I might break down and buy a set of those Mitutoyo digital calipers, though my Etalon dial calipers have always done the job and will likely outlast me.

You need to completely wire the harness outside of the guitar and then feed it through on a semi hollow. Usually making a jig that matches the layout of the guitar. That's how the big boys do it.

$20 for the calipers is not cheap at all.

I don't mean to be a hater but every time I see someone who weighs less than my coveralls driving a truck I have to just shake my head. I mean can you, in all honesty, even change the tire on that F series? Do you know where and how to use a tow strap? Have you ever used tire chains? A winch? A 5th wheel? Do you know how to trouble shoot trailer wiring? SMH. Good video on calipers though. Sucks you had to buy/beg for all those calipers considering the average joe will do just fine with the $9 ones from harbor freight.

You keep a set of harbor freight 10 dollar calipers when someone wants to borrow your caliper.

We have dial analog calipers that are both metric and imperial and they also display fractions :D I'm actually thinking of buying one. They have two needles.

I removed my table crank and made a wheel knob that doesn’t interfere with my table. Another tip is to unscrew and remove two of the three handles. Nobody needs more than one.

This is a great video and I appreciate the comparisons but that water test wasn't fair. It said splash resistant and you drowned it in the faucet. Pretty funny bit for the video though. lol

Great job!. One tip: 9:04 N (neck pickup) is in the bridge position. That is why it wouldn't fit. The pickup rings are fitted for the arch of the top. Switching the pickups also makes the sound balance out. The neck position is usually a weaker pickup because it has more string vibration (and a stronger signal) to work with than at the bridge. I smashed the like button and my guitar kit is still in pieces in the basement.

Another tip before you build your first guitar: learn how to spell, The N and B on the pickups stand for neck and bridge, you installed the neck pickup in the bridge position and the bridge pickup in the neck position.

The pickup ring was on right in the first place.....

If I may suggest, *Marius Hornberger* has an excellent video (actually _two_ 🙂) on doing a number of upgrades to his drill press. I'd link, but... YT deletes said links, even internal-to-YT ones. Search on: *"Marius Hornberger Inside a Drill Press"* He then followed it up with "World's Best Drill Press Upgrades" which adds still more. Marius has a GREAT channel, FWIW! Might give you some more ideas.

What grit sandpaper are you using?

Skil makes a lot of good tools. They've shot for the budget market with the huge surge in POWERFUL battery operated tools.. but I've used 20-30 year old SKIL tools on jobsites as long as I've been a carpenter.. It's like saying "does Kleenex actually make good tissues??" People often still call circular saws "skil saws"

When I buff I apply a small amount with rag or towel that way it won't splatter all over the place.You may have to go back to some places after you finish. Can up area and look carefully for rough spots. It is better to take your time.

i just discovered that my CraftRight calipers are over half a millimeter out from reality, this is not even close to usable and has cost me days of headache trying to prototype some new fittings the last few weeks, Do I am telling you now that there is a rice point that is too cheap to go.

I'm still waiting for mine, but it claims it's only about 50 lbs, not 100 lbs as you mentioned.
