65 Cambridge Pack (Kemper, ToneX, QC, Helix, Fractal)
Download Now at: tonejunkiestore.com
The 65 Cambridge Pack (for Kemper, ToneX, Quad Cortex, Helix and Fractal) seeks to recreate the sound of a 1965 Vox Cambridge 1x10 combo. Did you know that before the Vox made the Cambridge into their solid-state model it was made for two year, 65-66 as an all tube 17 watt combo? This EL84 driven 1x10 combo was designed and released to compete with the Fender Princeton reverb and feel like a cross between an AC15/10 and a Princeton. We grabbed its tone thru the Oxford made Golden bulldog speaker that is one of the best, little known old speakers that are rarely talked about. Plus we have given you the option of some larger cabs like a couple 4x12s and some old Alnico Silvers.

Awesome
As a player who hates complexity and learning curves, even the ToneX (of which I have owned the big box and have just ordered the One) is an annoying stretch, due to their rather non-intuitive PC app and overall approach. That said, the ToneX One shines so much due to its compact form factor that I simply cannot resist getting sucked back into the ToneX community, after having shelved my big-box unit for a few months in favor of other solutions. So what about the Namm player? Dead on the water for anybody like me who is just interested in finding good tones and playing rather than fiddling - and I‘d dare to claim that describes the vast majority of potential buyers out there. Look at the huge success of the Boss IR-2 (which I don‘t like at all), the Pod Express Go and even the Katana Go, and you get the picture. And for those interested in a professional unit with great tones that are exceptionally easy to dial in and use, there‘s also the Fender Tonemaster Pro (which gets no love from you guys, despite a great initial track record for updates and enhancements). For all the rest of us who maybe just want a pedalboard amp that doesn‘t break the bank, the ToneX One is THE solution. Namm? Too late to the game to win. Various nerds and enthusiasts will cling to it like the Holy Grail, but with ToneX One, the market has given birth to the best pedal to get the job done without wasting pedalboard real estate or having to fiddle (except for getting the hang of IK M‘s overblown and confusing software approach).
I find that dialing in a bit of the clarity control, gives the Kemper a more Fractal/Axe-FX kind of tonality.
$100 is INSANE pricing. Specially considering it’s a worship music preset. It’s insane to be so overpriced. Nothing wrong with charging, but $100 for a preset is insane.
Peeps overlook hardware platforms for Neural Am Modeler easily. Like the NAM Player pedal. Watch elsewhere to learn more and follow the developments there
IKM PR you can find here 😅
that meme is silly, neither one was guilty, they were just the victims of a corrupt judicial branch
HOw about Tank G?
I'm running the tonex one into the effects loop of my hx stomp xl, the captures are awesome and freeing up the dsp on the stomp makes for a killer rig. very happy. running the unit in fender tone master fr10!
I feel people always skip over the xloud on the devicevwith all the amazing uploads users have added.
It's all in what you connect with. I've had em all, and while I won't sell my Kemper Stage, I've really bonded with my Headrush Prime, it inspires me on unique songwriting tones more than anything else. My FM3 was good too, but didn't inspire me. It's all in what we connect with.
i hated my tone x one i traded it the next day i had nothing but issues
Whoa - what kind of issues?
@@thesoozeTJ well it did not load the tone proper or something it would just buzz and the amp would not make the proper tone it was liek more of a stock tone when seeing what you wanted to load on to it
@@leighton138 ahh yeah gotcha
I like these kind of discussions, I learn so much from them. The fact that you can share almost everything software related regarding the ToneX may have put it on such a high spot, I agree with you. What I have missed in this conversation is the fact that IK Multimedia is a software based company that has started to make hardware at some point. So they have a very stable software platform. I have the original ToneX, line 6 and the Fractal FM9. Of all 3, I still like the software of the FM9 the most (maybe due to the fact that I use the FM9 the most). The line 6 software is very user friendly. In the beginning, I had a lot of issue with the Tone X software regarding connectivity. I had contact support several time to solve the issue. Now it is more stable. To conclude, they are great guitar processors. The fact that you can buy presets, IR;'s etc make them even greater. My number one board is stil the FM9. I'm so grateful that TJ offers stuff for Fractal too now. I have already bought the whole package (for Tone X too).
Really glad you enjoyed it!
I’m in the dental industry and while I try to maintain some of my own activity on Facebook, I’m pretty much on there only for the groups as well. Great point.
it’s literally the same technology as tonex which is only usable with 3rd party captures anyway…which is literally the same thing.
I wish this battery powered as an option, or at least rechargeable. I love AmpliTube 5 and would’ve bought one in a minute for taking to the park. Can anyone hip me to good portable options in this regard? Thanks!
