The catch-all tag beyond category is an apt description for some, Legrand satisfies the tag. Composer, pianist, singer songwriter, finest living arranger perhaps leading contemporary popular song writer. His orchestrations were acclaimed even by some unsympathetic to his lissome imagination His sumptuous orchestral re-voicing of songs is imaginative . Legrand's film scores stretch back to the 1950's. Songs are informed by pop sensibility Breezy Something new in my life. Others moodily substantial . Between yesterday and tomorrow. Whimsy of Maybe Someone Dreamed Us. Legrand kicked off aged 22 with album I Love Paris An incessant musical quester ever.approaching music afresh. As arranger his is the art of variation. No two takes are alike. One that eluded comment is the Bell I will wait for you 1974. Good fortune led Legrand and jazz singer Sarah Vaughan for a prized Vaughan ~ Legrand album summit. .Legrand Affair album with Melissa Errico amongst his best

Absolute best!!
Horrid-jumbled and directionless. Faux piano concerto intro then falling into goo and corny sentimental drivel. The harmonic clashes are shocking. Did LeGrand play on the session? Yikes.
After seeing the movie no telling how many times, I finally researched the soundtrack. Very chilling soundtrack to an excellent movie !
Magnifique souvenir
Always great.....BRAVI from Mexico City!
👍 *New: "Bill Evans & Symphony Orchestra - A Time For Love" on my channel* 😉
Je suis même pas né quand le film est sortie, j'entends parfois mes parents font des références au film, parcontre la musique du film a très bien voyagé à travers le temps, c'est un film assez triste parcontre, une dame qui préfère un vieux riche versus son pauvre jeune beau.

God bless you Jack! You are the best!! Michele Legrand SUPER ARRANGEMENTS!! 🎼🎶🎵🎼🎶🎵👍
I don't think anybody did Michel Legrand better than Jack Jones. He OWNS this song and What Are You Doing The Rest Of My Life as well.
Top movie! Super actors! Nice music Love it!❤
Voz sensacional, ritmo perfeito, letra linda, cantada pelo talvez ultimo dos romanticos, Jack voce e inegualavel meu querido, AMO VOCE PARA SEMPRE❤❤❤

This is perfection! A lost love, mourned. X
Beautifull I was at the marquee club seeing Georgie fame
I love Michel's composition here that mixes jazz with bossa nova...it actually works very well with the twin pianos taking the highlight. Michel Legrand was one of Johnny Mathis' favorite composers and writers....a prolific orchestrator of film and television scores, he won 3 Academy Awards among others. Passing away in 2019 at the age of 86, he is sorely missed; yet, his music will continue to be a blessing to others for years to come.
Best version
Unbelievably elegant and sexy
I can’t hold back the tears when I hear this, makes me feel like life isn’t so bad anymore
Me gusta más la versión de The Mysthique Moods ❤ !!😅
Very nostalgic❤
A beautiful Legrand score, and an absolutely silly Hollywood-cliché-laden movie.
Is that Terry Venables🤔
Such a hauntingly beautiful song about love and our karmic connections...
Волшебная Музыка
Last 1 standing
Im repeating what others have already said. This album is an exceptional masterpiece.
Para mi es como si estuviera caminando sobre las nubes, mejor cosa que me pudo suceder, hayer hoy y siempre....
This is one of those rare occasions where everything works together to achieve something superb : Michel Legrand's wonderful melody, the fabulous orchestration and and of course Melissa Errico's sublime voice interpreting the lyrics to perfection. Even the double bass adds to the magic. A memorable performance. Thank you!
Brilliant
