It's kinda neat, however instrumental bands must face the reality that their scope of appeal is somewhat limited compared to artists with vocals.

This is good for start but John whacks the low E string very dynamically, like slap bass and almost doesn't even move the fingers, but the wrist instead. It's a very weird technique and I have only seen one guy get it right on youtube.
