- Margaret Hookham was born on May 18, 1919 in Surrey, England. She would become an extraordinary and beloved classical ballerina. Her career would span from 1934 to 1979. As a dancer for England's Royal Ballet, she would put British ballet on the map and be named "Prima Ballerina Assoluta." She would become Margot Fonteyn.
