Hey Justin or viewers of this channel, I was wondering if anybody has information if this kit would work with a yamaha dtx pro module? I bought this for my kid and I'm pondering over upgrade paths for this. I live in South East Asia so options are a bit limited.

What a bummer kit coming from such a legendary brand. But much like DWe, it’s a freshmen kit and they’re new to this (as a brand), although I’m sure the staff is stacked. 16:58 the Tom’s sound like absolute trash and both them and the snare machine gun so badly. Sucks, I was excited for them.

Hey brother. I am a wheelchair user that wants to invest in an electronic drum kit but as you know the kick drum may be an issue given limited use in my feet. Do you have any advice on how i could go about switching the kick drum to something i can play with my hands?

What about DrumTec? Do you think the DrumTec Pro 3 is a worthy kit to compare against Roland VAD706?

I purchased a Zildjian Alchem-E Gold EX kit. I have been searching two years for a flagship electronic kit to replace my seven year old Roland TD-30KV V Pro kit. I played several top of the line electronic kits the past two years. Many of the kits drum sounds were OK, but all of the cymbals felt fake like my Roland kit. I played the Zildjian Alchem-E Bronze EX kit at the Edrumcenter booth and a Zildjian Alchem-E Gold EX at another booth during the Music City Drum Show the weekend of July 21st and 22nd. I paid $4899.00 plus $463.25 sales tax. Total $5363.24. I traded in my Roland kit, an old Hi-hat stand and bass drum pedal. I received a traded in value of $2505.00. Total out of pocket $2858.24. I setup the kit and updated the firmware to the latest version. I setup the module and assigned Yamaha Recording Custom sounds to the toms and kick drum. A Ludwig Black Beauty for a Snare drum. Cymbals as Zildjian K Sweet and ride as a Zildjian Concept Sizzle Ride. No triggering issues. My friends and family say that the kit sounds amazing. The sound of the drums are fantastic. The cymbals sound, articulation, and feel are just like real cymbals, because they are real cymbals. I love this kit.

Hi , I recently found an electronic kit out the front of a house that was throwing them away so I took them, it has cymbals with leads to plug in plus there is a snare drum pad about 12' . My question was can the triggers in them be taken out and customised to work with the EAD10 ? Let's say I took the triggers out of the cymbals say , is that even possible ? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. How about the snare pad , that should have trigger inside of it. I want to see if I can put them on my kit via EAD10 ? ✌ Rock On

I'm interested in a set that is easy to set up and use for small venues. What tabletop set would you recommend that you can use better foot pedals with bass and hi-hat kicks?

You'd think Zildjian would tweak those better considering this is not their first time doing e-drums. It's strange Zildjian decided to reinvent the square wheel with those cymbals when their Gen3 line already worked fine and they could just improve on that design instead. Also, touring with that set must be real jazzy when you invariably lose those proprietary TRS to RJ45 cables. With regular TRS cables, you can just go to the store closest to you and get by. Where are you gonna find replacements for the Zildjian cables?

What part/tool do I need to combine two foot-blaster kick trigger inputs to one Bass drum input of a td-17 module. (i.e to trigger the Same sound with two triggers)

Zildjian should have had you on their testing panel and saved themselves a lot of grief from releasing a BETA product. I have a horrible, horrible feeling they are using their brand name to sell trust in a product which simply isn't quite ready for production.

Its crazy how big companies are able to produce such terrible products. It seems to happen quite a lot. Remember redbox? Gen16 ? Emerge? The sound is awful, seems to no sample layers, no round robins 7000 is insane and pretty insulting

the cymbals are like the l80's but less than the gen16. to shame they stop manufacturing it

Here’s one thing I learned about the choke Alesis cymbals on a Roland Module, I have been able to assign 2 diff instruments to the choke cymbals ( you just can’t choke anything but the one you place on the back, the second will trigger right where the choke sensor is)

Here’s one major thing to remember about EDrums #1 Roland is by far the best, However almost ALL of the Roland Modukes will work with damn near all the various companies pads and cymbals save for Yamaha… I for instance started with a Alused Alesis Nitro Mesh kit, upgraded the module to a used Roland to-07 and am working on replacing the cymbals and have replaced the Hihat with a Roland VH-11 and the Ride with a Roland CR-12 and the snare of with a Roland 6” dual zone Tom pad I forget which one… now I just run the midi out into my Mac Mini M2 and use Modo Drums

The cymbals in this kit are so baffling to me. They are literally the main feature of the kit, and yet Zildjan cheaped out on the sensors by not including an edge sensor. Zildjan has no presence in the E drum space, and yet they would rather come in with VERY expensive whole kit offerings and make the cymbals incompatible with every other kit by using Ethernet style ports. Why would they not make the cymbals compatible with other modules and also sell cymbal packs? Why would they think they could upcharge so much for these kit configurations? They don't command even remotely the same brand loyalty in this space as Roland, and they lack feature parity, yet they would ask for a $7000 buy in to a closed off ecosystem with no guarantee of future updates. You couldn't even use other electronic cymbals if you wanted to with this module. This is a premium product marketed towards people who largely already have most/all of what it offers. Most people who would want Zildjan E cymbals already have an electronic kit, and people who might consider this kit have better options for cheaper.

I'm good with my dtxpro a2e with L80's and an overhead mic both going into a mixer.

I usually don't say anything at all if I don't have something nice to say. I'll stop there.

I still love my Pearl mimic on my Roland td 30 set over any kit .

Mine sounds beautifully, i specially like the metal cymbals. The massive kick drum is nice too. Everythinks works as it should for a expensive kit like this, i enjoy playing it specially in the morning...the only drawback is that after some minutes of playing i wake up and i realize it was just a dream. I later keep playing my TD17 with SD3 and i feel happy again...

I think Zildjian should really work on improving electronic drum cymbals in the market instead of wasting time by making an E-Drum Kit, there main specialised area is cymbals, so it doesn’t make any sense to build an E-Drum Kit from scratch, Roland, Yamaha, Efnote, 2Box, Alesis are way ahead in terms of triggering, and damn that price tag is utterly bizarre 😂
