Am I doing it wrong. I only get 88 damage. Hahahaha
For evil arena with 2 electrics, I get 88 damage, that is because of the patch right?
@@kumgang2024 It could be because of the patch, or if one of the electrics are a wind god fist the damage will drop a bit. if you are hitting electrics, then it most likely is a change in the most recent patch
@@AveryxFGC yeah looks like it's the patch. I can do 2 electrics. But comparing to Reina. 89 damage combo for Kazuya is really strong. Thank you for the reply.
@@kumgang2024 heyo, just checked the combo again, the damage will actually be less if you opt to pop heat in the middle of the combo, if you dont pop heat and just make it to the wall, you should still be able to get 90 damage!
Ss left into electric from df2 CH. Then b22, df1 df2 is consistent. You have to ss left tho right after you counter hit
Or you could just learn perfect electric but he already explains the cons
Why is ur pc performance on the lower right constantly in the red lol
unfortunate bug, I have a mod that unlocks frames because my monitor is 240hz. with the newest patch its created a visual bug that says its always in bad connection. ive tested it multiple times and checked with mod support and it is just a visual bug, no actual lag comes from using it
@@AveryxFGC yeh thats why im confused why the framerate is constantly good but the game is like, nope ur pc sucks. xD
@@JKSSN123 yeahhh hopefully itll be fixed soon! ive tested multiple times with it on and off and confirmed that its the problem, but doesnt actually create any lag, its just some false positive which sucks haha
Watching you play king is funny af great video averyx! can't wait to see you try out more characters in the future
Thank you, I cant wait to try out more characters as well!
This is kinda funny. I reached Raining with my Yoshi and now, I'm looking to ranking up other characters while I'm at it. xD I'm thinking about putting Claudio and Kazuya on Blue ranks first before trying out King.
good stuff! im probably going to put kazuya in blue ranks as well before I seriously check out any other character, I checked out king for this video and realized he didnt quite fit my style haha, congrats on ranking up yoshi, and good luck getting claudio and kaz to blue ranks!
Be aware of your prowess inflation. You might end up facing 3 or 4 ranks higher than your main if you play more and more sub characters.
@@daro375 That's genuine good news to me. In the strictest sense of the phrase... I play to learn, not to win. I genuinely wish I could play against the god ranks more. The only way I could access playing against those players is by playing on Quick match. One dude in particular (who I have met in the Tekken lounge) beat my Yoshi to the ground in a mirror match. Offered to help me and told me that my offense is good but my defense (despite having 88 to 92 stats) is lacking and I play too risky. Opened my eyes to a lot of things and only inspired me to climb higher than Raijin. But I'm sticking to my plan on learning more characters that rely on better fundamentals. Honestly asking though, what's the difference? How is it a problem if I face players better than me?
@@AngeloGene if you have this mentallity then nothing. But for some people it's exhausting to play against a tekken god sub in garyu when your main is only kishin
@@daro375 Why is it exhausting? By the way. I've tried to look up the rank inflation thing you mentioned since I got curious. Apparently, devs made it so that people with equal prowess regardless of rank play each other? I've seen a whole lot of complaints because apparently, people don't like to be matched up with people with close to equal experience in the game? I honestly don't get it. I'm assuming it's because people don't like playing against more experienced players? I thought the point of ranked was to match you with players with similar levels? If the game thinks I'm as good as the pros welll... Then I'm honored. The best part is, I get to play with strong players and try and learn to adapt with what they're doing. I find it extremely admirable how solid and safe they play. Some are ultra aggressive of course, but it's still fun to watch the replay and see how I could've avoided getting hit. I learned a lot of match up knowledge from them. kung for example. You would be surprised how many moves of his that you can actually sidestep to the right. Against Hwoarang's blender (flamingo bs, as they call it). Sidestep-block towards where his stomach is pointing. Against Jack 8, you can crouch jab most if not all of his options in his Gamma Howl stance. You get the point. I enjoy playing with/against pros. I still lose a lot, but still. xD
I can’t do an electric and hit kishin with kaz pretty fast. Would love to play a set sometime
good shit on kishin! and for sure! id 100% be down in the near future!
