Baryshnikov is the grace and essence of dance. Technique and soul. Light as a feather. Polunin has a lot of technique. He's good, but he doesn't have Baryshnikov's level.

I am endlessly grateful for your work on these videos, Pam, so that we will always have a way to look back on this perfection, which I fear will never be the same again. For me, at least, the thrill is partially gone from his later work. I appreciate the need to follow one’s muse; however, I am still sad when I don’t have the same emotional reaction his earlier work evoked. 🙁

Los dos son muy buenos pero Polulin tiene mas rigidez en los movimientos. Barishnikov es más suave, más dúctil.

Barishnikov Tiene una armonia espectacular entre su cuerpo y sus movimientos.

It waas almost cuel to put them side by side, Polunin pales in comparison.

Aside from the quality of the dancing (where Mikhail is simply incomparable) Baryshnikov also interprets the character - I don't get that from Polunin.

This so called dance common perform in circus, contains non of ballet skill except Zakharova worn ballet shoes.

Техника конечно на высочайшем уровне, но вот души маловато. Лично для меня идеал это Надежда Павлова, вот где и техника и Душа. А Гиллем мне больше напоминает Гимнастку на Произвольной программе.

Polunin unfortunately tosses his nose up and his face away from the audience too much. If you look closely at Mikhail he never does that.
