Welcome to what was supposed to be a car dealer that I wanted to open many years ago but never did thanks to the crazy amount of fees and ridiculousness that's involved (especially in Illinois... lots of fees)! Instead, I bring to you various videos and projects that are usually automotive related in some way. Unlike the bizarre Kansas CZcamsr conglomerate of people (seriously, how is there so many automotive CZcamsrs in Kansas of all places?) the focus here is mostly on the 1980's and early 1990's Chrysler front wheel drive vehicles that I've adored since I was a small kid and then whatever other things I'm driving or working on at the time. If I figure out something cool or neat that can be done to whatever it is I own at the time, I'll share it here so other's can benefit from the things I've learned over the years. Sometimes I'll have other random stuff, too. But thanks for checking us out!
1989 Dodge Caravan SE Turbo! For sale no reserve on eBay!
Attention! The auction is now LIVE! www.ebay.com/itm/166878831656 The van is being offered with NO RESERVE!
Hey everyone! Yet another one of the projects needs a home. This time it's a 1989 Dodge Caravan SE with the factory 2.5L Turbo 4 cylinder engine! The van was parked for several years because it wouldn't run but it was a bad fuel filter and fuel hose. After we replaced those it ran great but the radiator was leaking so that was also replaced with a new one. Now, it's running great and is ready for the next stage of it's life where YOU get to choose what to do with it IF you are the lucky winner of the (upcoming) auction! Going to be selling for no reserve so bid it to win it! Thank you again for watching and have a great day!

Update! The car sold locally so it went to a new home! Thanks again for watching and sharing these videos! Well everyone, it's time to find the 1991 Dodge Shadow highline convertible a new home! I was the second owner of the car and my good friend Mark is the third owner. With him downsizing to move he's letting several of his cars find new homes. After around 2200 miles, it's time to share my thoughts with you, the people of the internet! If you have any further Kona questions, I'd be happy to answer them! Renegade says Hi!

WARNING! This is a long video of junked cars and no major direction. You've been warned! I was told there was a relatively decent steering wheel for my Reliant wagon at the Joliet U-Pull-It so I had to get myself out there soon as Christmas was over. This is kind of like a field trip as I walk through some of the various imports, Chrysler stuff, and a quick walk past some GM stuff. Yes, my voic...

Oh yeah, the absolute worst car I've ever owned (new or used) goes to a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport 5 speed I bought n...

Making this truck suck a little bit less. 1999 Dakota Sport 4x4 Project Progress!
I live in Korea and I bought a Trax for my wife (produced in September 2023) There have been no issues so far 1. Trax is produced in Changwon factory in Korea The development of the chassis was entirely done by GM KOREA, the team that developed the trailblazer The Chinese seeker is a low-cost version of this, the quality of the Korean-made trax is better 2. The 1.2L SSE engine was already first used in the trailblazer in 2020 and is a proven engine with no issues so far . 3. Trax's initial defect issues from the first release to the production units until July 2023 are the window motor and infotainment module (audio computer). In Korea, free repairs and recalls were carried out quickly. If the software update does not resolve the issue, the infotainment module will be replaced as a whole with a new one. No problems have been found since the production units from August 2023. Unfortunately, you have chosen the wrong GM dealer in your area. The service seems to be really bad.
Thank you for posting this video. It actually helped me find the button to pull the glass up lol
I bought my trax rs bout 7 months ago I love it great ride plenty room and looks sexy
Bro our 2024 chevy traxx is running great. You probably got a recall. We got ours in may of 2023. That sucks you dealing with that.
New junk is still junk.Nice honest review.
You got that right. Thanks!
I loved my 2024 trax until my gas pedal started having a buzzing vibration to it after hitting 22,000kms. Comes and goes on a whim. Not rpm or gear dependent. Goes away on brand new smooth pavement. Hate driving it now.
That's not good. Any idea what's wrong with it?
