I'm well aware the tyres are wrong, but 99% of my riding is on-road so i can't justify different tyres. Plus it adds to the fun... Anyway, I learnt from that day not to go off-road on road tyres if it is slightly damp. Now I only go after it has been dry for a long period.

I was testing out a new camera I bought, but I forgot to adjust the angle of the lens so I mostly recorded sky. This video is just a bit of fun Stitching the two together. My intention was to compare the quality of the new camera, and see if I could use it for anything other than straight footage.

Public liability insurance should cover you but check with your insurer if they cover this particular scenario (mine does). Ultimately it's up to the track if they will let you though. I have been to some tracks that still refuse despite adequate insurance.

@@jamie.goodson if you go regularly, it's worth getting your own helmet simply for hygiene reasons. It's also more comfortable. A cheap helmet is fine. You don't need to splash out on anything expensive.

Isn't all filtering overtaking?

Please tell me what you think I was doing that is bad driving? It's legal to overtake in the oncoming lane, and I was always inside the speed limit.

@@soyebaswat5382 it’s not the speed limit, it’s you counter flowing on the double white lanes. Tell Me what the double white lanes are and why the cars are not doing what you are doing and they stayed on their lanes. You can split lanes between cars but not split lanes into oncoming traffic. Good luck until one car doesn’t see you and you go head to head with it. I think I know who will win. Seen it and it never looks good for the bike rider. I live in the U.S. that is a major No No driving bikes. I drive bikes and cars. Always follow the road signs/lines, signs on top, signs on the side etc. I also live in Asia part time and have a car and a Dominar 400UGV2 and a MotorStar 250. I see Philippine drivers on bikes do the same you do and guest what 80% get into accidents all the time but the mentality there will not change with Kamote drivers. Stay safe and be a defensive driver always. You have a small real state or small signature, oncoming traffic or passing other cars May only see you 40% of the time. Happy riding.

​ @cmdrx5099 The US is one of very few countries that do not allow filtering. Most of the world filters, and does it safely. Filtering in most instances is safer than sitting in a queue. I have been rear-ended on multiple occasions when sitting in queues. I've only ever had one incident filtering, and I filter a lot. Riders in Europe have a much more complex riding test, and hence are much better trained than most of the world. We are taught defensive riding, correct road positioning, and use of the opposing carriageway, as well as ensuring we are visible to other road users. My point is I wasn't riding like a naive lunatic, but a well trained, and experienced rider. And I must emphasise. I would not have posted the video if I was doing anything dangerous or illegal. It's common in the UK for CZcams videos to be sent to the police if someone thinks something illegal or unsafe was occurring.

I agree, he should have checked and not assumed. As you can see, my indicators were not on. The blue sign is visible in the video, albeit briefly, and it shows motorcycles are permitted in that bus lane.

@@soyebaswat5382 yes. I ride a motorbike and am aware that motorbikes are allowed in the bus lane. BUT SO IS THE BLOODY BUS!!!!! The bus takes priority.

@@mcrorie2021963 The bus does NOT take priority. And bus lane or not, the point of the video is the unsafe lane change by the bus.

In case you cannot understand it, there is a bus at the top, a motorcycle and the word taxi in the next line, and a bicycle on the third line. Four types of vehicles are permitted to use that bus lane. They all have equal priority.

@@BernardAnlageIV I have no idea where you are from, but in the UK, bus lanes can be open to more than just buses, and all permitted vehicles have equal priority. That said, whether a vehicle is permitted or not, there is no excuse for an unsafe lane change. The problem here is an unsafe lane change, not the existence of bus lanes.

@@soyebaswat5382, no, the problem is that you don't know how to ride safely. First, don't impede traffic. Second, learn that buses absolutely have priority in the bus lane.

@@BernardAnlageIV all permitted vehicles in a bus lane have equal priority. I was not impeding traffic. I was in traffic until a second before the video began. I immediately accelerated until I realised the bus might cut me off. If I sped up to the speed limit which is only 20 there, I could not have cleared the bus and he would have hit me. The key point here is the bus cutting me off.
