Hedingham & Chambers bus driver seems to think the painted cycle lane is adequate protection for someone riding a bike instead of a safe 1.5m. A driver awareness course should help them get this right in future.

Make cyclists to have number plates, pay insurance and road tax.
How much wear do you think a cyclist does to a road surface, yes I think they should have personal insurance because of some idiot motorist, how on earth can you put a number plate on a bike, silly remark,
nobody cares fuck off the road
He should have stopped behind the first white line, he signalled right very late, he should of let the cyclist move off first.
Another look at me for CZcams type. Knocks one off for everyone he gets into bother. Your riding ain't great who do I report you to.Seems to happen a lot with you wonder why?
I like what you do!
Militant cyclists.
i could pull flat 360 in that space , this what happens when you're a beta whos never done bmx or down hill or anything dangerous 🤣 every time you post these there's plenty of room .
Oh come on! You have to share the road mate, no problem there.
I wouldn't want a user name linked to donald trump for a start
Wow ! What a major crime. Get over it 🤦
I hate cyclists
Stop being a 🐱 he gave u plenty of room… melt
Once the cycle lane ended which looked like you were running close to the lane marker you kept moving out until your were almost in the centre of your side of the road Lane, what's wrong with being within 2 inches of drain edges like I & all other CYCLISTS DID IN THE 60s only difference I did it on a small front wheel message bike with the steel tube framed basket carrier.. perhaps the Driver should have made a counter claim of Road Hog on a Bike.
Professional cycling mikey fanboys .
He gave you plenty of room.
The Police wouldn't agree with you.
@@legrandmaitre7112 The police turn a blind eye to Asian child rapists, knew about Jimmy Savile & did nothing and have paedophiles & murderers within their ranks. I wouldn't use them as a measurement of what's right and what's wrong.
A good outcome would be that the driver got fined, what if he or she had hit either cyclist, points and a fine.
You'd think they'd train the police to set a good example, wouldn't you. Unfortunately they're little more than criminals themselves.
That's an excellent idea. So, to make cycling safe again, will you ask those cycling red light jumpers to stop doing it.
The cyclists who jump red lights have nothing to do with this particular situation.
Grow up you simpleton.
Uh why would that make cycling safer? Paris let's cyclists treat red as give way because they found it was safer.
Had you ended up under his wheels he would have said bloody cyclists wobbling over the road. His friends would have said "about time they paid road tax". Your family wouldn't be in the equation.
I cycle to work 20 mile commute,i do it for exercise and to avoid the terrible traffic jams in the town area. I have a motorbike and 2 cars all taxed snd insured that i use at the werkend. Go figure on the road tax issue.
@@monkeycsl1 Cyclists should have insurance and reg numbers. What happens if you collide with my car (your fault) you damage it and give me a false name and address? If you're a vehicle with the same rights as other road users you should have the same responsibilities.
@@monkeycsl1 I am not saying thats my view. I am saying thats what these animals say. What bike do you have?
@@IThinkItsMe push bike is a boardman team carbon motorbike is a 2005 zx636
You don't pay money to be on the road he does, so he should have more rights than u. lol u, silly little man, get a car if u want to be on the road
You actually sped up, in order to cause this problem, not the ford focus's fault.
bit of a premadona me thinks
Hi Makecyclingsafe again, can I feature this video "EF61RSU Ford Focus driver right hook of cyclist, Essex Police result; Course or Conditional Offer" on my CZcams channel? I will credit you on-screen and provide a link back. Any updates? Thanks.
Looks like the another council gone bust with all the potholes and cracks in the road again.
You're trolling for vids. You're way out into the road and he was easily 1.5m away from you. Cyclists like you give us all a bad name. Get a grip.
I've got to laugh at all the pub bores here, all saying "There was loads of space!", like they know better than the police 😂
For every comment like those I see, I simply report another dangerous driver. They don't know it, but they are helping in a small way 🤣. For those that insult me, I report two.
I agree, also, look at the state of the road surface, just a little patience by the car drivers, literally just wait a couple of seconds, then pass.
Good outcome. Failed to give way to you or the oncoming rider. In need of education!
Driver earned TWO tickets for that heedless move.
@@paulflory3532 Good - do Essex publish outcomes then?
@@jimswheels Vid title says course or conditional offer. Maybe that's all police are willing to divulge? Wonder if driver could be forced to take TWO courses.
I doubt there would be two tickets, based on my experience.
@@paulflory3532 No, as there is only a single offence committed; 'driving without reasonable consideration'. Although that single offence impacted multiple parties, the way it works is the offence is penalised but impact can be considered as mitigation/aggravation. Now, once you've done a course, you can't do another course within 3 years, this is because if you commit another offence within that period you're kind of saying, "I can't be rehabilitated, so you need to escalate from a course". So where multiple offences do arise in a single event, that removes the ability to take the course.
I did not see one car passing close... I did see many cars passing close and the ford ranger was no worse then the other. Also why so slow? Going upphill? When I ride bicycle in city traffic I am basically a motorcycle that keep up with the traffic usually, and I am not a fast cyclist compared to most other.
This seems like a good job all round. There's no need to go to arguments over it. They failed to drive properly, you reported it as facility is provided for you to, and they got their course-conditional and hopefully subsequently pay more attention to their driving. Ideally, it would have been other police that dobbed them in, but volunteers doing their work for them isn't a bad fallback? One day 'black boxes' in our own cars will be phoning us in for inadequate driving. Who are we going to blame then?