@@aenoymotors I'm thinking a suspension component is shifting slightly, allowing vibration to be transferred instead of absorbed. Too early to tell. I'm going to have to wait till it gets better or worse. We have harsh winters out here so I'm hoping the cold weather will make it better or worse so that I can bring it to the dealer and not have them tell me they don't feel it, or it's normal lol. Funny thing is that my brand new 2016 cruze had done the exact same thing during the first summer driving it and went away once winter hit. Maybe a chevy thing? lol
What a terrible experience for a new car, have you been able to get it fixed? Don’t stop pestering the dealer, or take it to another dealer within you state? Wishing all the best
No, I ended up trading it in for a different car.
@@aenoymotors so sorry to hear about it, but surely it was the right decision after all you went through.
Sounds like you got a lemon. For only having 1,400 miles, that motor sounds like crap.
Definitely a lemon but the motor noise is the direct injection system. It's normal to sound that way.
Had one back in the early 2000's. T3 turbo, 740 intercooler, Shelby intake, '87 3L throttle body....it had a ton of stuff done on the cheap because the wrecking yards were full of turbo Dodges, Plymouth's & Chryslers. Drove it to 308+ K miles, stripped the good stuff off & junked it
I miss the yards being full of these things but they're mostly gone now. I try to keep as many of them out of the scrap yard as I can.
funny how alot of these cars can use simple fixes and will outlast the planned obsolescence vehicles of today.
You got that right!
Hey i bought this haha
Nice! I hope you get lots of good use out of that car. It was an important part of my family for a long time.
Trying to talk my wife out of buying this stupid thing right now. Wish me luck
I wish you luck!
@@aenoymotors Looks like we are probably buying a Buick Envista instead.... luck shall still be needed, but not nearly as much as with this here Trax POS.
wow, 1500m and you have a valve tic? bro you might need to reevaluate your pedal control
It's the direct injection system, not a valve.
@@aenoymotors you know what a valve is right? and what the values in an engine is used for right?
I will pay any of you to respond if you found a solution to the windows not going up or down for me it's just the back ones works most of the time occasionally does not also if anybody has had any issues with the newer noise cancellation system causing a debilitating low tone
The window motors need to be replaced with new ones and it should work. There's an update for the ANC but the dealer should be able to also just turn it off.
Of course u did….those cars are not reliable😂😂😂
Sad but true!
That patina is gorgeous.. Love the Van!
It's a really cool van!
How much for Toyota pay this man😊
Nothing. I ended up buying a new Hyundai Kona haha
Hyundai is not reliable 😂
Looks like you and your buddy really took good care of it. 👍
Thank you! We certainly tried to. It's been a really good car.
Maybe you just got a “bad egg” as they say. I’ve been watching and reading reviews on all models and 99% of people have had no problems. I’m sorry about your situation.
Very possible but in the Trax group online I keep seeing these (and worse) issues over and over. Hopefully they eventually get it figured out... be nice to have some more good cheaper options than the typical $30,000+ car.
Oh no my general maintenence part it needs maintaining
It's a lemon ain't there a lemon law
You're basically at the mercy of the car company in Illinois. It sucks.
You would be better off with a Toyota, Mazda or Subaru. A three cylinder turbo never for me. Mazda has a heated steering wheel with the top trim.
Honestly, the only car I'd ever buy if i didn't care about much else but reliability, I'd get a corolla or corolla cross cuv. It's a bland car, but it'll never let you down when you need it most. It'll outlive you, lol.
Most likely! Sadly, the Corolla Cross didn't work well for carrying dogs in crates for the volunteer work I do.
Chevy has lost its quality. I would never buy one. Also, their higher end vehicles are so overpriced. Ridiculous.
It's such a bummer because my 2023 Bolt has been a pretty good car thus far.
I need this for my car. Gas and brake are fine, but the clutch is so far I gotta sit super close to reach it
It made such a huge difference for me.
You should have bought a Subaru❤
I've had several Subarus. They've been good cars but that wasn't what I wanted this time around.
You can sell it😊
Traded it in.
Oh no sounds like you got a rod knocking
Fortunately, the engine was okay.
