The 7 Princes of Hell
PATREON: patreon.com/generalistpapers
Please leave any questions for the QnA below my last video ( czcams.com/video/9it5wO9SFQI/video.html ) or on my most recent community post.
A few months ago I made a video about the ranks of angels in medieval theology. People seemed to like the video, and I enjoyed making it. When it was finished, and the video was published, I turned my attention to the next obvious topic. Demons. This video will discuss the seven demonic princes of Hell.

Very good up to the last sentence about thinking of modern unions as guilds 😵‍💫 unions are fundamentally different from guilds in MANY WAYS and I think too many people are eager for a gross simplification and will continue conflating guilds with unions. There’s a reason why Carl Marx was anti-guild but pro-union…

@@9BeetleBones6 - Screws up the provinces of half the demons, "Satan" and "Lucifer" should indeed be the same being. "Abaddon" is regarded as a fallen angel only by occultists, and shouldn't be there at all, but represents _God's_ wrath, not mankind's (and certainly not sloth). Ironically, this guy probably _did_ read the Goetia, and other sources, but is unaware of what a blind is, or how to spot one, so he just believed everything.

Did you know that the French created a brand new calendar after the French Revolution? It had three weeks of 10 days each; there were also 5 days that didn't belong to any month; these were national holidays. This calendar was only used for 12 years before the French returned to the Gregorian Calendar used before the French Revolution; it continues to be used today in the West.

I took a British Lit I & II class at, literally, just the local university when I was in eleventh or twelfth grade dual enrolled, and we were actually assigned Canterbury Tales in Chaucer's original MIDDLE ENGLISH, original spelling included, with lots and lots (and lots) of footnote explications, over the course of about half the semester. Somehow we got through it. Can't say it was an enjoyable experience and only got a B+ in the class, but it taught me something and I'm grateful for it in a way. And I didn't have much issue interpreting the Chaucer lines here...hoorah for small victories. We also had to read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight in middle English, but that wasn't Chaucer.

This is why the Bible contains prophecy like Leviticus 26:14-46… so that anyone with the ability to read and can understand centuries of Hebrew history can understand that the history as recorded by Moses is true. The religion of Babylon was a perverted story and they didn’t invent the week it was already there.

One question; why is Marquess sometimes spelled "Marquis", and is this ever correct? (And yes, I do know there is a French rank of Marquis - which is pronounced quite differently, and has nothing to do with the English system.)
