"The pawns next to your king cannont move" would be a different, slightly more restrictive challenge. With the one in the game you can't move a pawn in front of your king, but can move a pawn behind or next to your king. After fianchettoing and castling it would be mostly normal, with the important difference that the G pawn would not be protected so the kings defence would be much weaker.

Chess, but a spot on the board is randomly generated after every move, and, after a spot is selected, you can’t interact with it for the rest of the game (i.e. can’t move pieces to it, cannot move pieces that are on it already, etc.)

A lot of blunders in this video, "commits violence" means attacking, so there were a lot of pieces you had to take before the video ends.

Hold on... doesn't this challenge mean "Nothing can ever capture anything else"? Because if something captures something else, it Must be captured. And whatever captures it has now committed violence and must be captured. Which means an infinite progression of pieces/pawns that must be captured before the game ends, meaning you will always lose - unless no captures ever happen by either side throughout the whole game. The prompt doesn't specify your opponent's pieces/pawns only.
