    The only AWESOME thing about this drum set is that it hopefully pushs other companies to make touch screens !!!!
    (like Justin said, I'm sure there's people who would like this light up set...lol...honestly, If I was a kid, I'd love it... But)
    We want easier touch screens that are easy to navigate, so we're not spending all day figuring out, AGAIN, how to get good drum tones just right.
    If I don't keep up on the insides of my Roland modules, I forget how to do things after a few months.
    Grrrr...lol
    This holds true with guitar or bass pedals and keyboards too !!!
    I can't wait until everything is easier touch screens !!!!
    Thanks for another video Justin !!!!!
    Ps.
    Of course my audience is hopefully anyone from the industry who cares and takes notes of users wants and needs.
    👍😀👍

  • @kaiiraofficial

    I still want to develop my own cymbals because I find them very bad even in this price range. I currently have a DIY LED-low volume cymbal prototype laying around and it feels exactly like a real crash/ride/Hihat and the LED's are controlled through LedFX. The overal materials I've created it with is less than 250 euro's. This is what bothers me every time I see a new E-Drumkit coming out. It's just so expensive yet I barely see any innovation happening over the past years.
    The project is currently paused because the time working on it prevents me from creating music to use it in the first place, but I am planning on developing it further in about 5 years if no other brand is getting close to the product I so desire.
    Hopefully 65 Drums sees this, I've got some shorts of the process on my channel to showcase the idea's I have.
    I wish you all a wonderful day! 🤗🤗

      Don't forget to get a patent for your invention. Then show it to Yamaha or Roland

    • @kaiiraofficial
      @kaiiraofficial Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@nerychristian I'm not really good in sales pitching and at being a entrepreneur though.
      I created this for my own personal use to "Hide behind the drumkit while playing solo live". If I had to sell it to others I would probably get a burnout 😅
      so basically if someone steals it, I think the person getting away with it will acually do me a favor!
      If I ask patent, I will literally bleed money (more each year) that of which I cannot afford at this moment.
      So again, if no one made it in 5 years I will attempt to create a new one when I'm (hopefully) out of my school debt 💀.

    • @laptoples
      @laptoples Před 5 měsíci +3

      Dude, I'd love to check out what you're doing !!!
      My grandfather was an inventor, and he was quite the amazing person !!!!!
      But yeah, I'd at least document your work, because someone will snake your work in a heartbeat and watch you crawl on your belly from their yacht as they live off your idea.
      Just sayin...

    • @nerychristian
      @nerychristian Před 5 měsíci +2

      @@kaiiraofficial I don't think it costs much to get a patent. You don't even have to market it or sale it. Just sit on it, and if anyone makes something like it, you can sue them for using your patent.

    • @djashjones

      Metal cymbals on a edrum kit will never fully feel like the real thing. It's marketing BS.

  • @aelius93
    @aelius93 Před 2 měsíci

    Have u mentioned what you think the best Edrum kit is?
    I would say SOUND is most important, assuming only drums with a certain standard of quality make the list.
    Like they all have the right sensitivity and threshold and all that
    So they work
    Mesh.
    I don't know if dual toms are important. Perhaps if ur using ezdrummer3 or something you could assign say a different hit .. there's different samples of drums. So you could do that for a more nuanced performance but I'm not sure if it's that necessary
    It might be cool to put a clap on or something idk.
    I like organic sounding drums so ...

    • @65Drums
      @65Drums  Před 2 měsíci

      At this level it's personal preference. The strata is sounds from BFD (plus new sounds) and the Mimic is sounds from Steven Slate Drums 5. I like the Strata sounds a tad more, because of the way they are mixed. But the mimic is really really good.

    1400 how You Buy? What can be your Best option Alesis?

  • @aelius93
    @aelius93 Před 3 měsíci

    I love what u said about alesis. My first drum machine was alesis so I have 800 songs with alesis drums.
    I bought a Roland but I accidentally bought the wrong one so I desperately needed an upgrade. I got a td02kv instead of a 27 or something.
    Anyway so I bought an alesis command. I was MORTIFIED.
    NOT ONE SINGLE KIT I COULD USE.
    NOT ONE.
    THE SOUNDS ARE SO BAD I JUST... I STILL CANT BELIEVE IT.
    So I use ezdrummer3.
    The stataprime seems to be a HUGE improvement with sound but none of the videos really shows us all the sounds.
    3500 is a lot to spend and I just bought 2 kits.
    I shoulda gone Yamaha.
    I'm very particular with my sounds and they aren't what others seem to like.
    But with superior drummer 4 coming, I think I'm prolly better off just sticking with that and what I've got.

    Imagine if a manufacturer actually came to you and asked "we are making a drum set, what should we include?"
    That would be such a fun conversation and even with a given budget I don't think it would look anything like what is out there.
    Starting at the module I don't want or need built in lessons or songs or effects, just give me a reverb knob I can assign to the headphone out for monitoring and output all the pads on separate channels over USB. EQ and compression and everything else can happen in the DAW if the internal sounds are used. And on the configuration of these kits most players given the choice play a kit with more drums than cymbals. I think for a 5 piece kit 2 crashes, a splash, a hi hat and a ride are the minimum. And for learning the ergonomics of a drum set no brand should make a hi hat or snare smaller than 13", that should be the minimum on any kit and shouldn't cost that much extra plastic.