@@AveryxFGC thanks man. It always really shocks me I run into so many crazy talented kaz players at lower ranks Makes me wonder if my play style is just suited for ranked play at these lower ranks or something. I can’t kbd or wave dash either 😂
@@koolmain8159 and thats totally fine! if you cant do any of these things and still hit kishin, it means youre doing something right at least! once you get down electrics and everything eles it'll just mean youll be that much better:)

Hey im new im trying to figure out at the most basic level what i should be aiming to do in neutral. Is it more character specific? I play raven because he looks cool and also he kinda clicked a little better for me than other characters so far. But should i just be looking to set up opportunities to whiff punish? Should i be looking to frame trap my opponent with jabs? I have never “seriously” played fighting games (tried to learn and get better and understand the strategy of how the game plays on a fundamental level) so this is all new to me anything would be helpful
hey, thanks for the comment! Neutral in the most basic form is when both characters are neither advantage or disadvantage in positioning specifically. your plan in neutral will depend on life lead, round count, character specifics, opponent character specifics, and opponent habits. For instance, if your opponent is bryan, and he keeps using 3+4 (his long reaching mid kick that has huge pushback and counter hit launches) your goal might be to bait out the 3+4 by focusing on advancing quickly to freak him out and get him to press, and immediately sidestep and launch his 3+4. I would say the three most important things when deciding what to do in neutral would be your character and the gameplan you would like to execute, your opponents character, and your opponents habits. Everything else is eventually important, but isnt as immediately important as those three things. TL;DR: if you know your opponent keeps throwing the same few moves over and over in neutral, base your gameplan on exploiting those moves to punish them!
@@AveryxFGC ok that actually helps a lot thanks
8:06 "laughing menacingly" great video!
Thanks a ton! this bear matchup was had me dying, I can say this is the most fun I had playing a bear player lmao
"I dont play very much" do a bunch of eletrics! Why you troll bro
electrics are just muscle memory! I practiced for maybe an hour a day when I first picked up T7 a couple months ago, and its just stuck, electrics arent super hard to hit with some practice!
@@AveryxFGC lies ive been doing them for months they are super dooper hard, especially after switching to stick!!!!! Why troll bro........ I troll him really good haha.
Please send all the Kings back to Garyu so I can play them please. I can't lab against King because I get excited for a split second only to be disappointed by the reality that it's just going back to practice mode. 😢 Supposedly the most popular character but somehow I don't see him that often.
Ive noticed it seems to be based on location too! I have a friend whos west coast and doesnt run into kings often around these ranks, im on the east coast of NA and as you can see I just kept running into them haha. Keep running those throw break drills and practicing the matchup! once you come across the next king youll be ready to kick his ass:)
@@AveryxFGC I usually *am* the matchup
anyone can hit purple if they actually can be bothered to play the game
I agree! as long as you put in the time and effort purple is absolutely reachable:)
Man this video is such a weird flex and also pointless considering its premise. You have a great execution with one of the hardest character in the game, a solid previous experience it's noticeable. You are definitely above average red rank player. You'll have also been playing an hour per week but it's obvious that you've spent a lot of time on tekken in the past. So yeah with your knowledge and execution skills anyone can make it out of red ranks.
I have about 200 hours on T7, I spent about half of that time in T7 practicing movement and electrics and thats about it. go back through my channel and watch my last T7 video, hitting warrior is T7 was genuinely the highest I had hit, and didnt care to grind much since T8 was almost out. I am not trying to "flex" because I know how to hit electrics and kbd, its literally just the character I play. We both know as well theres much worse players than me that are much higher as well, so this video isnt a "hey look at this flex I demolish red ranks" but a "hey im super busy and I could grind to this rank so can you!" its supposed to be motivation, not a competition!
