I really enjoyed your reaction to DT's MSQ. Especially the rants you had in this stream around 7:00:00 and 9:00:00. DT's story was pretty mixed to put it nicely, and it's refreshing to see creators expressing that. Honestly, I hope you cut those rants out and use them for something. It does look quite a bit sharper and more clear for me but for some reason i lose about 5 FPS when I go from 100 to 99

the animations feel very underwhelming compared to the actual LBs we have right now. I mean, try to compare pictomancer's LB with any of the other casters... Meteor from BLM is literally peak explosion, covers your whole screen with fire, SMN's LB3 also cover your whole screen with a barrage of attacks from bahamut, and RDM's LB3 is two big nukes, one from white magic, and other from black magic. Pictomancer's LB3 feels like you could dodge it by jumping. Comparing the animation of Viper's LB3 with samurai, ninja, dragoon, monk, they all feel more powerful too. Even tank LB3 are more visually appealing.

So you are using an AMD card and not an Nvidia? Because that is what I see you have enabled. People are running around acting like this is universal, but that isn't true. Nobody should be using your settings just because you are a streamer. They should be learning about their individual computer and then changing settings.

This is just FSR's sharpening kicking in when you set it to 99. You can increase the sharpness in many different ways. Nvidia Control Panel, AMD Control Panel, Reshade, and I'm sure there are a bunch more. FFXIV has always been soft.

Regarding the "FSR at 99" trick... having it set to 100 (which means no scaling done at all), is NOT bugged. The game has always been this soft. But at 99, FSR is active, and the reason the game "looks better" is because FSR is really an upscaling pass + RCAS (the sharpening bit). At 99, you are barely upscaling at all but the sharpening gets turned on anyway. Normally you don't see this because developers are advised to provide presets (ultra quality, quality, balanced, performance, ultra performance) rather than a numerical slider. "Ultra quality" corresponds to something like 75% last I checked. When the video card is the bottleneck, it doesn't make sense to only go down to 90%, because the cost of the upscaling pass could be greater than the gains from dropping 10% in resolution. (Very likely to happen on Steam Deck for example) If you can do sharpening through the Nvidia app / GeForce Experience, I would recommend that instead, because the performance cost of the upscaling pass is incompressible and will run "in full" even for upscaling "by 1%". I've personally been doing that as long as I've been playing. I recommend the regular "Sharpen" filter at 75/10, not "Sharpen+". Otherwise this is a decent trick, especially on Steam Deck. The DLSS implementation is straight-up borked since the release of the very first benchmark and I would advise against using it. TSCMAA strikes a much better balance between sharpness and preventing shimmering.

You won't be able to tell with the compression in the video too easily. You need to try this with your own graphics settings to see the difference. Once you do that, then feel free to reply with your own results. Don't use my actual compressed video as evidence, it's not doing it justice! Try for yourself!

They really shouldn't have removed royal road and sleeve draw. Anyone who fishes for cards just don't know how to use their cards properly. You're just wasting buffs and utility that could have helped the party. None of the cards were ever useless to begin with whenever we had royal road. I never once used undraw or right-clicked any of my cards. The RNG was what drew me to the job initially because of how unpredictable it is, and that WAS the job identity along with the fact that they can switch from barrier to regen heals. I swear some people just need to shut up and play easier jobs and leave the higher skill ceiling ones to those who know how to play it efficiently, but thanks to them, we have butchered jobs like AST, SMN and SCH.

I don't agree with achievements being account wide or shared. That should be on a per character basis since so many of that stuff depends on actually doing said thing on that character. For example, seeing 'The Legend' title on a level 1 character, even if it's an alt. I don't like it. Now, if they let us make alts that just automatically start at the same level or story progression as our mains, then I'd say achievement sharing could be a thing.
