I was so into the story developing that didn't care AT ALL about the "CGI details" in a few scenes... anyway is a movie🤷🏽‍♀️. And it was all balanced perfectly i.m.o. But this is a matter of perspective, some care, some don't, some value more the story and character development than the practical effects

I'm in love with the whole universe and it was a treat to actually get to see the other factions and locations. So cool to see more of the politics and history of the world. Loved it, and honestly the CGI stuff did not bother me at all.

The line delivery is awkward because both the characters are not comfortable in their own body and in their own skin.

Your title and thumbnail made me pick this video among the 10 first results for this movie review. Unlike the others that made me avoid them, you seem like you have something intersting to say... :D I agree with many things you said, but... We don't need more context, it is irrelevant. The snipers dialogue is a nod to current polarized situation anywhere in the world today, where tension is the highest within population of same country, whether you look in Europe, Asia, US... people or sides hate each others for no reason other than "they are the other side", and having a reasonable opinion or wanting to take a middle ground makes you a ret... or a fascist. Regarding the "neutral" journalists. I don't think they are at all, neither here nor in reality. And for having closely followed tensions in 2 extremeties of our planet, I see similar behavior. It is not a deep movie at all, more like "if you know, you know". And I tend to agree with Garland's message, people need to talk. But I'm afraid we're beyond that.

Dementus is just a rip off version of Humungus, Praetor Jack is just a discount version of Mel Gibson's Mad Max, Immortan Joe was in his own right until this film made him a desert version of Darth Vader, and the fans are cucked out of their money yet again. There is a Fury Road comic that stated The People Eater was in charge of Gas Town, go figure they retconned that for this train wreck - Furiosa will not age as well as its predecessor. This film left me with more questions than answers and ultimately they should have just bitten the bullet and hired Mel Gibson one last time instead of Tom "Hardly there" Hardy for Fury Road. This unasked for prequel "girl-bossed too close to the sun" and is paying for it, I'm not a fan of how Furiosa never even once mourned her mother and on another note, this takes place in Australia but as per usual there are no Aboriginal Peoples - not even one! Like where'd they all go?! Seriously, the film needed a cameo from Charlize Theron at the end to fully transition from the younger version of her character... instead they just rushed past all that and expected people to suspend disbelief. 4/10, watch it once and be done with it as the CGI usage was the last straw. The ending was too on the nose with the messaging, so much so the whole thing may as well have never happened just like Dementus himself.

I Can see everything that she says in this video, but I feel like the whole movie was so much deeper than this.

As a newly out trans woman who saw this on a whim knowing nothing about it I was unwell watching this. Never thought I’d ever see anything like this.

I thought it was a 5 out of 10-no more, no less. And that is because the world-building was so good. I was very very disappointed in the last half. First, you are hammered over the head with the fascist-looking Americans and the wonderful peace-loving South Asians waving red flags (I live in Singapore). Could they have made the Vietnam analogy any more obvious? I could not stand it.

Thank you. You encapsulated my issues with this movie. A release titled Civil War: The Year of a Divisive Election in a Polarized Political Climate (and Country). I heard an interview on Mayo and Kermod, and it frankly pissed me off. You rightly state that "you can't have it both ways." I would go further. I found it to be condescending to the audience.

Movie was pretty awful

I believe why the movie is underperforming is that the first trailer that came out months ago.. the stunts and special effects looked like alot of the movie was green screened... this turned off alot of the audience.. thinking they are getting a mad max film that was mostly digital and not practical effects....which is not the case, when you watch the whole movie....

As a science fiction, fantasy lover i was looking forward to watching the creator. Visually it looked great but the movie made no attempt to get me to care about the characters in any way. I found the dialogue dull, the story flawed, lurching from over dramatic scene to over dramatic scene. Not every scene has to be full of awe, surprise, action.
