It would be nice to clarify, that L1 has two plastic washers under the spring on cartridge while L2 in the video has one. It took me some head scratching until I found that in PDF manual. There is a sticker on the cartridge. I don't like idea that it could get loose in oil over time and get sucked onto some valve so I removed it. I hope it is not a warranty violation or something.

In your video for fork bolts you have 22 N.m. it should be 22 ft.lbs or 29 Nm according to Honda Crf300 service manual

I have a question. On paper, US version CFR300 Rally has 10.2 inch travel suspension which translates 259.08 mm in metric system. Does 9 mm of difference may have any effect on sag calculation?

I'm amazed the BMW 310 GS needs a full set of every size of Allen wrench from what looks like 1.5 or 2mm all the way up to 10mm? My 17 year old bike has 4, 5 and 6mm Allen cap head bolts with two bolts only, the kick stand and rear brake lever pivot, being 8mm. If I am doing a weekender I don't take the 8mm.... Guess with modern bikes you need to take more tools then...

Can you guys update the install instructions to include the extra steps of bleeding the cartridge after filling and setting the air gap in the left fork? If someone (like me) follows the instructions without seeing this video, they might have air in the cartridge and a “mushy” feel along with harsh bottoming without those two steps (like mine).

Has anyone successfully installed this on a KTM 790 ADV? I tried it with the OBDLINK LX (model LX101) but was not able to get it to work and don't want to buy another OBD for it not to work as well, thanks.

The developer of DMD is a one man show in Portugal. As a customer, expect a lot of bugs with every new release and very strange changes out of the blue. I stopped using it.

I ruined my brand new iPhone last year, mounting it on my BMW 310gs handle bar, from the vibrations. I had to ride at high rpm, in 3rd gear, because a car driver smashed my foot and my shifter while I was in Colombia. Of course he just kept on driving off as if nothing happened. So I'll have some repairs and upgrades to my bike, on my next trip down. I'm hoping to buy the full suspension lowering kit, and possibly some other upgrades for my 310gs. I find that I drop it too often, up on the steep inclines of the parking areas in the store fronts, of the businesses alone the roads of the Andes.

This is the first I’ve heard of this device, looks pretty cool, but I’d need Apple Carplay. I like the removability of the unit so it’s portable between motos (I assume). Otherwise perfect for my CB500X RR3 and my C14!

I’d swap the pliers and the cutters for a Leatherman. Liquid Loctite comes in tiny (5ml I think) bottles. T shirts, pants and socks should all be polyester or polyprop so they dry quickly. I also take a length of nylon shock cord and a few pegs. Shock cord can be used to lash things on or repair luggage or replace shoe laces and form a temp washing line so you can wash and dry a few things overnight.

Will there be any test/review of suspension Level 2 upgrade for 22/23 mode?
