This video inspired me to look for a void glide on the Icon of Sin for some reason. It was cool to see John Romero w/o a cheat code but I dunno how useful it would be for a pacifist run. I was able to activate the monsters/spawner but being outside of the map didn't appear to have any other advantages other than the above. I was relatively sure this would have been done and well documented but upon searching around I haven't been able to find other examples of it.

At 06:48, there is a switch at the far end platform that the player can trigger by shooting at and it lowers another platform at the right of the main switch that commands the elevator to the YK guarded by the imps. Though there is no item revealed, was it originally meant to be a secret area?

Just thoughts on this variation of Doom - I'm agreeing with some of the commenters that it looks like the Hell Knights and Barons are stand ins for cut enemies. The level architecture is so claustrophobic. The distinctions on the hit scanning zombies is really hard to tell at a glance and the idea that in Burnt Offerings (which had a fantastic animated sky even if it was clear they looped a relativity narrow column) that they deactivated in fighting for SOME arachnatrons is baffling. Inconsistency is such a weird thing to voluntarily program
