Michael Johnson Pre-1996 Olympics
This is a collection of races that Michael Johnson competed in during the 1996 outdoor season. The first two races are the US Olympic Trial finals for the 200m and 400m. Johnson narrowly missing the world record in the quarter and breaks Mennea's world record in the 200m that stood for 17 years. The next races were great foreshadowing for the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in Atlanta. In these races, Johnson, Ato Boldon, Roger Black, and the forever young Frankie Fredericks put down some incredible times. Helping to serve as some motivation I am sure, Fredericks actually bested the new record holder in the 200m in a photofinish! Hopefully you enjoy the historic footage!

www.tandfunlimited.com/1984.html This is just a great moment in track and field history with Bert Cameron running through pain to finish the semi-final race. He nearly stopped running at around the 130m mark only to re-accelerate and finish in the all important 4th place to qualify for the finals. Unfortunately he was unable to compete in the final, but this race remains extremely impressive. C...

www.tandfunlimited.com/2007.html The men's final from Osaka, Japan. Tyson Gay overhauls the competition in the last 50m separating from Asafa Powell and Derrick Atkins as he nearly eclipses his PR with a 9.85 win. 2007 was a great year for USA as Gay completed the double with his 200m victory and Bernard Lagat pulled off his own double with 1500m, and 5,000m golds. Enjoy the race!

(www.tandfunlimited.com/1996.html) One of the great women's relay races. The USA was able to move to the lead on the penultimate leg by Kim Graham and Jearl Miles was able to hold the lead on the anchor leg. Miles was tested to the end by Falilat Ogunkoya who ran a great anchor for Nigeria, with a tremendous closing sprint also from Grit Breuer of Germany who almost came clear of the field in t...

Ben Johnson vs Carl Lewis at the Seoul Olympics. Great start by Johnson as he completely destroys the field for the first 80m enroute to a new world record. The gold and record were later stripped as he controversially tested positive for steroids. Both Johnson and his coach Charlie Francis denied his use of the steroids in question. Francis went on to chronicle Johnson's steroid use and cycles...

Men's 400m Final from the 1993 IAAF Athletics World Championship. Michael Johnson wins the race over world record holder Butch Reynolds and Olympic champion Quincy Watts (4th). The race featured 3 Americans and 3 Kenyans in the final and was made memorable by Quincy Watts' shoe falling apart on the final turn into the homestretch. At that point, he was struggling to maintain contact with Reynol...

This is compilation of Tim Kroeker's races from the 1993 and 1995 world champs. Tim's wife asked if I had any footage of Tim and these at the meets that I did have of him. I hope you enjoy and maybe it will make for a nice surprise!
World's Farthest Noodle Throw! Watch Jan Zelezny Throwing an Actual Noodle Over 275 Feet (85m+)!

No special effects here, just simply an unbelievably talented man who was starting to grow tired of beating people with a real javelin and decided to try throwing other implements farther. He wanted a slightly more difficult challenge and decided upon a wet noodle as the most obvious choice. The other competitors were rejoicing as they assumed that they would have no problems beating the world ...

On the women's side Gwen Torrence led off the American team with a sub 50 second clocking. Up next was Maicel Malone-Wallace and her sub 50 second split. She handed off to silver m...
World's Highest Pole Vault! Sergey Bubka wins gold at the 1993 World Champs.

Men's pole vault competition from the 1993 Athletics World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. 3 men clear 5.90m with Sergey Bubka winning the competition with a 6.00m clearance on his first attempt. His jump at 5.90 was quite possibly the highest jump in the history of the pole vault. Bubka's hip height was amazingly clear, and it would have simply become a question of depth and bar placement...
28 years ago! Amazing.
They are all on something. It’s ridiculous the evolution of some of these guys. They are nowhere this year and then the next they are so unbeatable, RIDICULOUS.
What no one has ever been able to explain is how Bolt then runs 9.69 the following year??? Especially not even featuring in this 100m???
10 meter mehr und die deutschen hätten gewonnen
This is crazy...what a race...
Grit Breuer was the best👍👏❤️
Where's all the hair extensions and 32-inch fingernails?
Ogunkoya 🎉🎉🎉
2024 and still the most exciting 4x400m race and with great commentary.
Incredible this is the first time I saw that race
Пятое место то же хорошо....не шестые же.....
Congratulations to Asafa Powell on winning the bronze medal
This was a spectacular race . Definitely showed the best of the best
До сих пор, за них рабы бегают.
The commentator called the winner with about five meters to go. Had he never watched the men's 800 from the 1972 Games?
2:48 so what 6.40?
USA, USA, USA 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Graham saved that race no doubt !
8:25 - "A great world record as been smashed by a minute and a half..." WOW! That's impressive! 😂
Grit Breuer one year later.^^ czcams.com/video/tQqYg-s0EkE/video.html
Why they don't show the list after the race
Quincy Watts was for real!
Bolt and Adkins are first cousin's
Bla bla bla bla bla bla American propaganda
What an exciting race! Grit Breuer super impressive on the last leg..she’s a total beast!!
Five more meters and Breuer had that won!!!
Wow...what a race. I forgot how close this was. Really amazing how the U.S. hung on here.
Una de las mejores carreras que he visto en el atletismo mundial y olímpico
He got BRONZE!!! That is not choking!
Woooooow what a race. Crazy crazy shouts out to the entire field!!!!
As a Nigerian, this race hurt as hell. That 3rd leg was everything. If she was just a little faster, we would have won gold.
One of the best 4x400 ever 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 outstanding performance
immer wieder top zu sehen
POV: you’re from 2023 and Mondo Duplantis has broken the WR 6 times and cleared a height of 6.22 meters.
Nigeria my country! We will make it one day ❤
I watched this race as a child in 1996. We're all screaming in our house from my father, mother and siblings. We felt proud being Nigerians. I never forgot the name falilat ogunkoya. We're a great people
Kim Graham is is the hero in this race!
In 2023 i still thinking that race was the most epic relay! Special mention to: Ogunkoya Kim graham Grit breuer And jearl miles
Great era of track & field! On the men's side, the greatest lead-off runner in US Olympic/World history, former Olympic champ, and two former world record holders! With all of the great women's teams in the past, I think the WR is ripe for the picking.
😂😂😂😂😂did you see the gap
2:47 that`s probably 6.30 metres. The greatest (with Duplantis)
Laaawd
kim has always been underated
Wow what a race ! Those women are tough as nails .
Damn ladies ! That was a race for the ages . Great commentary as well .
The anchor for Germany…. She was she was rolling
GOAT
What a position to be in. Anchor of a relay at an Olympic Games! Jearl Miles dug deep...
Can anybody find the BBC's coverage of the '88 (Seoul) 4x4 women's final? It's the world and American record race, but I can only find NBC's commentary.
Kim Graham!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
10+ years later a 6.22 jump has been achieved
