What I Plant in my Summer Garden

When I first started growing a garden, I would usually call it quits after the spring plants withered away. That doesn't need to be the case! After trial and error, I realized that I was able to keep food growing year-round, regardless of the changing seasons and challenging weather. Here are the five things that I consistently plant in the heat of the summer!

My fav thing I’ve planted by far has been green beans! I planted blue lake pole green beans and was picking enough for two people every 3 days for a few weeks! Spider mites got to half of them so I tore ‘em down and just planted a second harvest that’s thriving! But I love going out, picking green beans, boiling and then sautéing in garlic and beef fat (I’m keto so I eat them with a burger and cook in the burger fat lol). So good!
