What Is The 2024 BMW M2 G87 Like To Drive On A Mountain Road?
The M2 is the smallest dedicated M model from BMW, but it's also arguably the most fun. With its short wheelbase and fire-breathing twin-turbocharged S58 under the hood, it is an absolute blast around a twisty road. I would even go so far as to say it's the epitome of the M brand going into the mid-2020s.

What Is The 2024 BMW 750e Like To Drive?
zhlédnutí 3,1KPřed měsícem
Having already driven the fully electric BMW i7, I was curious what the electrified six-cylinder version of the car is like and I think I prefer it to the EV. The driving experience is very similar, but the addition of BMW's smooth and sonorous B58 engine makes the driving experience better and alleviates range anxiety. You can still get over 50 km of fully electric driving out of the 750e, whi...
Microlino review - The Isetta-inspired electric microcar that's flawed but fun
zhlédnutí 15KPřed měsícem
I don't think I've ever driven a vehicle that turns quite as many heads as the modern (and fully electric) reinterpretation of the classic Isetta bubble car. The Microlino is a microcar created by a scooter company and while it's clearly the product of a company that has never made a car before and it has a few flaws, there's also a lot to like about it. In fact, even with its obvious flaws, th...

The Mazda MX-30 is a pleasant EV, but because of its small battery and limited practicality, it's never been a big sales hit. Now Mazda has launched a range extender version with a smaller battery and a rotary engine under the hood to alleviate the pure-electric variant's range anxiety. It's on sale in Europe right now and while it's a lot better than the BEV version, has it got what it takes t...

Honda rarely launches a completely new model, but that's exactly what the ZR-V is and it's really good. If you've been following the channel, you know I'm not the biggest fan of crossovers, and I criticize them for their lackluster driving dynamics, pointless height, and the extra weight that they have to carry around compared to their hatchback counterparts. However, in the case of the ZR-V, n...

Honda is renowned for its engineering excellence, but this isn't really reflected in its latest EV, the e:NY1. It features the brand's bespoke EV platform, which will be used to underpin some 30 EVs, but it looks like an HR-V. It also doesn't drive especially well, and its chassis has trouble putting its power down. It's also one of the slowest-charging EVs on the market, with a maximum DC fast...

Ah, the BMW XM, the first dedicated Motorsport model since the M1. I've driven it and it's by no means bad for what it is, but it's neither the bespoke M model that we wanted nor the one that we deserved. It's really more of an M Performance X8 with an unusual name to make it seem like a special model and an X5M is quicker and offers a better driving experience. And it's ridiculously expensive....

The G60 5 Series is about the same size as a short-wheelbase 7 Series from a decade ago and you certainly notice it has grown up. It is about 10 centimeters longer than the G30 it replaces, it has more room for passengers, but it also has a smaller trunk, and it's not quite as agile around the bends. I wish Honda brought this to the US. Instead, they decided to give us (1) a regular hybrid variant, and (2) a hydrogen fuel-cell variant. The second variant makes absolutely no sense since we don’t prioritize hydrogen as a primary fuel source. At the same time, nerfing the PHEV CRV to only be FWD is such a missed opportunity, when we get AWD with Mitsubishi’s Outlander PHEV, Toyota’s RAV4 Prime, Jeep’s Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Kia’s Sportage PHEV. Speaking as a Honda Clarity PHEV owner btw.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire Před 5 dny

      The hydrogen variant is being sold just because Honda can and has the technology-they wanted a follow-up for the Clarity FCV, I guess. I think you're better off with the all-wheel drive hybrid TBH. I wouldn't pick the FWD-only PHEV over it even with the electric-only range that it offers. The hybrid is a better, easier car to use and it's still remarkably efficient. What is the Clarity PHEV like? I've never known anybody who drives one. Thank you for your comment!

