I love the loft and lie machine. In a sport that’s all about modern technology there’s no substitute for a good old metal bar and a bit of brut force. 💪🤣⛳️
Really interesting about flattening wedges and how to do it - I really need to do some testing on my wedges as I often get a left shot with mine. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work.
1000 pounds for a Lie angle tool? I like to work on my own stuff but it looks like I'll stick to replacing grips. 😀 You know you are actually a pretty good teacher.
Would love to be able to justify a loft and lie machine in the garage. Build the one length set during the winter, you can stretch that to 3 or 4 videos at least. Identifying and buying the irons, sourcing the shafts and grips and prep work, the build and finally ‘the test’.
@@berniebarnesgolf I was looking a couple of months ago for myself after watching one of your videos. I thought I’d found a decent set for it. The Maxfi Revolutions. They were about £90 from Golfclubs4cash but they’d gone when by the time I added them to my basket and gone through the process of checking out.
Interesting to see the process - I am sure that (for those who use driving ranges) that over time the lofts etc are affected, but the average golfer never thinks of having these checked !
love these videos, I can see my future man cave filling up with club building equipment....question about bending cast heads, do you find they eventually return to their original shape over time or will it be permanent? reason I ask is I had my Wilson Staff driving iron bent one-up because I was losing it a bit right, and that worked fine initially, but over time it seems to be leaking right again (which of course could be my swing changing shape but I'm ignoring that for now 😉)
I mean that is a possibility that it has returned to its starting lie angle. I’d say it’s more likely to change lie angles if the club is forged as it’s easier to move. It’s a one minute job to check your lie angle of the club.
I use standard Lamkin standard crossline grips. I would be interested in some grip reviews; as I’m never sure if they make a huge difference from brand to brand if they’re the same or similar specs. Thanks for the lie info, I always forget that lie is different with each manufacturer.

Absolutely Dave 😂
I've just got 3 new wedges in my bag, I had my 46 tweaked to 48 and now I know how he did it.
Was good to see you at Paignton Zoo last week 🙂
Was nice to meet you at Paignton Zoo, hope you had a good break Roger.
Bernie, you piqued my curiosity about what it would look and sound like if a club broke while being bent, lol.
I’ve nor actually snapped one mate unbelievably 😂

Cheers John! It certainly made a difference to me. Worth checking out especially if you have a left miss with the wedges.
Interesting. Ewell done
Thanks for watching Colin
Good video Lester, if I ever make over to the UK, I’d love to buy you a beer !!!
I’m up for that mate! Love a beer!
Informative Cheers
Thanks for watching Peter
Interessant stuff Barnie!
Thanks for watching Raja.
Nice1 Bernie very educational FairPlay buddy.
Cheers Will!
@@berniebarnesgolf no problem buddy. You need to get washy out on a Christmas special again this year.👍🏻👍🏻
Or a Halloween special.
😂 as soon as the course goes quieter I’ll get washy out I promise.
@@berniebarnesgolf nice1 Bernie 😂

Yeah the machine isn’t cheap but it’s what you need if you are doing repairs at a golf club Bob. For recreational purposes it’s a bit extreme 😂
Static. Dynamic. CZcams algorithm. Feet.
Thanks Brian. Appreciate the comment.
Extremely impressed with the choice of music track Iona, quite probably the best British artist for the last 10 years. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
😂 thought you would like it 😂

I like that idea Stuart! Thanks!

I remember those clubs! They would have been easy to bend!
I seem to learn something new every video you put out with reference to club repairs.
Thanks Andrew, anything else you want to see?
Really informative and well illustrated video Lester.
How is the arthritis?
Stay safe.
Thanks David! My feet aren’t bad at the moment, hoping it’s all manageable. Thanks for asking.
Very much enjoyed this, thank you Lester, learnt something new….👍
Glad you enjoyed it Graham.
Because of my suspect delivery my clubs are bent 2° upright 1 1/2° open. Brings my strike more centered
Having the correct lie angle makes a massive difference to strike Brian.

I would recommend getting them checked every year Martyn or buy new clubs 😂

I’ll definitely do some grip videos! I have a few experiments that I’ve always wanted to do as well!
