What part of Massachusetts are you going through? The Berkshires have Stockbridge, Northampton, Shelbourne Falls. Very scenic towns and Northampton has some great spots to eat. If you’re going coastal the cape is all traffic but beautiful. If you can’t do cape cod , Newburyport is a good day trip backup. VT and NH are epic. Follow the CT river up and you can hit Brattleboro Vt, the white mountains, lake Champlain. Have fun with the family!

cotton balls covered in vaseline. then you also have a little dab of Vaseline if you need it. usually one cotton ball is all it takes with proper tinder. i pack them in a used pill bottle. easy. almost free. already have the stuff at home.

I did the entire trail as a teen. I grew up in the Ocala National forest. There are some very interesting things at night.

I love it myself! Just recently purchased the sound due to Wishbone's review 10.5 and it's nice! Cup holder for sure is a pain but overall great boat, looking forward to doing some river camping in it

The Buck Creek stretch from the reservoir to mad River is definitely passable. There is a couple shallow spots, but it is very fun. There are some rapids as well for kayaks. Highly recommend it.

I'm fortunate to been raised and live in the adairondaks. I didn't get into it until my 30s but I so appreciate it now and I'm on the journey to all 46 HP. I'm have bagged 100s of other trails all over not one the same and all beautiful

Great work on your channel Jason. It's been a great resource for me to plan my own kayaking trips! If you could also put CFS in your description that would be great as there's not a lot of info out there for the less frequently travelled routes. Keep up the great work! And I'll have to find a way to get my hands on some of your sweet corn this year.

Tip: next time you’re getting out at 36; either get out before the bridge (there’s a nice easy path for getting canoes and kayaks out) or go over the dam as there’s another easy path out
