How many quarrelers had los past one dragon ogre to shoot at the dragon ogre champ?

Skirmishers don’t cause panic…rewatching this as I gain more experience with my beasts so I can actually pick things up now that I know what is happening. :)

My typical combos are Battle Standard with Battle Banner joining Silver Helms with Warbanner (Lots of static res plus damage output). L2 mage mounted with ruby ring and Silvery Wand (Battle Magic). L4 A.Mage with Lore Familiar and Warden of Saphery (High or Illusion) Or A.Mage with Chracian Hunter on a Lion Chariot with Illusion can be pretty tasty. It's also easy to get a 2+ save through Dragon Helm if you want a monster build. Loremaster with Silvery Wand can give you some utility. It's just being overpowered by L4s is the main problem. Never leave home without Loremaster's cloak on a Swordmaster or Sister of Averlon champion.

Re: Griffin vs Sun Dragon, the point difference is actually 70pts., as a noble would need to purchase the Blood of Caledor Honor (15 pts.) to be able to have a sun dragon mount

I love empire and Old World has been brutal to me. It feels like an uphill battle every time. Knocking the state troops down 30% might work but honestly I'd like my supporting characters (warrior priests, witch hunters, Generals) to have really impactful buffs.

6:22 I believe you cannot actually use master tactician to change the order of the unit the Legate commander is in. See the wording: A Detachment that contains one or more models with this special rule may issue commands when it is activated. Any different friendly Detachment that has yet to be activated this round, and is within 6" of an activated model with this special rule, may discard their Order token and replace it with a different Order they are eligible to be issued.

HE Spearmen are absolute garbage. They wont do any damage and they die to a stiff breeze, but they still cost a ton. Once you actually play games with them you realise you just gave points to the opponent. Archers at least can do some damage before they die.

i like that, but some errors....i know it´s been a year old video... but black skavens have strength 4...and the miscasted magic user was only wounded but it has to be made another injury roll, so he was probably not OOA

You somehow missed the best thing about Swordmasters. They have great weapons that strike at Initiative 6 + Elven Reflexes. They can get charged by humans and still strike first. With regards to their cost, I don't think they are undercosted that much. It's more that almost all other infantry across all armybooks is overcosted by 1-2 points.

8:28 gentlemen…look carefully at your scatter dice…. The crosshair features a small ARROW…. 🤯 This will allow you to use the Nuncio Vox reroll and the small arrow for scatter direction when the hit crosshairs comes up….

Great battle report. When the gyro and rangers ran, the ogre unit should move its full charge. If the charging unit does not make contact with the fleeing unit, it moves forward its full charge range. It has not made a failed charge - the charge target ran away.

The slight sigh from Phil at 51 mins is what Warhammer is all about.

Nice battle report, keep it up. While the anvil didn't do well at dispelling, I think it totally pulled its weight casting "spells" this game.

A model can cast only one bound spell per phase, so, cant cast both enchantments with anvil!

Ogre armies always appear sparse because they're so costly per model. Good game!

My guess for the Banner of Duty is it's intended for Pistoliers or Outriders that might prefer to Fire and Flee rather than take a charge head on. Admittedly, that would require a) Placing your BSB in a skirmish cav unit and b) wasting the magic banner on a 10pt banner. Also, Witch Hunters should definitely be picking their specialism when Wizards generate their spells, to represent them studying up and preparing for their foe ahead of time.

I really cannot understand why bother bringing a single war machine to the table.Organ guns are a huge bet nowadays they can literally kill nothing during the game and cost 120 points each ie 6,5 drakes with torpedo. Bolt throwers with all the praise the received are even worse cause the 70+ combo of s7 no AS is huge gamble with the mediocre BS3 and only 2 wounds!! The only war machines worth taking are probably stone throwers and not in competitive environment .The poor fella shot the filthy dogs with both organs and bolt throwers and killed none !!!!!That is our shooting guys either they change it or they shouldn't sell a single warmachine in the future ,

Warden of Saphery is a good upgrade for 10 points, a Great Weapon that strikes at initiative, counts as magical, killing blow... But importantly, it allows them to join the swordmasters unit on a wizard that becomes great doppelganger potential. Even giving an Archmage great weapon attacks makes them into a mini champion.

Re: Hexes and Vauls Unforging: Hexes are cast at beginning of turn, before any movement. Meaning 12'' is really short range, danger close really. It can be great when it goes off but it's really hard.

Great video - I think you've missed the point with the Warden of Saphery honour though - as you said it sucks on casters, but I think it's intended as a small upgrade to a noble to allow you to plonk them in Swordmaster units without having to go the whole hog and making them Lvl1 casters. I could see it on a BSB to allow them to join a Swordmaster unit, and gain a bit of killing power without dipping into their magic item allowance, enabling them to spend more on much needed defensives considering their T of 3. I don't think it's great, but you sold it a tiny bit short

The main benefit of the Anointed is getting to mount Phoenixes.

Valour of Ages is nice but very limited.

Ithilmar Weapons are... Forgettable rule. There's a few units that will use it, but the are hitting with S3 AP0 so they won't be doing damage.

A thallax lightning gun is actually better into marines on the multiple fire than the heavy shot.
