  • Hello everybody! Back with some Mitsubishi Mirage goodness for your enjoyment! This particular Mirage is a 2015 DE CVT in a gorgeous PLASMA PURPLE. I recently purchased this car from a small car lot because they didn't want to put in the time/funds to fix it. So let's fix the ABS and Traction Control systems with some new sensors off the "Jungle site" and get that system (and the car itself) back in proper working order.
Remember, Renegade says to ADOPT, DON'T SHOP! If you're in the Midwest please check out SIRA at www.savingshiba... and MSIR at www.shibarescue... for a Shiba Inu of your very own or to sign up to volunteer with transports, fostering, evaluations, and other stuff. Thanks!

Thanks for showing us this, it was very helpful! It wasn't as difficult as I had first imagined.
I had to replace my old seized ABS wheel speed sensors (Mitsubishi PN: 4670B087) when it came time to replace my front wheel bearings on my 2017 Mirage this past week. Like you, I also had to torch and drill out my seized sensors. I cleaned the sensor bore with a drill-attached wire brush I found at my local Harbor Freight and I cleaned the threads on the 10mm sensor bolt for good measure.
Now I just need to order a bag of new plastic rivets to reattach the fender liner. Some of my plastic rivets/clips broke when I removed the fender liner.

Glad it was helpful! There's not a lot of info out there on these little cars which is a shame because they were great. Too bad they finally discontinued them...

Nice video! One thing to note, the way you accelerate around town, 3,000 to 4,000 RPM hurts the gas mileage. Try to accelerate slower, like 2,000 RPM, or 1,600 RPM, and see what happens. I do that and get about 45 MPG city, and on the interstate I go 55 MPH in the right lane and get 65 MPG.

Yes, the car definitely does enjoy lower RPM's. I'm just a bit impatient haha.

@@aenoymotors One interesting thing to note, here in the city when I accelerate very slow, 1,500 RPM, all the cars pass me, but I always meet them at the next light, and usually a few lights after that.
Just smoothly driving, but flooring it all over doesn't help get you there faster, it mostly feels like it. (:

Looks like the battery is bigger than the engine but I could be wrong.😁
