i dont know why content from this game keeps showing up on my youtube when I always click "not interested" on everything related to it. It keeps reminding me of how I got robbed when I bought this game. Im not afraid to say it - robbed. The game doesnt work, and the optimization is one of the biggest disasters in recent years. Im still gathering people interested in a class action lawsuit.

Rail maintenance and storage yards often have a big drive-through train washing plant. Does anything like that exist in base content or mods? Maybe a truck or bus washer repurposed? Diesel trains would need a fuelling station. Where trains are stored overnight they often have discharge tracks where they can empty their waste tanks and refill with freshwater. They have equipment boxes about every car length along the siding with hoses that are coupled up to the carriages. Rare to have every siding thus equipped, usually a small subset and trains are rotated around the depot to go through several processes overnight: washing, waste tank discharge and water refill, a bit of servicing and light maintenance in the shed, then off to a storage siding until needed in the morning.

When I saw it like the first cities 2 videos I never bought this shit game, wtf Paradox game?! They should refund everyone's money for selling such a poorly optimized game?! Kick programmers in the theirs balls...

Please make more CS1 content!! I miss Oceania and Sunset City. The state CS2 is in right now I think it definitely needs more time in the oven.

That side area could be used for local public transport with a metro running on shared rails with trains. Tokyo has a lot of tracks with mixed guages for this

I think a good name for that neighborhood is balkenaken. balk stands for pole in dutch because its on a elevation and balkenaken is a name of a city in belguim named Bastenaken in dutch but bastogne in English and its in the Ardennes.

I work for a railway company. Our maintenance shed is like a production line. The locomotives and wagons ready for maintenance are placed on the south side of the shed, then they move through and exit freshly maintained on the north side of the shed. That way all the good and bad rolling stock is grouped together

That train car could be a kitsch tourist attraction, like those AirBnBs "unique stays" - _"stay in an old train car for the night!"_ type thing. It doesn't even need to have context then; it's just a hotel manager who saw a business opportunity, found some old train cars on Craigslist, and decided to capitalise on tourists looking for something fun to post on their Instagram. Just like in the real world!

A lot of old train lines were repurposed in the US as walking trails, so you could add a train line under the trains itself to support the trains for realism, while creating a pedestrian walking path down the hill, it will add walkability and realism.

The ad read was quite funny but I feel I need to say that you really don’t need a VPN to encrypt your traffic, pretty much every website and app uses HTTPS, which is end-to-end encryption between you and the website, which you get for free, without needing to do anything. Sure it’s a little extra protection on top which masks the web address from other users on the same WiFi, but in pretty much every case, your data will already be encrypted using HTTPS.

Like, one connecting central station to the industry park up north through the city center, one connecting central station with the east, one with the west, an east-west connection through the city center and an express bus line that runs from outside the map to a park and ride situation. Oh, and a connecting line for people who work at the taxis but don't have a car of their own to get to work. ...or, make a tram network.

Love this city. But it could use some detailing and a reworked downtown in New Dimesburg, Feel like it's a little flat and barren with all those parking lot's at the back of Downtown. I already know you will be doing this at some time, but it could add so much to the city...

For the stuck train pieces, have you tried the debug menu? If memory serves, you should be able to use under the simulation tab something called “toggle object manipulation” or something similar. If you won’t be able to delete it through there, you should be able to at least move it. I use that to move broken vehicles causing traffic jams. I drag the broken car elsewhere and it recalculates the pathing and usually fixes it. Worst case scenario it is out of the way.

The new development could have been an old fort turned armory/ammo plant that shut down. Train cars were leftovers that brought in solid propellants and the commercial building was the HQ building. Put some old tunnel entrences both for rail and pedestrians around the hillsides to denote both the entryway for the rail and maybe fallout shelters or underground storage/escape tunnels.

you could build a national park, kind of like kings park in WA. Have botanical gardens, parks, cafes, a lake??
