Is there enough room for the the guy to splash in the middle of the ramp and back around the docked boat? Again, we don't know. Absent more info, the guy on the dock has rights. I’m always curious what the polite procedure is at these boat ramps. The places I boat have courtesy docks and the rule is first trailer down has right of way to the ramp. What happens at ramps like this, without courtesy docks, when you’re trying to back down to launch and someone coming out pulls up to the dock? Or when someone is already at the dock to pull out but you think they are launching?

I don't own a boat however... should I ever this short video gave me a free lesson on docking, and it doesn't look that easy.

I have a 3/4 ton 2WD truck but I put an air locker in the differential so I don't have traction problems at the ramp. I would have gotten a 4WD truck but I got a smoking deal on my truck.
