    There are no short songs on this album. There's a medley. The songs flow together. There are no breaks. I'm not sure why anyone would listen to the songs separately, explaining all the time it's a medley.

    Thanks for the review. I almost weep every time I get to the end of it. I am so glad the Beatles were able to hold it together long enough to finish their collaboration so beautifully.

    You can appreciate the harmonies on You Never Give Me Your Money... but Because is " weird????"... You are hopelessly contradictory. Try something else!

    • @humanreviewsstuff
      @humanreviewsstuff  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Well, yeah. One song's weirdness I found to be charming, and the other's I found to be just a little too much. Bear in mind, I still gave Because an 8. People assume that because I have one issue with a song, I hate it.

    I dont think you should have listened to the medly like that with pauses, it's mean to be listen without pauses and should be considered like one song, at least that's what i think

    • @humanreviewsstuff
      @humanreviewsstuff  Před 5 měsíci +6

      Yeah, relistening to it unbroken definitely worked a lot better. My scores on each individual track are still around the same, but the flow is far better when unbroken.

    16:58 I think “The End” is kinda of a very profound statement to end on, throughout the Beatles early history they were know for their love song and even after taking a more artistic approach with later albums like revolver, love became a minor subject and to end out you last recorded album with a statement as simple as “And in the end
    The love you take
    Is equal to the love you make” is very beautiful and profound to me

    This album was recorded in August 1969. Let it Be was recorded in January 1969, but Abbey Road came out first becase Let it Be was shelved for more than a year. Technically, Abbey Road is the their last album, hence "The End" on Abbey Road whcih was the Beatles literally saying "Love you!" to the fans, and a final bow as all four Beatles play solos in the aptly titled "The End" which its cosmic message of "the love you make is equal to the love you make." Perfect ending to an incredible music journey. This album is definitely a 10 in my book. Waay ahead of its time, with proto-metal riffing, Moog synthesizer, and tons of classic songs. Peace!

    I really like You Never Give me Your Money. Lots of classic Beatles elements. Also this has the nursery rhyme that Charles Manson's family used in one of their murders. Golden Slumbers and Carry That Weight are the 2nd best on this side after Here Comes the Sun.

    Abbey Rd was the last album they made, although Let it Be was released after it sadly.
    As a music lover of all genres and singer songwriter myself, I would say the Abbey Rd, especially if you treat the medley as a medley and not individually, I would say that Abbey Rd is the best album ever made.
    I don't think you are ready for it yet

    GO BACK AND LISTEN TO THE MEDLEY NON-STOP!!!! The Side Two Medley (Last 9 songs - beginning with YOU NEVER GIVE ME YOUR MONEY)) is basically an edit job of previously recorded stuff put together primarily by George Martin and Paul McCartney, with a little input from Ringo, and I think George gave his blessing but was busy doing his own thing and didn't show in the studio - John really hated it, because he had zero to do with it also - but that Medley played non-stop is some of the very best in recorded music history. It paints a lovely mind picture (His sister Pam is also Polythene Pam, and so on...) It's a MEDLEY, dude - and leave your Pussy alone!!! I'll give you a solid 5.

    The bass line of Come Together has been copied many times. E.g. from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The whole Abbey Road album is full of new things in terms of pop and rock. The synthesizer can be heard for the first time in pop songs like "Here Comes The Sun" or in the rock blues piece "I want you" as sound efeckt etc. "Beause" is clearly inspired by Beethoven. harmonically a good piece for choirs and absolutely good polyphonic sung. In addition, at that time the Abbey Road was brought to the most modern sound technology. which Pink Floyd also used 3 years later for the album "Dark Side Of The Moon" and therefore you could sometimes hear the sound of the late Beatles.
