Pretty obvious that they held back doing big effects on the Picto LB because most of the ranged magic LBs are flashbangs and people have complained about them before.
Which is a bad move IMO since Pictomancer is all about cool visual and art, also massive bonk buffed damage. Other jobs are just boom boom explosion flashbang, while pictomancer is the only one to make sense and fully justified if it were to have a flashy LB

It looks like it begins to summon the huge painted Spriggan like Krile does in the trailer, but then it just turns into the rings of rocks, and the Spriggan is missing. I'm excited to see when it's live!
Yeah seems to be a graphical bug. I've seen some other content creators who did it and there was actually a blue spriggan in the animation! So way cooler!
They look so cool! Viper has that snake skin effect and I love how pretty Picto's is. It's very magic girl-like with the rainbows and the butterflies and the cartoony sparkle.
snake skin effect is from Dragoon attacks. That red tether dmg buff animation used on another ally they removed earlier and twin dragon red & blue animation. Idk the names, I dont play drg lol. For viper they changed it to orange yellow color.
Now that you said that, I realized the two blades are basically the snake fangs… especially that last slash down just reminds me of a snake biting down… omg this has probably been mentioned before but I just realized it now and I’m even more hyped about it

Viper would look so much better if they had a emerald green on their effects instead of the blue. I still dont get how you make a class called viper and get bright blue for its effects.

Picto is so lame for what an artist ultimate should be. Bummer. Viper is amazing with the snake pattern forming and then the fangs. Super creative without being flashy
Almost certain it's missing an asset, probably the Spriggan from the trailer. You can even hear some kind of critter grunt at where the butterflies gather.
the animations feel very underwhelming compared to the actual LBs we have right now. I mean, try to compare pictomancer's LB with any of the other casters... Meteor from BLM is literally peak explosion, covers your whole screen with fire, SMN's LB3 also cover your whole screen with a barrage of attacks from bahamut, and RDM's LB3 is two big nukes, one from white magic, and other from black magic. Pictomancer's LB3 feels like you could dodge it by jumping. Comparing the animation of Viper's LB3 with samurai, ninja, dragoon, monk, they all feel more powerful too. Even tank LB3 are more visually appealing.
So the trailer was Krile walking into the middle of a crowded city square and casting LB3? I knew she was evil all along...

I would have loved for Viper to be more akin to DRG with full snake but it's still good. Picto is suprissingly not blinding

Understandable, but blue snakes exist. And green is used quite a bit for another melee--Reaper.