      Valid point you make there, Chris. Being a quadricycle, this vehicle is closer to a four-wheeled bicycle than a car, so it doesn't have to follow the same safety guidelines as cars. Micro says it's engineered to be stiffer and safer than the rules dictate, but it still doesn't compare to a car. Your scenario would mean you can't get out of the single front door, but you can pull yourself out through the (standard) sunroof or one of the side windows (although the latter might be a bit of a squeeze). The only way this would ever be brought to America would be for it to be completely re-engineered with airbags and more thought put into safety or just as a neighborhood electric vehicle with a top speed of 25 mph.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire Před 15 dny

      Yeah, it should be reasonably popular even if based on its design and nostalgia alone. Access into the driver’s seat is not the easiest given that the steering wheel doesn’t lift out of the way with the front door, so you first have to get into the passenger’s seat then shuffle to the side, but other than this it should be fine for older folks. Cheers, thanks for watching! Yeah, gaudy is the best way to describe the exterior and the dictator reference is spot on :D However, it's an amazing car, which in my opinion is better than the current S-Class, and that's not something you can usually say about a 7 Series.

    Hi guys which is the best exhaust setup for the bmw e92 m3 ac schnitzer exhaust or akrapovic exhaust ?

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire Před měsícem

      I'd stick to stock and get a carbon fiber intake plenum like the car in the video. The factory exhaust is already fairly loud, but if you make the induction noise louder, you will get more (and better) sound in the cabin.

    Bad research: The BMW Isetta was not an original creation by BMW, but a licensed reproduction of the model originally designed and produced by the Italian company Iso. The original Isetta model with its characteristic front-opening design was created in 1953 by Iso, a company that manufactured motorcycles and small cars based in Milan, Italy

      Did you even watch the video? I clearly state that it’s actually an Italian design.

    I've just seen one for the first time, on the road here in South East London (May 2024) and it didn't look out of place either, (I just clocked "Microlino" across its front and Googled it as soon as I got home), I live in London and own a Mini Cooper Electric, so fully appreciate the advantages of small so called "city ??? EVs", obviously, this vehicle is aimed at a "niche potential customer base", that would be, affluent, city home owners, with ONE child who have a garage or driveway, that gave up their MAHOOSIVE ICE 4 x4, for an electric one, just to be "Eco trendy????, that find it embarrassing to have, a small ICE car as a second vehicle, as ALL of their "Eco trendy??" neighboughs have got Teslas and NO second car, so they won't mind paying £15,000 for a Microlino, to use as a second car, as sticking THAT and a £85,000 4 x4 EV on their driveway, is basically an "UP YOURS GESTURE", to their neighboughs, who only have ONE vehicle on their driveway, that is a "cheap and nasty ????, Tesla", so "the Microlino will probably sell like hot cakes, in trendy affluent parts of London and other European cities too" LOL.

      Yeah, it’s not priced to become a huge hit, but there are enough wealthy people who will fall in love with it and buy it as a third car to pop to the shops in. This is especially true of London, but also other major cities too. It’s apparently a hit in Swiss cities.

    I've loved the Firebird Trans Am line since I was a little kid. The model Firebird you were driving was sort of a dream of mine, as it was around the time I started driving. In 2000, I finally got a Firebird and still have it today. It's a 1998 3.8 V6, and I've managed to not drive it much, keeping it in the garage in the winters. I absolutely love it. And I loved your video as well!

    A car I’m very interested in but not available in the US, damn it. One point, I think you’re wrong about the reduction in torque in this and other electric cars. My guess is people got tired of tires wearing out far faster than an ICE car. Short of a “burn out” there isn’t much harder on a tire than using max torque at low speeds, so easy to do in the EVs I’ve driven (Tesla S and 3, Audi E-Tron). JMHO

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire Před měsícem

      From what I know, Mazda wanted to bring this to the States but then decided against it for some reason. I guess you're right about the torque reduction, I was just speaking for myself-I liked the burnoutey nature of older EVs :D

      @@OneTireFire Two different modes, the fun side and the real life part. For me I can say running that “S” I got to drive at full throttle was huge fun, but my buddy owned the car so I didn’t want to turn the tires into smoke. Anyway, nice to see your channel reviewing this car. FWIW, thanks for using your excellent English, my Spanish is weak and any other language is a total mystery so I wouldn’t be able to watch your vids w/o that extra effort.