Clean hellsweeps!👌
Thanks a ton, I appreciate it!:)
if you want purple ranks just pick alisa and pull chainsaws
this is absolutely true lol
Let me ask are you playing on a mixbox or keyboard? Or do you have prior tekken experience like booting up the game and just doing electrics? Edit : I'm asking this since you have execution first few minutes I can see you doing the proper backdash inputs and electrics you already have a solid base
hey! my prior tekken experience is just T7 with 240 hours, and 150 on T8, I play on a fightstick! almost all of my hours in T7 was in practice mode practicing electrics and kbd so I would be ready in T8, as I got into tekken suuuper late, my very first video on this channel was one of my very first times playing the game! (I think I played for two weeks before that video) outside of that I have no prior fighting game experience, so I just relied on youtube and practice mode haha
@@AveryxFGC No wonder you got a really solid base and understanding you'll reach blue easy even if you just play 1 hr a day
@@Dyleniz thanks a ton, I appreciate it!! im just gonna keep grinding and enjoying the process:)
I just want to know, How many hours do you guys have? I have 52 and I only get to play tekken at every second weekend. I am Flame Ruler right now with yoshimitsu. I spent 3600 hours in LoL just to get to fookin Emerald xD
I personally have 150ish hours on T8, but a lot of those are spent practicing offline or recording Broll footage honestly hahaha. and good shit hitting emerald in League! I could never honestly, that game makes no sense to me LMAO
@@AveryxFGC Yeah, LoL boils my blood. my first fighting game was mk11(280 hours). I bought it for 4 euro on steam when it was on sale. I fucking loved it. Even when everyone yapped about it being bad i just liked it. I always wanted to try tekken, but that anime looking style was holding me back. But when i finally did it, the first thing that cought my eye was yoshi, and then i never played anything else xD
@@tomkycze2620 hell yeah dude thats great that you found a character that sticks with you! yoshi is both one of the most annoying, and also coolest characters in the game haha, awesome choice!
its easy to hit purple ranks, its hard to get out of it
with enough dedication and practice I think anyone can get out of purple! if youve already hit it, you have at least some understanding of how the game works, which means you just gotta keep grinding!
@@AveryxFGC i keep going back and forth between flame ruler and battle ruler
@@tijankusacic8079 at least youre on the higher end of purple! all itll take is one good day and youll be up there in blue ranks! Id say watching one vod at least per play session and finding out what you could do better/what you could punish next time you fight that character, keep grinding, youre in the home stretch!
Great video! Subbed. Do you play on controller or stick? Doesn’t really matter to be honest but I’m just curious lol.
I play on fight stick!
You play better than some blue ranks maybe even the odd tekken king ive vsed. Purples will be a breeze

@@Al-gs1ocdon’t feel bad man I have 180 hours and I’m still in garyu
@@jonnysimpson093goddamn bruh 😭
@@Al-gs1oc I stuck at Eliminator too. I dont know how many hours i have but if i would guess maybe 45h or something like it. Red ranks are other level right? But i noticed that before i was being massacred by them and I was happy for winning 1 round. Now i pretty close to them winning 2 of 3 rounds and sometimes i can win 1 out of 3 in rematches. I noticed that the level of players in the same rank changez a lot too. I fought a Dragunov Shyriu and he was doing the same 2 or 3 string all the time. I even won against a Fujin (i use +-3 preferencial, thinking in change to +-2). So I think we just have to keep trying and improving. For me its time to stop being lazy and start to use the replay feature now
I think the anyone can do it was one of the main reasons I got into Tekken and after 250 hours I got to blue ranks this was a good video hope to see more content
Great clips Averyx glad the grind was worth it and congrats on hitting purple ranks! Hope to see you keep climbing :)
thanks a ton!! im so hyped that ive hit purple, and now I should have no problem grinding to blue/getting other characters higher!

