WHERE do you BEGIN homeschooling? | Homeschooling for 5 year old
Our Family of 4 is in beginning stages of figuring out WHERE DO YOU BEGIN HOMESCHOOLING?
And getting that bookwork in, figuring out where in the house to homeschool, and just straight up
GETTING STARTED HOMESCHOOLING is something of a daunting endeavor.
I am doing a bit of a mini-series covering some food for thought topics about homeschooling so I hope you'll stick around and check out my other videos on HOME EDUCATION. This video mostly talks about HOMESCHOOLING FOR 5 YEAR OLD and physically where in the house we get to the bookwork. And I'm going to tell you it isn't at a desk, or a perfectly organized homeschool room. It's at the kitchen table. I go through 5 reasons why we do the MORNING HOMESCHOOL ROUTINE here at the kitchen table, but this isn't the be-all-end-all so if you have ideas on where you prefer to homeschool let me know in the comments below and help share with this amazing and encouraging homeschool community here on CZcams.
We usually finish in the mornings before 10AM, my little ones don't have the attention span to be doing bookwork all day and that's perfect! After an hour or so we all need a change of pace and it's time to head outdoors, and get some fresh air, do some gardening and just play.

Our homeschool kindergarten curriculum for our first is definitely more of a go with the flow kind of curriculum. Because I want my kid to still have plenty of time to be a kid: to eat, to play, to sleep and to experience and learn about the things that they are interested in. We do cover each subject and what we are doing for KINDERGARTEN RESOURCES FOR EACH CORE SUBJECT. CANADA KINDERGARTEN HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM 2024 is a chance for me to show that I can do it. That I can TAKE ON THE TEACHER ROLE FOR MY CHILD. We aren't setting up a school classroom; instead we focus on LEARNING EVERYDAY. TEACHING NEW SKILLS and LEARNING HOW TO TEACH MY CHILD are the things I want to accomplish in MY FIRST YEAR OF HOMESCHOOL. HOME EDUCATION/ HOME SCHOOLING IN CANADA is an amazing opportunity for our family and for TEACHING OUR CHILDREN OUR VALUES and sometime JUST PLAY(ING). UNSCHOOL STYLE

do your covers unzip to remove and wash? mine zip but only go one way, and don't unzip. haven't been able to get any answers from the company.
Mine do go both ways. I have been able to wash my covers as we did not order the spill proof ones. The zippers are quite tricky though! I have to use a paperclip and get it just right to release and then unzip. It's almost like it has a safety feature to the release that makes it quite difficult to unzip.
I never thought to add maple syrup to chia pudding! I am gonna have to try that. I created an amazing maple and brown sugar oatmeal last week and now I am on a maple syrup kick....lol Thanks for sharing!
We are a family that has to always have maple syrup in the fridge and a jar of honey in the cupboard lol Hope you have a chance to try this one out it was super duper easy :)

How interesting! I can believe with excessive hot weather raspberries would be much more challenging - they really need to be kept hydrated and even I struggle with that here in this climate. @@bakerbrewz Aww! Thank you! Blackberries do very well here and grow wild. Lots of people like muscadimes but they have too much of a musty flavor for me. We also have dewberries or wine berries in the early spring that are a thorny vine that grows wild low to the ground. We struggle with blueberries and raspberries. If you are lucky some people do good with grapes. Enjoy your wonderful raspberries for us!
The marigolds are beautiful. I really want to do an outdoor garden every year but it just hasn't panned out. We rent and don't have the best yard though and it is entirely open, too. I'd love to make a huge garden if we ever have a bigger and enclosed garden. I did a few container plants this year though! ❤ love your garden friend, gorgeous.
I hear ya! We rented for years and years! Only recently have we been able to get into gardening in its full capacity, but I am so proud of you for starting a container garden this year! Baby steps my friend ;)

Did anyone else ever dip raw rhubarb stalks in sugar? 😅 ❤
The KitchenAid does have an adjustment screw to adjust the height of the beater. I've never had an issue with with beater height when switching from the smaller to the larger Bowl on the KitchenAid mixer. Back in 2016 KitchenAid removed a spring and washer from the beater shaft and that could also contribute to things not being mixed in very well and it allows the beater to bounce up and down more freely you can also wear out your beater prematurely. There is a solution to that and Mr mixer sells a quick install spring and washer for all KitchenAid mixers.
