At some point in time, people drifted away from the connection that they have with their food. It is my mission to show full circle how you can live in a consumer age without depending on a grocery store and still be able to eat high grade, organic and insanely delicious meals. Not only is it possible, but you can have a blast doing it. There is no better feeling as a father than providing for your family. Tag along with my family and I, and I will show you how we make it happen!

What I Plant in my Summer Garden
When I first started growing a garden, I would usually call it quits after the spring plants withered away. That doesn't need to be the case! After trial and error, I realized that I was able to keep food growing year-round, regardless of the changing seasons and challenging weather. Here are the five things that I consistently plant in the heat of the summer!

Extracting Honey from a 100+ Year Old Tree!
zhlédnutí 152Před měsícem
When my friend and fellow Project Superintendent called me to let me know that a massive Sycamore tree was being removed from his jobsite, I was on my way to haul home the section of the tree that contained a large honey bee colony. Not only was I interested in the liquid gold stored inside, I had my sights on moving the colony into my small apiary as well. Here is how it all went down!

Wild Game Cooking Demo using 4S Seasoning

Each spring, Advanced Wildlife Solutions hosts what they call the Deer Growers Field Day. There are always plenty of great speakers, demonstrations and vendors. As important as the conservation, equipment, gear and knowledge is, the end goal is to put big deer on the dinner table. This year, the guys invited me down to give the attendees a little taste of what can be done with their seasonings....
Georgia Trout Fishing | Day Two Limits!
zhlédnutí 262Před 2 měsíci
This weekend was so packed with exploring, and action-packed fishing that I had to make a part two! After the first day of figuring out what the fish were biting on and getting settled in at camp, it was time to focus on filling the cooler. We did exactly that! There is a ton of great fishing in North Georgia. I highly recommend marking this one down on your trip list!
Trout Fishing in Georgia | A Successful Beginning!

Growing up in Central New York, I was surrounded by an abundance of trout streams and salmon filled rivers. It wasn't until I moved away that I realized how much I missed something I had taken for granted. Thankfully, North Georgia mountain waters remain cold enough to hold piles of trout, giving you an awesome fishing experience and quality table fare. Here is just the first afternoon of our t...

Turkey Hunting Georgia's Opening Weekend | Part One

Opening day of any season always has me strung out with excitement and anticipation. That first sunrise gobble will make your heart race and put a smile on your face. At that point, the chess game has begun. Other times, it doesn't play out like you had rehearsed it in your head. In that case, you need to make the necessary adjustments and learn to enjoy every bit of the experience.
Salt Crusted Crappie Recipe | Cooked Over an Open Fire!

A few months ago, I was able to haul in a pile of fish, thanks to Chester's Crappie Guide Service. I said in that video, that I had this recipe coming up. Well, here it is. This is one of my favorite ways to cook whole fish, and what makes it even better is the simplicity and doing it all outdoors. Give this a try and pick the bones clean!

Deer Hunting with a Recurve Bow
zhlédnutí 1KPřed 5 měsíci
As one season draws to a close, another has just begun. For years, I have wanted to take a deer with a recurve bow. It wasn't until recently, that I felt confident enough in my ability to take it to the woods. Extended archery season presented the perfect opportunity to take on the challenge. With multiple deer in the freezer and that pressure turned off, I figured it would be a great time to s...

Upland birds are an absolute blast to hunt. Even better, they taste great too! Its about once a year I find myself with an opportunity to harvest this fine table fare and this year I caught it all on film. Enjoy the hunt and be sure to save this recipe for your future bagged birds!
Never knew there were swamps like this in ga
A lot of people don't. Once I found a few places it kept me coming back. Absolutely beautiful!
We southern brother
That first week of Nov was nice with that cold front that came thru. Got the deer up and moving
You should try the two step Cajun seasoning. It is really good on basically everything I have put it on.
I have been meaning to!
Looks delicious. Definitely making for my husband tonight !
For how long time can be storage ?
Quality is best before the 2 year mark but edible and safe for a very long time.
Dangerous, cancer-causing chemicals should always be your first choice. Screw the environment. Eco-friendly hand tools like saws and axes and machetes are only for tree-hugging psychos who care about not poisoning waterways, native plants, insects or wildlife. Hope your kids enjoy eating glyphosate enhanced meat from the wildlife eating vegetation covered with that stuff. Fastest and Cheapest definitely doesn't mean Safest - for anyone. Most conscientious gardeners have stopped using it. But whatever, it's your poison.
Thank you for honoring this creature's body by preparing such a beautiful meal
Dude you clearly don’t intend to grown things organically lol
You're right. I do not intend to grow anything on my trails in the middle of the woods. What I grow in my garden for the food that I eat is a much different story.
Living life ❤
Early in the morning
Just cooked slow 3 pure deer burgers stuck together ok in cast iron. No pork or beef fat.
Will be trying this out!
I need to try this !
Yes you do! Let me know how it turns out and best of luck!

