As a trans person, I really cannot find the empathy for a profound bigot and predator. He targeted my community and has helped to make in particular CZcams but the internet in general a hostile place for people who just want to live their lives. Yeah it sucks he died so young but this is the bed he made. Wondering what might have been is kinda trivial when we are talking about someone who has done such damage. I personally see this as coming from a place where you were not the target of his bigotry, so you can try and find that nuance for a person who never gave that to anyone else. This just seems to fall in line with a general trend to whitewash the actions of people because in some way they might be redeemed. He did not care about mocking trans people in death and encouraging an environment of transphobic speech, so I do not care if people mock him til the ends of the Earth. Mental illness and isolation is not an excuse for predatory behavior, there is no bright spot.

In it, she shows the bare milkers in what apparently appears to be a bvkkake aftermath as she is completely covered face to bust in white gooey stuff. There should have been a tshirt printed with that image. I wonder if an AT&T legal rep would try to get you to remove it if you go by their store. There is a level of responsibility, but people make mistakes. Within reason, it is acceptable to have these stumbles happen. However, a big part of it, is how you try to fix this mistake. Sometimes all you need is moving forward, acknowledge the issue, and make sure to try and avoid it in the future. Sometimes you need to do a little more with removing old ones or completely refunding the sponsor. It depends on severity. But as long as you handle things with a bit of grace, people don't care if you did and oops. But some of it. Some of it is just impressive. Kyle Hill is the big one for me. He did a video, literally, i shit you not, on the importance of research integrity, with better help as the sponsor. And then when people told him about how better help was bad, he just doubled down. And was incredibly rude to people in a disproportionate manner. It really was something to behold. I haven't heard any updates in a while because i stopped watching him after that, but last i saw he was still doubling down. Frankly the fact the video was literally on research integrity just made it so hard to want to believe anything he was saying, and then to immediately double down? Just shameful.

Hey Duncan, I love your content but this is just a little thought experiment. Replace “Twomad” with “Hitler”. Because this is essentially what this video is. Like yeah, Hitler was bad, but what if he had lived and done good instead? No one really thinks like that. They think “Wow this guy sucked and now he’s dead”. What’s been done has been done, and that’s all we can judge him for. Not the hypothetical what-ifs.

Thankfully, the encampment at my school is still going strong. They tried to silence them and pro-Palestinian protesters got beat up by Pro-Israel people, but they’re still trying.

I just graduated from journalism school and went to my first event as a freelance journalist. It ended up being the first pro-Palestine university encampment to get broken up by police in Canada. The day started with taking photos of protesters singing and making signs. It ended with running from the police as pepper balls and flash bangs were used to disperse the crowd. As a journalist, it’s not my job to tell people what to think but instead give them the facts and let them make up their minds. Every person from the press was shaken that night, and I can’t imagine what that was like for the protesters, many of which are students my age. But on the other hand, it was the university who called the police on the encampment and they were only following orders. The whole thing feels messed up. It feels weird to continue moving about my life after that and pretend there isn’t so much happening in the world.

thank you for this video Kuncan! it feels good to know I'm not alone i've noticed a bit of controversy around you saying you're withholding your vote (at least, for president) this year. i commented this under another post which told people to vote for Biden this year, but figured i'd repost it in another comment, and if anyone has discussion or counterpoints to add feel free to comment below: Biden is also a fascist, just quieter about it and more amicable when facing the public. he was heavily involved with the creation of the 1994 "tough on crime" bill, which led to increased, mass incarcerations of Black and brown people in America. he and his administration fulfilled almost none of their campaign promises made back in 2020. covid is still raging. student debt has not been wiped. Biden hasnt used his power to actually halt aid to Isnotreal. he and his administration was soo outspoken about the overturn of Roe v Wade, and still hasnt used his power to protect reproductive rights. kids are still in cages, in fact, the number of people deported and incarcerated at the border has INCREASED. i understand that the Biden administration cant do everything, but they dont work nearly as hard to protect our rights as the openly fascist republicans do when they take away human rights protections. the reason fascist Trump exists, and has the power he has, is because our political system enables it, not because not enough people are voting blue. Hilary should have won the 2016 election for pres by popular vote, but didnt due to our electoral college, which was created to "protect" the poor from themselves because they were deemed unfit to govern themselves by rich white dudes. both parties protect the elite ruling class at the end of the day, the Dems just have a nicer face and say platitudes while they do it. under these circumstances, can people be blamed for withholding their vote for genocide Joe? if i vote for president, i'll be voting for socialist candidate Claudia De La Cruz. i'll also be voting on my local/state level. voting is important, and people should be more involved with their city/state politics to know who to put pressure on, but our two party system is a farce.
