I love the stain. I think having some of the wood show makes it rustic and charming. A dark green window frame would look great.

Just saw this video come up, it's raining hard here, has been all night. So it's time to grab my husband, a cup of tea and watch you paint your shed! And watch it dry, too if it comes to that. You've quickly become our most favorite youtube channel ever, hands down the best! So glad you recovered from your bee sting....I didn't look at the comments about that, (this may have been mentioned) but we keep the homeopathic apis mellifica on hand for stings and insect bites. My son used to carry a prescription kit for bee stings, now he carries the apis. Much cheaper and it's worked every time. That's my 2 cents for today, lol.

I painted my garden fencing black and it looks amazing because it shows up all the lovely differant shades of greens and all the colours of the flowers are high lighted

It is a stain and a sealer. I usually use a rag after to see the knots. I love that colour is stain. I may do my fence that colour.

Paint your Waggon pink. We had a man who came around on a bicycle sharpening knives. I think he had a contraption that attached to one of the wheels. This was in Wiltshire.Also had the scrap iron man too with the goldfish my son tells his son that when the ice cream van plays his tune it means he has run out of ice cream.

I like the color. My choice would have been a green with a light colored around windows. I love to paint. For me relaxing!😊

Just finished the 1st coat of paint in my guest bedroom this morning. In 3-4 hours will do the 2nd coat. Painted it 3 wks ago, but just didn't like the color... new color: "Sweet Tea" by Behr... a pale orange with brown undertones: very warm and relaxing. Sean, I painted my shed black last summer. I love it and get lots of compliments by people walking by. It compliments my red brick house with black trim windows so well! Yours is a stain. I enjoy listening to you as you work and learn different things as you share your choices/ideas with your viewers. I've watched Tyler and Todd for many years. Started when they were traveling in their 1st RV before settling on their families property in Canada a few years ago. They've done a lot of work.

The colour is helping it blend in already. We used Cuprinol Black Ash outside & Cuprinol White Daisy inside. I only wish I’d gone for black on the inside window frames become white jars on the eyes when looking out on the view. Have even painted the greenhouse frame black I liked it so much. It was white & stood out like a sore thumb, so painted it dark green & it looked so much better in a garden setting. But when we repainted 20 years on, we went for black so it all tied in & we could see where we’d been😂🤍💚🖤🩷

Hi Sean....as you asked..(!).I think that a green wood preservative on window frame( and door) would look good....and be more in keeping with woodland setting! Re " paint over top of presservative - I believe that you'd need to apply coat of sealant then a primer/ undercoat - before the actual paint....otherwise the dye etc from presservative would bleed through the paint...n possibly stop it adhering . Also a total of 3 coats of the wood preservative should be plenty to keep it looking good f 10yrs at least!

As has been said you are using a coloured stain and you would need a couple of coats to cover the existing colour of your shed, it spreads easier than normal paint, so a couple of coats of stain would take about same time as a single coat if paint.

Looks great, i really like the dark colour! I think cream or white is a good idea for inside to reflect the light and make it bright. Just done my shed navy blue on the ouside, and yes, its a thin woodstain👍 Made me laugh with the story of Dave/Tom. We knew a man called Derek, who my husband insisted on calling him Cliff for over 30 yrs😂.

I’d probably hold off painting the inside until fall. Give yourself time to do other things and also figure out what color you’d like to sit with.

Now that most of the rubbish is gone from your river allotment, I find myself really interested in seeing how you improve it. I'm really looking forward to seeing where you plant things, etc.

The 'paint' is a stain which is much better. It will soak into the wood rather than sit on top of it. It's a semi transparent which shows the grain of the wood. We're experts on stain here as our whole house, barn, woodshed and playhouse are covered in it. 😂 Ours is solid rather than semi transparent in a bronze/green tone.

Hello from North Carolina (USA). Good job on the painting. I love to hear the river in the background-very peaceful. I like the wood grain showing through, although that may not be the look you were going for.

Your new clock is beautiful. One of my fondest memories from my grandmother, she always had a clock in her bedroom that had been in her family for a long time. All night, the soft sound of ticking would put me to sleep. She passed away in 1983, I miss her very much.

Love the black, Sean! I use a black stain in my garden, as well. I agree about black making plant colors pop. Likewise, how about a bright shade of green for the window trim…maybe something like the color of the trees in the background when the light is hitting them? And of course…paint your wagon pink! 🖌
