Tried it, like everyone says ,G. P. 9 sky high 8 thru 5 ok but 2 clubs shorter , so giant gap between 5 and hybrid, was no benefit for me.

I've just got 3 new wedges in my bag, I had my 46 tweaked to 48 and now I know how he did it. Was good to see you at Paignton Zoo last week 🙂

Would love to be able to justify a loft and lie machine in the garage. Build the one length set during the winter, you can stretch that to 3 or 4 videos at least. Identifying and buying the irons, sourcing the shafts and grips and prep work, the build and finally ‘the test’.

Really interesting about flattening wedges and how to do it - I really need to do some testing on my wedges as I often get a left shot with mine. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work.

love these videos, I can see my future man cave filling up with club building equipment....question about bending cast heads, do you find they eventually return to their original shape over time or will it be permanent? reason I ask is I had my Wilson Staff driving iron bent one-up because I was losing it a bit right, and that worked fine initially, but over time it seems to be leaking right again (which of course could be my swing changing shape but I'm ignoring that for now 😉)

Bernie, you piqued my curiosity about what it would look and sound like if a club broke while being bent, lol.

Totally relatable to me Lester. I’m in my 50s now, was quite the athlete in my day. Have come across a couple of bigger health issues over the past years. Nothing life-endangering, but serious enough anyway. My golf will probably never be painfree anymore unfortunately. Trying to get at peace with that at the moment. Its more of a mental thing now.

Interesting to see the process - I am sure that (for those who use driving ranges) that over time the lofts etc are affected, but the average golfer never thinks of having these checked !

I use standard Lamkin standard crossline grips. I would be interested in some grip reviews; as I’m never sure if they make a huge difference from brand to brand if they’re the same or similar specs. Thanks for the lie info, I always forget that lie is different with each manufacturer.

Nice round. Tough tight course by the looks of it. Just need to dial in your approach shots and you’ll be under par next time. Would like to see a blog at Teignmouth as it is looking really nice at the moment 👍

As always a refreshingly honest and open video, thank you Lester. Sorry I’ve no thoughts on supplements/diet. However, we start every Pilates session with rolling a spikey ball under each foot - seems to help - a tad uncomfortable though.

Looks like a tough tight course and if I played it would find it very hard as dont carry anything above a 6 iron and then hybrids, so would not have your skill with long irons. Good score from you Bernie

Anyone complaining that the gapping is an issue with one length does not swing it fast enough to have a 5 iron or possibly even 6 iron that is the length of a 7 iron. Quote from singlelength.com: "Choosing the configuration of a single length set is primarily based on your swing speed. In a single length set, hybrids serve the purpose of making the low-numbered irons easier to get up in the air at the shorter 7-iron length, and the slower your swing speed the more hybrids you need to integrate into the set. Here is a guideline based on 5 iron swing speed. 85mph+ no hybrids needed 80-85 mph #4 hybrid 75-80 mph #4-5 hybrids 70-75 mph no 4, #5 hybrid 65-70 mph no 4, #5-6 hybrids 60-65 mph no 4, #5-7 hybrids" etc. etc. below 55 mph they recommend all hybrids

Seeing you hit that bunker shot after you chunked the chip made me think, too bad you can’t trick yourself into chipping/pitching like you’re in a bunker because the bunker swing is very smooth. Hi Bernie. I work in the rehab sector. I would consider getting a second opinion beyond your gp to check that there is not an underlying reason rather than just osteoarthritis because you are pretty young to have that simply through wear and tear. There has been a lot of development in injection treatment beyond the cortisone injections that used to always be prescribed. They can be a bit pricey but I have had great results from hyaluronic acid injections and especially plasma injections.

I've been using the entire Eleven set for about 3 months. I'm about 5 strokes down and am having a blast playing again. I actually love looking down on them, confident that I'm going to hit it well. Buying these clubs is the best golf decision I've made in years.

I don't remember seeing your 2-iron recently, though it makes sense on this course. You're playing well; just need a good break here and there (like your putt on #9) to improve your scoring. Thx for the course vlog (the intro was great)!
