I love this album. For me it’s my second favorite behind Trench. Nothing will every hit that trench level I think. But for now this album is really good. Super strong release from TOP. And we have the same favorite track on the album. Navigating for me is definitely the best on the album. Loved your reaction to this album. Pretty much spot on to my thoughts of it song by song.

The last track sounds like some Thirteen Senses recent songs, you should check it out.

i know some people were a tiny bit disappointed that the trench-like feeling of overcompensate didn't really stay throughout the whole album, but honestly i think that the identity this album has is so unique to their stuff and is just as good as trench, albeit fairly different.

I respect the Creep pick - it says you're not afraid to go with the popular pick when it is simply better than the rest of the album, and then you smash out Bulletproof, Climbing up the Walls and How to Disappear - also my favourites even when they're far from the most popular. I would replace Knives Out with Pyramid Song and Ful Stop with Glass Eyes but I'm completely down with the rest. There There was another Creep situation, probably Lotus Flower too.

the whole point of the album is the conflict never ends. however much progress you make, its hard not to backslide in to old habits. the message of the album is that, despite this, it's always important to be there for people, and keep trying to look after yourself, even when times get tough again. great reaction btw.

Yeahh Tyler kind of confirmed Lavish was experimental in their livestream. Put it in the middle, as a reminder they can do a different 'sound' w/c they can piggy back on for future albums. Lyrics kinda confirm this too. I personally love it. I think it's one of Clancy's best tracks, ironically, since it kind of deviates from the overall concept of the album.

I don't know about Paul Meany "fixing the vocals" - He's clearly improved the production quality, and added some interesting and unique ideas, but whenever he talks about projects, he almost always says that the vocals rarely ever change from what Tyler brings him on the demo, and when he mentioned they did, it was Tyler thinking he can do better, and redoing them himself. I think Tyler just got better at recording and working with vocals over the time😅