Got the line 6,BUT NOW I MUST GET THIS.
My god the Gretsch sounds absolutely glorious.
For me personally what’s wrong with it is their presets are absolute trash. In my experience you can tell a lot about products like this from their stock presets, and this has some of the worst I have ever heard.
Not even 1 bottle of Jack Daniels in sight. 😂
This tone matched IRs gave new life to my Helix. Thanks guys!
I sold my old Headrush Pedalboard to get a Fractal FM3. Two months later I sold the FM3 to buy a Two Notes Revolt (tube preamp pedal) AND a Headrush Core. I get the best of both worlds as well as the best UI experience with the touch screen. It is by far the easiest pedal to use and edit.
So how many amp tones can be toggled on the big button? Two?
Has this been tested/working with Helix? I bought the JMP2040 pack and it will not load into HX Edit.

Shoot us an email, the first time we uploaded the file there was some bug but it’s fixed now and I can resend you the pack.
This might be too guitar adjacent for this podcast 😂 (which I am loving!) but I would love to hear you guys talk about IEMs things you like about them don’t like, tips and tricks, EQing etc!
That's a good one!
Only talking? No test?
Not only glad I got my Kemper in 2017, but I'm thinking of getting a KPA Player for gigs and leaving the rack at the studio. It's just a wonderful piece of gear, and I love that they are still updating the firmware all this time over the same units. It's just awesome
Was going to get a GT1000 Core to partner with my ToneX but would have needed an additional midi controller and expression pedal. Definitely going with an ms3, a little less money and then all I need is an expression pedal.
I hold off on getting a ToneX One until I can find one used. The Boss IR-2 is supposed to be a good device also, and it is in the price range of the ToneX One. I might just get them both if I can find them used at a decent price.
I got a text Saturday night notifying me of a key change and song change. So I worked on those changes. Got to church the next morning and had 2 more key changes during rehearsal. WE ONLY DO 5 SONGS!!!!
hahaha that's frustrating
Hey HW and Sooze, Have you guys ever come across a Star Sirius Amp? 20 years ago one crossed my path and left a very good impression but they seem to be a Unicorn now....I need these patches!!
Looking to pick one up but I believe channel 1 of this amp is the Sirius channel.
@@ToneJunkieTV Happy hunting HW,,,,,God Speed
As a Generation X member I feel might at home with the UA stuff at least initially but I see your point
I bought this pack. The folder IR is empty. In Tonex there is no indication of any Speaker. On your website there is no support option I can find. Please advise.
czcams.com/video/C40Nh2f1apo/video.htmlsi=e9lfzVyfLNrAyn50
Working on resolving the folder IR issue, sorry! For ToneX, the speakers are indicated in the names of each file: M - 69 Marshall 4x12 G12 M25 H - 70 Orange 4x12 G12 H30 X - 66 Vox AC30 combo Alnico Silver B - Bright EQ N - Normal EQ
I am traveling in an area with low signal strength and I’m having trouble getting the file reuploaded. But shoot us an email and I’ll resend you this pack with the IRS fixed. I apologies. Sometimes when compressing the download things are getting messed up. I think I know what’s causing it but I’ll get it figured out.
@@ToneJunkieTV I replied to the conformation mail. Is that ok?
This did not work. Got a no reply answer. What email address should I use?
Nice - but if you´re using a midi switcher anyway, I just don't understand why you want all your expensive pedals out on stage, adding risk and excess cable length.
I love this format where you talk about the amp and ahow it instead if just demoing songs. Some original tone junkie vibes.
🤘🤘
Great playing dude 🔥
Aren't the latest QC captures included in the Quad Cortex Everything Pack?
Yes, only if you order after they are released. The everything packs are not subscriptions for future releases.
NAM has *half a millisecond* of latency, that's 1/6th of the TONEX pedal. That's huge for amp-only pedals of this nature (NAM, Tonex, Kemper player), which require an additional effects to complete the package.
That’s a friggin sweet rhythm sound
Thanks - Glad you liked it!
Until they make a floorboard that is all in one like a Helix, I can't do ToneX. So over wiring up pedal boards, just wanna plonk a Helix down and be done with it all.
Each to their own. If you'd ever played one gig with stage divers you'd never even consider putting an expensive unit like that out on stage. Just a sturdy midi board with protection above the connector for the 20m midi cable with power included for me.
Great sounds & riffage!
Appreciate it! 🤘
I am once again asking for an "HW: Unhinged" show.
Which modeler/profiler are yall using for this? Need to set my expectations for my unit haha. Sounds awesome
This demo was recorded with the kemper but truthfully the difference from CZcams compression will be larger than between units.
And downloaded!
Hope you enjoy them!
But it doesn’t do meal. Sorry, I mean metal 😬
