. No harm in collecting information but it’s useless if you don’t start applying what you saw or heard.
Yo, I’m glad you made that video
💯
Music is what I do and I'll never spend that money for an MPC.... That is unless I get really rich. Then I'm buying all of them. Why ? cuz I can and fugg that

MPC can never outpace a DAW on a good rig. You're limited on the CPU side; how are you going to compare a $900 CPU in a Macbook vs a $200 CPU in an MPC. How many channels can you mix with the MPC cause again you are limited with RAM on that MPC. The sample quality and size are limited by the lack of storage space on that MPC as well. Need a plugin or two? Not with that MPC; not going to happen.
Yeeeessssuh!! 🔥🔥 mixed fiiiie!! Imma fuk wit’cha..
💯 appreciate bro!! Let’s work!!
Logic been doing this for 10 years

Anyone else use MPC as a VST, inside a DAW? FL 21 got too much going on to ignore it completely
