As a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, which is esteemed for its high standards of service, aircraft that are spotlessly clean and cabins that are kept in tip-top shape, it is very disheartening and disappointing to experience the very dismal state of the cabin in one of its aircraft. Even though it is a budget carrier, I do agree that Scoot's flyers deserve something much, much better--and it does not take much effort to keep its aircraft very clean

Unfortunately scoot is the only affordable option for some routes such as Singapore to Greece then Greece to Singapore.

I know it's part of the cost cutting measures implemented by Scoot but damn this plane is realllllyyyyyy dirty.

Please, I urge everyone not to fly with this airline when traveling to Bali or anywhere in Asia. Prior to booking, carefully examine their reviews. On 05/09/2024, during my flight, I encountered issues with their agent attempting to charge me $200 for a bag that was 9KG overweight. After requesting to speak with a supervisor, the price suddenly dropped to $80. Upon arriving in Bali, I noticed significant damage to one of my bags, with personal items missing from the only bag secured with a TSA lock. During the inspection, they mishandled my belongings, resulting in a broken African tribal necklace. Despite contacting the airline for assistance, their response, received all the way from Australia, was dismissive, stating that wear and tear costs are not covered, holding me accountable for the damages. This experience has deeply disappointed me as it tainted my first trip to Bali.

As a Singaporean, I can vouch that most of their airplanes are clean. Flying to Jeju on their A321 (TR812/TGW812) and the staff were friendly and the airplane was maintained. Overall, I think that these are just the older fleet of aircraft and are not really well maintained.

Most flights out of Perth from Scoot to Singapore have been good and they are ridiculously cheap.

Great video! 😃We've never had a bad flight experience with BA staff, they have always great for us. We always use Avios to purchase our Club Europe short haul reward flights. This Easter we flew to Rome (4 of us) for just £4, treated my Dad with the Club check-in, fast track security and his first ever lounge experience - all for £1 per person. Plus - seats at the front of the plane so you hop on and off the plane quickly. Granted, Club Europe is basically an economy seat with the middle blocked off so I wouldn't recommend paying with cash. That being said it's really unfair to compare it to a long-haul business class flight and you should really try to manage your expectations. If you're going to compare anything to Virgin Upper, then compare Singapore Airlines Business which wipes the floor with it.

Low cost airlines suck, used them a couple of times but never again. Flying should be a good experience not a fu**ing endurance test.

Club Europe is good if the flight is after 12 noon so you can use the lounge, a 4 hour flight to say the canary Islands, has gone up from £130 ( from) to £179( from) simply not worth it...

Have you tried the Pret at gate A3 in T5? It always has a shorter line.

As a former cabin crew at scoot, personally from my 2 years experience, 9V-OJA TO 9V-OJE are all pretty much degraded externally and internally, we do raise CDLs on stuff but becuz they squeeze the operations of their planes so close to each other, they rarely get sent for deep cleaning or full proper maintenance. Just speaking on experience as a former cabin crew with them.

I work at an airport lounge. It’s easy to knock the food and service, especially at 6am! Seems like you weren’t going to like whatever they offered!

The food is terrible for what you have paid. Penny pinching by the airline. BA pays around £6 to the caterers for each of those meal trays and hot plate.

Thank you for highlighting this poblem. I have been trying to do the same but i guess the company only listen to people with influence like you and not their employees. Our concerns fall on deaf ears.

Well, as the name suggests, Singapore Airlines reflects Singaporean hospitality, while Scoot just gets you to your destination the cheapest way possible.

The condition of the plane from sapporo to singapore is much better. I guess they use older and worn out planes for shorter routes. Nonetheless, that shouldn't be an excuse for them to not maintain a decent level of cleanliness and a new coat of paint for the plane.

Always have a good flight with BA and Club is generally worth it. Of course VA is going to be better - Europe is a short haul frequent flight market, it’s not a luxury market and never will be. It’s cheap and cheerful. As much as I love your content food I have to always ignore given your food preferences (not bad but I do think that it alienates a lot of the possible food options) as well as so many reviewers seemingly ignorant to this being a British airline - it will have typical British food which many don’t like but hey ho. I’ve always found service great, food is fine (I don’t expect it to be amazing) and drinks free flowing. If you bother to build a rapport with crew it’s even better.

I will never fly scoots

Flying low cost airlines sucks! But Scoot really sucks! Having been on 4 Scoot flights recently I was shocked that Singapore Airlines the best airline in the world could have such a crappy low cost carrier. The only reason I fly Scoot is some destinations have limited choice in flights from Singapore, only positive is I get Krisflyer (Star Alliance) air miles and of course flying from and too Changi. AirAsia is much better and more polished, OMG even Ryanair is better in Europe.

I fly BA club around twice a month. Here’s a top tip at T5. Don’t go to either of the two BA lounges in the main terminal. Hop on the short transit to B gates and go to the lounge there. It’s far superior.

I swear to good I will never fly with ba again not even around Europe there so slow at Service it’s taken them 2 and half hours to bring any drinks and food out! Even business class is shit come bk from America last week ! They didn’t even have air conditioning! For me one worse now days ! If I ever fly across to America or South America American Airlines for me ! There so much better ! People out if your travelling around Europe just use easy Jet ! 10 times better then BA ……

Is BA Club Europe Worth it? Hell NO! Whoever designed the soft product really needs to find a new vocation in life. Food is always shockingly bad. However, I'll be reviewing it myself in about 8 weeks time (again). I suspect I'll produce another twenty-minute rant on CZcams about how bad it was.