That made my GD day🤣🤣🤣
Ok, after this I'm getting a toyota
Good idea!
Hey thank you so much for the help!! Any tips on accessing the panel?
It's been a long while now... I sadly don't remember exactly.
Great way to put on your turning signal! Right through the steering wheel!
Your car was not assembled properly
Definitely not!
Unions don’t give a crap about us.
I can tell you that firsthand... the UAW really screwed over a large group of us over at Belvidere Assembly back in 2008.
Good luck for 10 years whiteout problem ..i have a 2017 over 5000.$ in repair and just broke again ... reminding me my 1976 vega...what pice of crap..
Problem was solved by swapping it for a different vehicle!
I bought GM products new and I got burned a couple times I don’t buy GM cars anymore.
I won't after this, either.
Not just Hyundai, but why so many companies having issues with CVT or IVT transmissions ? Every review of any make of car are always pleased to announce that it does NOT have a CVT transmission. I won't buy a car with one which is why I bought a Kona LTD.
Honestly, CVT is hard on the fluid. If you actually change it every so often it really helps keep it alive. My buddy has a 2014 Sentra with almost 100,000 miles on it and the CVT is fine. He has changed the fluid twice.
@@aenoymotorsNissan CVTs are trash
I have a paid off 23 equinox with the 1.5L. 20k miles on it. Soooo far, nothing to complain about. When I heard about the changes in the Trax, it’s truly amazing how they released this thing. I’m very sorry you’ve had these issues. I’m a GM lifer. Maybe not much longer. Best of luck.
Glad your Equinox has been good to you. I had a 2019 service loaner when my Bolt was getting some work done. It seemed peppy enough with that 1.5 turbo.
Sounds like a diesel truck 😒
3 cylinders definitely have a unique sound
Would these be easy cheap fixes at the mechanic? Trying to gauge repair costs. My beetle is costing too much in repairs
This thing has been long gone. The guy I sold it to has put almost 100,000 miles on it and it hasn't needed much in repairs at all.
Was hoping to get this same color. Sold. There’s a white I’m financing before someone puts their paws on it
They're great cars!
Next time GM goes bankrupt I hear the South Koreans will bail them out!
I mean, the US did once so anything's possible haha
I have same but 2rs 14000 miles no issue bought new as well. And have maintenance plan
Glad it's behaving for you!
Hyundai is buying back my 2024 Kona SEL FWD due to a transmission issue. I will NOT be replacing it with a Hyundai.
Oh damn, sorry to hear that! What was it doing?
@@aenoymotorsman your Trax was a lemon and now his Kona is a lemon 🍋 😅
My outlander sport never liked second now it really doesn’t like 2nd got it new and now it has a ton of miles I definitely be floating gears sometimes lmao
I used to have a 2019 Outlander Sport with a manual. Sold it when car prices got crazy for more than I paid for it new. I do regret that though... I loved that thing.
@@aenoymotors don’t blame you I thought about it during my bankruptcy but this little thing keeps going. After owning three tercels and other tiny cars I have mad love for the mirages
I really like the Mirages as well. My current one I need to do a video on. It's a 2015 DE with the boring CVT but I really enjoy it for parts runs and stuff.
I’m not trying to be rude but why would you ever buy a brand new Chevy- especially the 1.2 litre engine that’s brand new. So the first issue. 1.) It’s a Chevy. 2.) it’s an inadequate engine… that’s just a recipe for disaster. This car was made to be disposable. It’s junk.
Small engines don't bother me really. My 2023 Bolt has been pretty decent so I thought maybe GM turned over a new leaf. I was wrong lol.
Chevy and Audi are great looking cars but you can expect issues. Toyotas are boring 🥱 but are built the best, I’ve found fords very reliable and exciting
Can't deny Toyota makes a good machine.
8:38 lmfao
Yep... Definitely not fast lol
Wet timing belt ?… RUUUUUUUUUUUN
Right?
What exactly are you complaining about?!?!?
Jist of it is there's a lot of things broken or barely working and the warranty is useless because of endless backordering of parts to fix it.