He does have the right to cycle in the centre of his lane of traffic, however he is a FOOL if he exercises that right with the deliberate intent of annoying other road users. As he has posted more than one of these vlogs boasting about the penalties he has caused to be levied on drivers one can see that he is one of those self-righteous types who have no real life. Cyclists are slow - I know because I am one, (in Essex too) and are wise to be considerate of other road users. If the poster carries on like this the next post may be filed from a hospital bed
Completely agree. I am a cyclist also and this W⚓️ gives everyone a bad name. He's a Complete self centered attention seeking bell end.

GET OFF THE BLOODY ROAD YOU PEDDLING CLOWN
look at all that space on the left side of you bud, xddddddddddd
No doubt you whinge about cyclists on pavements too. Jog on, you bore.
Nothing happened I’ve been a cyclist all my life and people are so mardy these days filming absolute none-events!!
Cyclist dont pay road tax so its ok to ignore them.
Got no balls to stop police but can stop the public u gut less clown shame on u and in future u should mind ur own business simple
I love how cyclists will bitch and moan if a car passes them closely( in their opinion) but have no issues passing cars themselves closely. When cyclists start contributing to roads and start registering their bikes then they can have an opinion on roads, untill then shut the fuck up
There was plenty of room. If you don't like cars passing then get out of the way. Just because you don't have anywhere to be doesn't mean others don't. Just another self entitled cyclists
Cars should pass at least 4 feet away from a cyclist, go on tell what your reply would be if the cars were passing a horse and rider, silence came the reply?
@@adrianhowell968 🤣🤣🤣 4 feet is way to far. What about when cyclists are passing cars, maybe they should give cars 4 feet aswell. If you don't like cars passing then get off the road or give way to cars. Plus a horse is completely different to a cyclists
@@JS-ch1hk yes there's always one with a silly remark, yes as a cyclist you should make allowances for the idiots who open their car doors without looking,as I've said before cars are a immovable object when in contact with a cyclist, but a cyclist could be pushed into oncoming traffic please think before you put another silly comment ,diolch
I've reported similar to ScotPlod's professional standards, with zero fucks given.
Can someone explain what 'Conditional Offer' means in this context please
From Essex Police Extra Eyes website. "A conditional offer may be proposed in cases where a course offer is either unavailable - if the offender attended the same course within the last 3 years; or inappropriate - if the offence falls outside the guidance given for offering a course but is not sufficiently severe to warrant prosecution as the first option. If the offender accepts the conditional offer they will pay a fixed penalty fine and receive points on their driving licence. If they do not accept the conditional offer then an evidential file will be prepared to allow the offence to be heard at a Magistrates’ Court."
@@makecyclingsafeagain6575 Thank you
IT MEANS HE SPANKED HIS MONKEY
If you cycled a bike that close to his wife I bet he'd fill you in. What a nob. BTW that road surface is terrible.
There's a lovely pavement there, why risk your life for no reason? Or better still, why not buy a car? A nice top spec 9N Polo only costs about a grand, a diesel barge even less.
I’ve already got a 9N Polo as it happens. It was perfect for taking my bike down to RideLondon 100 mile this weekend. Took the front wheel off and it fitted straight in. If you check the Highway Code cars and bikes go on the road; pedestrians go on the pavement.
@@Tailspin80 I dunno boss you're massively less likely to die riding on a pavement. Riding Fort William is safer than your average road. I'm not trying to be a statistic, and neither should you. Learnt to drive in one of those Polos, 1.9 Diesel I believe. Completely unstallable lol it would always splutter to idle no matter how fast I dumped the clutch Also if you can get a hitch rack, it's way better for transporting bikes. A road bike should be narrow enough to fit, maybe not an XL mountain bike though.
@@xx-----------xx873 It's illegal in the UK to ride on the pavement as an adult. Only under 16s can ride on the pavement.
@@PixelLife101 It's illegal to jump red lights...
How to say I am a worthless mongrel without using those exact words......
He probably just didnt want you in front of him in case he had to speed off to catch a bank robber who tweeted a homophobic slur.
0:45 Perfect example of a manhole cover, pothole and car driver that understands that he must clear the vehicle coming the other way but not why the cyclist is not riding in the kerb.
Get yourself a pass pixi - A magnetic sign of a camera which you can fix to your clothing or backpack using magnets. Used it for a week so far and drivers are very reluctant to pass you. There are reviews by Ride With Roy and Electric Bike Rider on CZcams.
I wouldve definitely have parked in front of them, l live near a Police station and regularly catch them cutting a corner where i live, i sit on my bike and wait for them to move, they know they're in the wrong, spot my camera and then go round me, so many of them do it
Oncoming traffic wouldn’t be an excuse anyway. Often I find that vehicles give you plenty of room when it’s easy but close pass when it isn’t. Your safety should come ahead of them losing a few seconds on the road. I always find it strange that multiple vehicles will pass you correctly one after another, then occasionally one just drives past as if you don’t exist. You never know if it’s antipathy towards cyclists or just bad driving.
No excuse for the Hyundai doing that. Could have moved right, no oncoming traffic.
It is for exactly this reason that the revised highway code recommends that cyclists take up a position in the centre of the lane where it is safe to do so.
If you want to cycle safely stop being entitled and cycle of road. 😉
Cycle of road?
