Honda XL500s Clutch plates and springs EBC 21jan2021

Changing the clutch plates on my XL500s. After i got the carburator working i noticed the plates were slipping when applying throttle.
Also changed the clutchsprings with the EBC clutchsprings. After the change the bike is responding very good, clutch feeling is perfect.
Tip: soak the new plates in motorcycle engine oil the night before.

Honda XL500s 1979 The bike wouldnt't run, even with compression and spark. So there had to be something with timing or fuel. Checked the carb and cleaned it, found out that the float was not according to specs. Adjusted the float as described in the manual, now the bike runs great! Honda thumpers can get noisy in the head when the camchain doesn't have the right tension anymore. The XL500 has an easy way to put the tension on the chain again! Loosen the nuts as shown in the video, the noise dissapeared from the head. You can do this a few times until the camchain is really worn. If the sound doesn't dissapear it's TIME for a new chain ;)

After installing the engine in the frame, i primed the oilpump to prevent an airlock. I tried to do this in the best possible way, in different steps to insure i have oilflow in the system.