Best of luck! We were only 10 miles west. Caught a lot of fish in Helen in the past.
We fish Chattahoochee wma & mostly Soque. Use to go to wildcat creek up by Lake Burton but road washed away.
@robertshirlingjr.6988 been up that way too. Really nice area. The hatchery was down when I was there but you can always find them in the lake too.
2lbs bro? 🤔 Either way looks like an awesome time. Thanks for sharing
Nice
Such a fun trip!
Be vegan 😡
Awesome hunt buddy!!!
What kind of oil finish are you using? I like that clear kind of look it goes with and shows the wood off really well.
The finish is a spar urethane. Pretty durable and locks moisture out.
Yay Im first view 🎉🎉🎉😂
Turned out great!
Stuffer
Found it on Amazon
Where did you get the sausage stuffed?
It amazes me how you don’t wear any protective gear
Gosh darn spammers!! 😂
That looks like a great Brunswick Stew!
Great music choice! Nickel Creek is great. The meal looked great too!
Must've been a typo when it said beef fat. We all know pork fat is the way to go. Beef fat leaves that film in your mouth after.
Spoiled chickens
So glad you do this so that I don’t have to 😂
Thanks for working so hard so that we can eat well!
These were so good!
What draw weight is the recurve?
I'm using 45 lb limbs. I also have a fairly long draw length so I am pulling more in the range of 60-65 lbs.
👍🏽👍🏽
Great video and content. I like to put my sausages in a cold water bath or ice bath when i take them out of the smoker. So it can stop them from cooking and so the casing won't start to shrink up. I subscribed to your channel 👍🏽
Thanks for the subscribe! I'm pretty much doing the same thing with 34 degree air blowing on them. No water means more smoke flavor and a better seal on the casing. I understand not everyone has a walk in and a water bath is a great option too. Done it plenty of times!
I’m guessing you don’t care but that shit is terrible for your land and your health and the deer you’re eating, do some research before you to start spraying one of the most toxic chemicals.
Take a look at the video description and give it a read. You might find it helpful.
You should probably do some more research on the topic glyphosate is found in just about everything these days and not because it was put there because it leaches into everything and stays there. I just don't like to contribute to problems you can do whatever you want though. Seriously do some research besides reading the back of the bottle listening to podcasts information from both sides of the argument see what you find don't trust me
Looks amazing I went on one first time last weekend as well in gray, did a pheasant Florentine was really good as well, can’t wait to get some more to try this.
Damn, you put the grinder parts in the dishwasher. All that metal oxide gets into your food. Can’t fix it. Throw it out and get yourself a stainless steel one.
Is cwd transmissible to humans?
It is not
Great job Mate.... Instead of buying a black roof. Why not just take the white one off and paint it the same green as you painted the main body? Looks great
It's really cool to see people growing their own food. It would be great if more people acquired this habit. In addition to improving our health by consuming healthier foods, we contribute to preserving our planet by reducing the use of pesticides. Congratulations on sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
Just curious if your deer liver had a stout gland smell? I've never saved the liver until now and don't know if that is normal for deer liver.
Most likely, you got bile on it from accidentally cutting the gall bladder. That will do it. It will also leave a bitter flavor
Man you’ve got awesome vids
Thank you!
Dude I really enjoy your videos . Keep up the good work
Looks real good ❤. #MississippiWatchin
