I flew business intercontinental recently for the first time of my life. I flew turkish as well... But! I had A321Neo and A350 with the "secret" business class (aeroflot). It was just the best combo I can imagine.

After being a premier platinum with United Mileage Plus for over 16 years, I changed 5 months ago to Turkish Airlines Miles and Smiles. I tell you this was the best decision I ever made! I have no idea why I had blind loyalty to United when their service, crew, and lounges are so subpar to TAL! Within 5 months I am one flight away from Elite status that I will have for 2 years, not one on UAL. Although the TAL lounges are always packed, there always seems to be a nice place to sit. They also have Suites that you can get if you are coming off a long haul and have a long transfer time. TAL is top notch! Thanks for the video!

Really enjoyed this video, especially Dan's dad and his business class experience. TK actually does have aircraft with a more up-to-date and much more private seating in business. I think they're gradually phasing out the 2-3-2 seats that are so un-private.
That being said, TK is my favorite for business class USA to Europe: the chef, the FOOD, overall service, IFE, the lounge in IST. What I definitely don't like is the enormous size of the IST airport and the interminable walking. Thanks for the tip about an alternative passageway through the airport.

Dan... TK is a wonderful airline and every time I have flown them it has been a great experience. I travel from Panama via Istanbul to destinations in Europe and the rest of the world on the 787 which flies non stop to Istanbul. My only complaint is that the lavatories for Business Class in the back next to the galley, passengers from the Economy section come forward to use them which makes it very inconvenient for passengers flying Business. I always select seat 8K because its closer to the lavatories, but I have to confront such inconvenience. However, the lavatory in the front galley would be the "only one" exclusively for the Business Class passengers. I complained to the flight attendants about that problem because they are the ones to control the flow of passengers, but they don't do anything as other airlines announce to use solely the lavatories in their assigned sections. Next time you fly TK on a 787 make sure you say something. They might listen to you. Happy travels... 🙏

Guy’s, how nice you like the Max. I on the other hand avoid booking with airlines that use it. I put my safety over comfort and select airlines that do not have them. Next flight is on Jet Blue and then Porter. Not a MAX in sight and zero chance of substitution at the last minute. Thanks for doing what you do.

Thanks! Non stop Dad representing! The Turkish Boeing hard product can be meh especially the middle seat (wth), but the Turkish Airlines IST Business Lounge and A350 business class experiences combined are almost incomparable.

14:49 this happens every time I fly from Amsterdam Schiphol to Almaty, Kazakhstan via Istanbul. However, on the way back, I must go through transit security. I guess they don't ask travelers to do the security check once again if they came from a flight originating in the Schengen Area

The one and only trip I've ever flown business class was with Turkish. I flew on the A321 (same as your 737 seats), the new A350 seat, and the newer 777 (same one your dad went on). I LOVED the A321 - it must be the best short haul business class! The A350 seat was definitely the most private (and the fanciest). But the 777 won hands down for me in terms of space and comfort. I literally fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and woke up several hours later!

I for one would fly over to Gothenburg if you guys ever did a four or five day tour of your city in person. I know nothing about Sweden or Norway or Finland. I did go to Iceland over Christmas. Hey, quick question - did you find that the recline of your seats was limited because of the wall behind them that separates Business from Economy, or did your seats recline just as much as the other seats in Business Class?
The recline is just as good in the last row!

I'm supposed to fly TK in March. I booked with them to fly specially on their a350 business class.Now they changed the planes. It's that horrible 777. I contacted them and they don't agree to cancel and full refund my flights. It's such a shame and a scam. It's like you pay to rent a Porsche and you get a Dacia.
So disappointing.
Their customer service not effective (but friendly)

The Miles and Smiles lounge and the Business Class lounge is the exact same lounge. They just have 2 different entrances for dedicated business class and Miles and Smiles users 😊
Hello, it looks like similar but there are few differences in term of games-activitys-massage etc and also accomodation. There are rooms to rest up to 6 hours, if you fly business
At Istanbul Airport, the Miles and Smiles lounge and Business Class lounges are totally separate.
They are completely separate. Not one lounge divided. The layout of the two is like a mirror image. And there are some different features. But yes, there's no r e a l difference as in food or Beverage offerings and space.

I am just back from BKK-OSL with Lufthansa business. So disappointed and will never go with them again :( Delayed into Munich, no info. Got a hotel with a shuttle bus that never arrived. Took a taxi to the hotel, no food. I ordered vegan food months before and started early morning asking them if my food order was ok. Yes all sorted out! I was so hungry in BKK after almost 2 freaking days with no food GRRRRRR. No sorry nothing, i wanted beer instead but service stopped after 1,5 hour in the air. I have problem walking, go and get it was the answer i got when a called them. Was is lost? Returning the same, i timed them. After 1 hour and 50 min after take of all service stopped.
Over night in Germany, no amenity, no t shirts underwear, food etc. The way back the same. Business?
Next time maybe Turkish air, it looked good. Tack Dan och Oskar.

Dan: go have a seat back in economy in that 737-Max. It'll remind you why most of us prefer the Airbus A320 family over that mildly refreshed sardine cattle car can experience only a duct-tape masterpiece built by Boeing can offer.
In all seriousness, having a business seat or even premium economy is probably fine in a 737, but anything more economic, you're better off in almost anything else.
23:41 You got really unlucky with your 777. Turkish has only three 777s with that config. Its a nightmare compared to standard Turkish 777 config. At least they are not using that on long hauls.
