TRENCHTOWN Blinded. 24 track studio Restored audio, band archives.
On 20/09/2020 1990s Drogheda Ska, Punk, Reggae band Trenchtown's co-founding member, singer songwriter and guitarist David "Leso" Leslie suddenly passed away at the all too young age of just 52.
I have gone through my archives of photos and recordings and performed a lot of much needed photo image and audio first aid and the result is a Photo slide show and restored audio from 24 track studio recording of the Trenchtown song Blinded. Most of the photos will only have been viewed by band members before now.
The original recordings were recorded at Slane Studios and were for inclusion on the debut LP that the band halted. The poorly engineered and produced recordings from Slane Studios were not a good representation of how the band should've sounded. with the addition of guitar, backing vocals and percussion overdubs the version here is a better representation of how the band shouldve sounded.
I hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave a comment as it creates an interesting dialogue.

Millions of souls taken just like that. The Nazi ideaology was vicious and cruel. They didn't have a care in the world and truly believed what they were doing was right. I have been to the camp of Auschwitz/Berkenau and you truly are overwhelmed by the feeling of death around you. I have seen thousandsof women and childrens hair that was used for textiles etc. I have seen many thousands of belongings of victims. I saw the wall where prisoners were shot if they tried to escape and I walked thru the gas chamber. I shuddered at the the thought of people's last moments before they were so cruely and viciously murdered. They were snuffed out just for being Jewish. Some people will consider visiting Auschwitz as being morbid but I strongly recommend going as it truly is a reminder of how humanity can sometimes be so cruel and vile. It only takes one disgusting human being that can influence many others in inflicting such horror on others. May God keep those innocent victims in safe keeping. My heart goes out to all those who perished.

I have been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, they also have a collection of shoes and the smell is haunting. It’s not like sweaty feet or mildew. It’s like the smell of pure fear, desperation and despair. It is one of the few olfactory scents that are left, and it is truly heartbreaking to think of how many souls were utterly destroyed and lost.
How was the museum? I always wanted to go.😊
@@NUHUHAHHAHA Haunting, if you take the time and use your senses, it can make you feel the level of hopelessness that everyone else felt. It’s really busy when you first get in, but if you hang back and take the time to read things and just be present in the history, it became one of the most spiritual experiences I’ve ever had.

I recommend that if you can’t get to the one in DC there are many other museums that offer similar experiences so at least fulfill going to one. I hope you one day get to experience the museum in person, it was one of the best museums I’ve been to. The photos, hair, tattoos and shoes are almost unbelievable

When you close your eyes and feel this it makes even more terrifying and real b/c I can hear children and women and men and german dogs barking and images of Auschwitz and how horrible it was in 1939-1945. So many people died in this camp and its unholy place filled with death fear and wonder and how normal people could become mass killers is beyond me. Everyone knew about Block 11 and they were afraid of what went on in there and you can feel the trains coming in everyday and every night and people being told where to go and what to do. So many people were taken to the gas chambers and even Anne Frank and her family were taken to Auschwitz and then Margot and Anne were taken to Berglen Belsen . Scary images and you can hear the dogs barking and demonic sounds.. RIP to the victims of 60 million people who died here and everywhere else in Poland. Its just haunting and now its a museum but this camp was a death camp.. People behaved like animals just to survive and work. It was the gateway to hell. Those who survived the holocaust were in the process of looking for t heir families and they wouldn't fiind them b/c everyone the whole European jury was all over the place and in different sections of the camps. Auscchwitz was one of these death camps. There were many more to come... GOD HELP US ALL AND THE GENERATIONS TO AFTER 1945.

This is not funny at all - near the end of the war they decided to save on Zyklon B and used less and less of it and it prolonged the agony of the victims immensely, making them rather suffocate over hours than die of the gas in minutes.
