Building Systematic Success

Rules of Planning (Intentionality)
1. Planning Before Production - Don’t leave anything to chance. Know the outcomes before you start.
2. Prioritize Product Availability - Always enough on hand.
3. Today Before Tomorrow - Don’t do things out of order, FIFO
4. Time Goals - Always have a “Finish-line” time goal for completion. (Adjust speed accordingly)
5. Set “Benchmark” every couple of hours. Monitors progress and gives you mini-victories.
6. Eliminate Distractions - Guardrails in place. Use phone only for work related purposes. Turn off notifications. Check email 2 set times per day.
Rules of Production (Efficiency)
1. Start on time, Procrastination lowers your value and credibility.
2. Always set your expectations to finish before your “Finish-line”.
3. Resist the “Multitasking myth” - Perform on task at a time, start to finish, Avoid Chaos thinking.
4. Clean as you go after every task, allow no messes to gather.
5. Resist the “Divide and Conquer myth” - Double-Team (handcuff) on every large task 15 min or more.
6. Resist “Parkinson’s Law” - Make every item fast and do every task quickly.
