I have no idea why they are banning people out of nowhere but I hope some bigger content creator with more influence covers this issue so they can't just blow over it and act like nothing happened.

Fully agree on this. The video is only made to talk about opportunity cost which a lot of people might not have considered. It is by no means made to convince people to only farm one thing

They banned me permanently and I can't reach out to any staff or mods from the discord. There is also a chance that anyone that reached out trying to reason with them gets banned so I don't want to risk my friends asking either. Also, the alternative solution is to join back in with my alt account and that is bannable as well... So how do I resolve anything?

@@LTZGam3s by the time I got into lvl 50 every upgrade is a pain in shell currency. I thought 6 M is good enough to upgrade 9 units, how wrong I was 😅. The 6 M turns into a 100k in just a span of an hour. Now I'm wondering what will face me on level 60.

@@kennethcastillo9667 Definitely, shell credits will always be needed for every upgrade, whether it's echoes, weapons, characters or even cooking. We need like 3M shell Credits for 1 characters, by making a safe estimate. That's kinda crazy if you think about it

Well usually I don't really mind the communities since I don't use social media much (other than discord and youtube) but yeah I agree. The community is definitely toxic but I think a lot of people dislike because they think it's justifiable to perma ban people for trying to convey information readily available online. It is what it is though

First of all, I never "leaked" anything. Information on this is available and or speculatory based on previous characters released and resources we have in the game. There is no reason for them to perma ban my device if they don't perma ban every other content creator making videos about pre farming as well. Then in that case, no one prefarms for characters since it's "leaked knowledge"

@@kingkaneki110 You just raised the biggest issue of them all. Bigger content creators never get punished for anything. So is it reasonable that they can strike and ban people as long as they aren't influential? By that reasoning, then every normal player should foresee a ban the moment you start farming for items that might be useful for future characters because why are you holding onto 30 rage tacet cores when your characters are already maxed? The biggest gripe I have with them banning me wasn't just the reason for the ban, but the lack of a system of warnings and appeals which makes it seem like they don't want to acknowledge they ever make a mistake since it's a one and done deal.

Well the game company thinks that the players should be time gated and farm after characters are out because people may use crystal solvents or asterites = more revenue

@@LTZGam3s so if they cared about money so much, why are they giving out so much pulls and maybe even a free limited 5 star next 1.2? they could always just go the hoyo route and make the weapon banners not 100% and the pity 90. what you are saying will just boost their revenue in the slightest, barely noticeable. clearly they have better ways to earn more money other than restricting people and making them look bad. My theory is that they just don't have a lot of experience with western gaming environments. In China there is no apps like discord and such, so they probably just hired some random dudes to manage the server rules or bots even. It would be stupid for banning for the most simplest things like this, since leaks of characters and materials are all over the Chinese media like bilibili and Chinese TikTok, and they could have easily taken down those videos, but they did not do so.

@@altra1616 First of all, I completely agree with you on some of the points you made, very reasonable arguments as well. Secondly, the promotional free pulls are given to EVERY player to promote their game. It’s a marketing strategy they needed to rival Genshin Impact so that people would compare and talk about Wuthering Waves. It by no means lower their revenue, if anything it adds to the sunk-cost fallacy and cause players to stay and eventually spend more in the long run. I can elaborate on this point if you would like to have a debate here. Thirdly, yes they might not have much experience dealing with Western Communities which led them to hiring discord mods from the player base. However this could also just be a way to save money and manpower on menial tasks like managing a discord server. Fourthly, it is true that materials are circulating around the community online and most people are already aware of them. Which is why I disagree that I should be perma banned for conveying and summarising publicly available information in a video and sharing it. Lastly, they would have no right to take down this video or my account for that matter because then that would make them look even worse not banning other posters and content creators. What would this mean? It means other content creators would talk about their poor management as well. Honestly speaking, I can understand how what I shared may be considered “leaks” but let’s be honest. Materials needed which are easily predictable and speculated VS literal leaks of characters’ skills from cbt and talking about character kits. I have always been against leaks and never wanted to talk about any of it on my channel. I even made that a point in other videos but prefarming content is literally a staple in every gacha game

Copyright strikes take 3 strikes to ban a channel and I would have nothing to lose even if that was the case. It's not about comparing which company is worse in managing their bans but the fact that they are so sensitive to the issue of "leaks" that even "prefarming content" is intolerable

​@LTZGam3s they are more than probably being careful around anything considered "leaks". If the mods were taking notes, then they themselves would also be aware that hoyo once had this problem with leakers that it got out of hand. We can take this on any matter of sides in all actuality.

I understand that there is a problem with "leaking information" although I didn't know that materials could be considered leaks when a character has been released and teased. I can acknowledged that I infringed the Terms of Service if that is the case, however that goes for any other content creator showing prefarming materials doesn't it? Then shouldn't every account be banned for speculation or pre-farming content to help others prepare for characters?

@@LTZGam3s I say one thing though: This should have had a warning attached. They should have just deleted your post and then give you a one time warning. Outright banning with barely an option to appeal, is maybe a lil bit harsh, especially if it's "just" materials. On the other hand, the rules are clearly listed.

Because they perma ban and I can never join the server again, let alone reach out to anyone from the server

My own incompetence does not lead to them not having a system of warnings, appeals or explanations. Leaking information and speculation are completely different concepts. If they aren't able to accept people giving any sort of information before a character's release, then they should provide information so others can prefarm as it is a gacha game

That is the issue I have with this, no appeal system or warnings in place and once you are banned you are gone forever. It's like they don't want to be proven wrong or have a chance to make a mistake

It is not so much as information unreleased. I rationalised it by saying that the only material "leaked" might be pavo plum whereas every other material is "prefarm" which occurs in EVERY gacha game in every community. It is not a "leak" and I never meant it to be one.

By posting it, you are participating in leaked content. It's not about the materials themselves. It's the fact that the information of *what* materials and *how many* materials is unreleased information. You need to understand, that anything about a characters kit in game, upgrade costs, skills, descriptions, literally any of it that is not released by the devs, is a leak. It may be common to prefarm in gachas, but that doesn't mean that the devs support it. Information surrounding Changli's upgrade materials is officially unconfirmed, unreleased information, that was not announced by Kuro. Changli herself may not be a "leak" but information pertaining to specifics about her upgrades or kit ARE LEAKS. Those specific details of her character are not released officially. That is not a debate. You posted leaked content in their Discord when its an explicit rule not to do so. It does not matter how easy this information is to find out since the upgrade costs are the same for the characters, it does not matter that other people have posted leaked content and not gotten banned, it does not change the policy. It doesn't matter if its common to talk about prefarm content in this game, or other games. It's still leaked content and you run the risk of punishment regardless in both Kuro and Hoyo games. It is extremely simple: You posted what Kuro considers leaked content IN THEIR DISCORD and got banned for it. That is your fault. It doesn't matter if its hypocritical, it doesn't matter if the information is common sense, it doesn't matter if prefarm content is common. Any time you are posting information of a character that is unreleased in any of these games, you run the risk of getting banned. It's true for Hoyo games, it's true now for Kuro. I also see you are telling people the pavo plum part is an "educated guess" right, I'm sure it is. Listen, I've partaken in a lot of leaked content, I have been directly involved with private server leaks for Hoyo games, this is just a risk you take posting this kind of content.

That is true, I was considering that the only “leak” is potentially the pavo plums but it could also just be a hit or miss guess, shouldn’t be considered a leak I don’t think. Gacha players have always pre-farmed materials with speculations and it has never been a problem