DF2 is not guaranteed after the DF12 they can block See for yourselves
who said DF2 is guaranteed after DF1,2 what are you talking about
Buff Kazuya n word and so Murray did
HAHA I FORGOT ABOUT THIS TWEET
EDITS ABOUT MOVES TALKED ABOUT IN VIDEO: Thanks @HoS008 for the CD3 info! CD3 IN HEAT IS +6 OB, IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE USEFUL IN NICHE SITUATIONS THAN I THOUGHT! CD1+2 ALSO DOES NOT GIVE A COMBO ON COUNTER HIT ANYMORE THEY HAVE REMOVED THAT WITH PATCH 1.05 UNFORTUNATELY
Great video, but I think cd3 in heat is one of the most underrated buff no one is talking about, the chip damage for cd3 was for a reason, because in heat it deals 19 OB, it's now +6 on block and leaves you close to the opponent
thats my bad for not covering it on block in heat, does cd3 OB leave you at +6 if you hold back and save the heat bar? or is it specifically when it uses the heat bar? I might have completely overlooked that oops haha
@@AveryxFGC No unfortunately if you hold back it doesn't, but it's ok because nobody thought it would be this good 😂
@@HoS008 Thats still really useful information, I appreciate it a ton!
For People who might need more guidance in the neutral try to know where your best range is and stay there and use hard to whiff punish moves like ewgf and df2 ( with other characters mainly Paul )try not to do long range slow keep out moves like f 3 and remember slow down figure out the enemies mistakes and tendencies neutral is the best for this.
Great video averyx glad to see Kazuya get some reworking done. Can't wait to see some of this implemented in your play style!
thanks a ton! im really excited about the df1,4 changes and im already implementing it into my ranked games!
Great video! Love these quick videos but I kinda miss the old ranked vids! These videos where u teach are still great tho❤❤❤I’ve had very much fun with the new kazuya combos, especially in heat
they'll be coming soon dont you worry!! I have a very special one ive been cooking up that was supposed to be this weeks video, but with this surprise patch I wanted to get this out. It just means I get more time to edit and put more love into this video;)
df1,4 oH gives pretty much anything that hits OTG (ff4, OTG d3+4, db4, cd4, 4~3) and these hits don’t activate any stage hazards (floor breaks or floor blasts). ff2 doesn’t have pushback oB. CD1+2 is very useful in combos now since it does alot of damage and is consistent.
ill have to give CD1+2 a try in combos sometime honestly! it seemed pretty decent at wall, so ill have to see what I can do with it in combos!
Am a beginner started playing kazuya again I can finally hit some combos 😭but my neutral sucks so gonna watch ur guide on that later 🗣️
congrats on hitting combos! My neutral guide covers the very basics of fundamentals and should get you a good start at understanding it, good luck in ranked and never feel afraid to ask questions in the comment section, I read all of them and try to answer as soon as I can!
no offense but giving neutral advice at garyu seems kinda far fetched, like even in fujin there are some people who dont really understand it this is my very first fighting game besides smash and im currently sitting at shinriyu after like 80 hours and I dont see myself ever giving anyone advice since I play like a complete dumbass
I said at the very beginning of the video that this isnt my actual rank. im an offline player that doesnt play ranked because I have practice partners that are tournament players. I only started playing ranked because of youtube, theres a lot ive learned playing with some of the best players in the united states, and what ive talked about is not only true, but things that have been passed down and taught to me by these same professional players im practicing/playing with EDIT: The topics im talking about as well is the absolute basic fundamentals of neutral that red rank players should be learning right now, if Fujins dont understand at least the first step of advancing in neutral thats a very bad sign
@@AveryxFGC I mean you uploaded ranked gameplay like 2 months ago, if you are truelly playing waaaay better then red ranks you couldve skipped like 3 ranks per day, im not saying your information is wrong im just saying you arent really in the position to give advice as a beginner, it just seems wrong
